hi, i just got the screen of my iphone replaced, it costed 120 dollars to get it fixed, but i do have some concerns. i already know that the message "your screen is not verified" will never go away, as i got it replaced at a third party phone repair. my main concern is, is it possible for the person who replaced my screen to have stolen my data? i keep searching about it online, and it says that's its possible, and that just keeps growing my worries (i didn't give him my password). my second thing is that when i went in to pick it up, i saw on the guys phone screen that it said something about "copy data and apps?" and i keep automatically assuming that he somehow stole my data as i saw that notification on his phone. sorry if it doesn't make much sense, it's just hard for me to trust anyone with my phone and the possibility of my stuff being stolen. my main question is, is it safe for me to continue using this phone now that it has the unverified screen, or should i move all of my data onto another phone and purchase another? my other worry is them possibly putting in some spyware or anything that can read my data...im sorry i know it probably sounds dumb but im just really paranoid with things like this. thank you and once again sorry for the dumb questions

Need some phone buying advice.

Currently using a OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and planning to upgrade. I'm a 1st-year BTech CSE student with a budget of around ₹40k (can stretch a little if it's worth it).

My priorities:

- Good cameras 📸

- Smooth & clean UI (this is the biggest priority)

- Heavy usage of social media and music all the time

- Light gaming (EA FC/FIFA, occasionally)

- Good overall experience for 3-4 years

I honestly don't want another Chinese phone if possible.

I'm leaning towards the Samsung S24 FE because I like Samsung's One UI, but I'm a bit worried about the battery, especially with my heavy social media and music usage. I do carry a power bank most of the time, so it's not a dealbreaker.

Would you recommend the S24 FE, or is there a better option in this budget? Thanks!

I'm planning to buy a new phone with a budget of around ₹40,000 and was initially set on the OnePlus 13R. However, I've been seeing a lot of discussions about OnePlus recently, things like slower software updates, green line issues, and even rumors that OnePlus might scale down or exit certain markets. I'm not sure how much of that is true, but it has made me reconsider.

So now I'm looking for a reliable alternative that I can comfortably use for the next 4 years.

My usage is pretty straightforward:

• Social media
• ChatGPT and other AI apps
• OTT streaming (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.)
• Good camera for photos and videos
• Casual gaming once in a while (COD Mobile, World of Warships, etc.); definitely not a heavy gamer

My priorities are:

• Reliable software support for 4+ years
• Good battery life
• Smooth day-to-day performance
• Good cameras
• Decent display and multimedia experience

I'm okay with Android only.

What would you recommend under ₹40K in India? Also, if you think the OnePlus 13R is still the best choice, I'd love to hear why despite the concerns.

I have been using the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (512GB) for the last 2.5 years, and it's still in mint condition. The more I look at Samsung's Ultra lineup, the more I feel the S23 Ultra was the sweet spot.

For me, it got almost everything right:

Curved display that actually feels premium.

10x optical periscope telephoto camera (I still miss this on newer models).

Bluetooth-enabled S Pen with Air Actions.

Even my colleagues who use iPhones have told me that the S23 Ultra looks phenomenal and has a very "royal" presence.

Does anyone else feel the S23 Ultra is the best Ultra Samsung has made so far?

Motorola also rolled their edge 70 max but it literally makes no sense . Phones like vivo x200, oppo x8 is out of stock. The successors are over 900 dollars i.e 80k INR

I'm looking for a new Android phone. My preferred budget is €100-200, but I can stretch it to around €250 if it's really worth it.

The reason I'm replacing my current phone (Redmi 13C 5g) is that the experience has been terrible since day one (by that I mean it's an absolute piece of shit not even worth 10€).

Here are some of the issues I've had since I bought it:

- Frequent freezes (usually 30+ seconds)

- Apps randomly closing

- Regular calls and WhatsApp calls don't even ring 70% of the time, I just get a notification after or when I open the app manually

- WhatsApp messages and regular messages, I never get notifications until I manually open the app

- The phone becomes extremely slow when using Waze, especially in warm weather.

