HELP (SE2) Space engineers 2 blueprints

β€’ Upvotes

I saw a post earlier about when wind turbines are unlocked and it got me wondering if anyone has a list of when/where components are unlocked. I wanted to create a blueprint in creative to build in my survival world but I dont want to use blocks that only get unlocked around the second planet. I still have blocks to unlock in verger but I want to make a carrier before I go to the next planet.

Edit:planet not system

HELP (SE2) Space Engineers 2 Wind Turbines

How do I unlock the wind turbines in SE2 survival mode?

I've completed all of the starting contracts at the FTUE station, and I've made it to the Vallation Station to start the next batch of contracts. None of them list the wind turbine as a reward, and in my build menu its locked, telling me to complete more contracts to unlock more blocks.

I'm at a complete loss. Am I missing something or are the wind turbines locked behind a contract unavailable in the Verdure Sector?

HELP Any mod recommendations to play engaging with new economy? (in current version of July 2026)

I want to try a new solo or coop modded run with economy on, but I remember Modular encounter spawner or Exploration Enhancement messing with vanilla stations/economy somehow.

What encounters/NPCs/threat mods would you recommend, that are compatible with economy, and in general? In space and planetside.

So far I only have Reavers for more challenging run ins later on

DISCUSSION (SE2) SE2 - Bigger gyroscopes in survival mode?

I have colonized all available sectors, but have not yet found a contract unlocking a bigger version of the gyroscope. The wiki says that the 2.5m variant cannot be unlocked in survival, but the 7.5m can. Did you guys find it? If so, where?

Are these missions random and I just got unlucky?

Hello, ive recently forced myself to start learning the unified grid system on SE2 and noticed alot of the time my lighting gets bugged, and it wont go away until a game restart, I just wanted to have it evidenced in case this isnt a known issue, and maybe find a fix that doesnt require me to start my game again? Yes i am aware the game is early access and this isnt a post complaining about an issue. I have an I7-14700F, RTX 4060 Ti 8gb.

This is after the Restart
This is the Before the restart

HELP Piston/Conveyor/Connector

Post image
4 Upvotes

SOLVED!!

So, essentially I do not know what im doing wrong. That picture is of 2 connectors one with a piston and the other conveyors. Went to test infrastructure before going ahead in survival (thank clang I did). The piston/connector side is set up to pull from a large storage container, the connector/conveyor side is set to deposit resources into another large container.

The resources do get pulled, but end up sitting in the left side connector instead of continuing to storage. Yes, the conveyors are connected to the right ports.

Have I missed something? Everything else on both the base and the excavation vehicle work just fine.

DISCUSSION (SE2) SE2 - Welding makes me hate my life

I have a few hundred hours of time spent in SE1.

Welding in SE2 is currently a miserable experience. Firstly, It's in Alpha and I get it, so please, save the comments about how it'll be fixed at a later date. This is just for me to bitch about a game I have been enjoying.

Range:

The welder's range is so bad that you are forced to crouch most of the time if welding under you because if you are close enough to trigger the weld on an unwelded box the game thinks you are obstructing the object (ugh!!) and if you back up slightly, well, now you are no longer in range of the welder!

Block Connection:

"This block does not have any connections." Please die and burn in hell, it's RIGHT NEXT TO A FULLY WELDED BLOCK what the actual... The trigger for this is messed up. Additionally, I can frequently place blocks to be welded which show up, but can't actually be welded due to the no connections messages. An example of this is two small thrusters 90 degrees to each other with a sloped block between them. The block can be placed but not welded. There are tons of examples of this, and don't get me started on how beyond aggravating it is that the place blueprint function doesn't let me place it on the little block stand I made to weld it up. That basically never works, but what about the auto build-stand feature? Seems great! Oh, wait, frequently it won't let you weld after you weld up the build stand because... "no block connection." F**k you.

Block Blocking:

It's seemingly impossible to weld anything remotely complicated from a blueprint because you can't ever weld all the blocks and it's impossible to know if you've got them all until you move it and... yep, there's 5% of the blocks still in the projection. Oh, they are buried in the middle of the thing? perfect.

"But the area welder fixes most of this!" Yeah, it does, but you can't easily get it from the start of the game. Give the welder a slightly better range and a small area weld to get the 'hidden' blocks. it's miserable to be modifying a build but have to alternate between placing and welding back to back because you can't weld the connecter behind the thruster.

Lastly, being able to weld from ram materials... I like that. It makes the PC much more powerful when you can carry 500 of the base three and be able to get yourself out of bad situations when flying far from home for minimum weight. I do wish there was a toggle in the menu for it, or that the toggle in game would force you to only use raw or items depending on your selection unless you change it. Right now my world happens to have a lot of scrap I've grinded down. Yes, I realize I could just not carry any ores.

The game is out as playable Alpha and people are playing it. What's my point? My point is that one of the main things you do in this game is WELD. Just make all the welders partially area welders for now and nerf it later - the most annoying thing in the game should be having to get more resources, not that I can't build something because I can't weld the damn blocks. I have built things twice trying to get it right in survival only to switch to creative, drop the build (after I built at it in survival multiple times) then go back to survival and place the attempted build in the "graveyard of shattered dreams" yeah, I made a graveyard with *mostly* complete builds instead of dropping it into my game in creative and keeping the resources.

HELP I think I need help setting up my rig

I wanted to make a small platform that was able to build small mining rovers. It should be able to dock on the piston and have the piston itself act as a garage lift for build. Once im done, I want to be able to fly out, mine and dock back in the same piston and turn it the rover off. Recharge/offload items and then once its fully unloaded do the same thing over again.

I only got 50 hours in the game and ive fell in love with it at the first 10 minutes. It is everything ive ever wanted in a game. Havent touched mods but I plan to do so soon.

Heres a closeup on my first mining ship. I have the mag connecter sitting atop a conveyer converter mounted atop the med cargo. I also got another converter between the cockpit and the 1st med cargo.

Heres my problem. I cannot transfer any items from my ship to my base! I can charge the rover as I have pipes undernearth the platform that extends from my base all the way up to my piston holder. but as for items. nothing.

I even have a sorter at the platform to only whitelist Iron ore and the thing is chock full with it. But the same thing happens. Im at the end of my rope fellow space engineers. Help a brother out! What am i doing wrong?