- overheats quite easily for no reason in normal weather

- The battery struggles to last 7h with no use except normal background apps

- The final fucking straw : my alarm didn't ring one morning because it apparently crashed in the background, which made me miss work

Because of that, my number one priority is reliability.

I'm not looking for the fastest phone or the best camera. I just want a phone that : works normally in regular use, is smooth in everyday use, doesn't randomly freeze, receives notifications instantly, has a reliable alarm clock, handles GPS without overheating, lasts at least a full day on a charge, will remain reliable for several years (all things I thought would be standard for a 200€ phone but apparently not)

I'm also open to refurbished phones, as long as they're from a reputable seller.

I don't want another Redmi/Xiaomi entry-level phone after this experience.

So, if you had €100-200 (up to €250 max**)**, what would you buy today and why?

Hi all, I have an iphone 15 since one year but I’m not really enjoying ios. I’m not following the market anymore so I wanted a recommendation. Does it make sense to sell my iphone to buy an android, is there any better/equal competitor for the price I can sell mine?
Just to specify I use the phone for usual stuff, I care about having a simple os, no bloatwares, good sw updates and a good camera. I don’t play games and I don’t stress the phone too much. I could also close an eye for battery performances if not too bad.

I need to buy a new phone but I can't choose and need some advice please.

I recently posted this :

"I'm from France and my budget is under 250/300€.

I currently have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11. It's very resistant/durable physically speaking. He fell so many times but the screen is still intact after big falls and a few years. However, it lags a lot.

I would like a phone which :

- is as physically resistant as my old one.

- keeps the battery well.

- has a decent camera (it's okay if it's not wonderful, it's a plus.)

- is not an iPhone. (I prefer Samsung or Xiaomi)

- last long and doesn't end up lagging after a year or two like the other.

What do I do with my phone : I mainly listen to music, go on the web for small research, call, send messages, write notes, use discord and Kyodo, read, take some photos, etc. I don't really watch videos nor play big games.

I was hesitating to buy a Samsung Galaxy, like my brother, because I like the gallery, the notes, etc. But he dropped it one time and it broke, even if it had protection. So, I was also hesitating to buy a Xiaomi, but better than the one I have, hoping it would be as resistant but wouldn't lag."

Some people recommended these ones to me :

- Xiaomi Redmi 15 Pro + (but the screen is too big for me.)

- Samsung Galaxy S25 (but it's too expensive)

- Samsung Galaxy S23

I then went to a store and found :

- Redmi note 15 5G 128 Go. Which is at the right size compared to the pro plus. But the screen is curved (round on the side, not sure how to say that.) and I'm afraid it will be more fragile.

There is also the Redmi note 15 128 Go. But with the same problem.

What do you think, and what would you recommend me please? Under 300€.

I’m currently on iOS 26.5.2 with 940 cycles and 86% of battery health

The phone gets hot like when I store it in the trousers it actually gets uncomfortable, like someone is burning me, when I only have cellular data on

Performance sometimes it lags

And battery like 4 hours maximum…

Anyone experienced it? Tips to solve? A new battery would help? Wait for iOS 27?

iQOO 15R: If you're a heavy gamer this thing is a beast, massive battery, strong chipset. But thermal management under long sessions isn't great and the camera colours look unnatural in a lot of shots.

Moto Edge 70 Pro: Genuinely feels premium for the price. Slim design, great AMOLED display, solid battery with fast charging, and near stock Android is a huge plus if you hate bloatware. Downsides are the outdated USB 2.0 port and no telephoto lens on the base model, but honestly nothing that ruins daily use.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: Best camera in this range by far, especially in daylight and low light. But the software still isn't as refined as people expect for the price and long term update support is a question mark.

Honestly if you want something that just works well everywhere without picking a "best at one thing, weak everywhere else" phone, Moto edges it out for me. It's not the flashiest on paper but it's the most balanced daily driver of the three, clean software and no real dealbreakers.
