Neutral Wearing A Bra to Bed Doesn’t Equal No Chest… Right?

My mom says it does and that the reason she has d’s and I have… well, not even an A, is cause I’ve worn a bra to bed. To be clear they’re training bras so not even any physical pressure. It’s such a hurtful and deeply upsetting comment because part of me doesn’t know if it’s true or not

Rant/vent/negative (Sundays only) Does anyone else NOT see going braless as a perk?

They say that one of the perks of having small boobs is being able to go out braless, and I can never ever relate to this. Technically I can, but not really in practice.

Being insecure about a body part means that you do not want other people to notice it. Going braless often does the opposite, especially with most clothes.

Yes, I don’t need support from a bra for my A-AA cup boobs. What I need from a bra is the padding that makes my boobs look bigger, because it makes me feel much more confident.

Also, what about the nipples? I don’t know why, but many bigger-boobied girlies don’t seem to show their nipples as much when they go braless, while I notice many small boob women have more pointy and noticeable ones, like I do.

So when I go braless in summer, I often feel like I look flatter. On top of that, there are two nipples visible that attract even more attention, making people notice my chest size, which is exactly what makes me insecure.

I also feel uncomfortable with people’s looks when I have my nipples showing. It’s not like they suddenly become a neutral body part just because my boobs are small. They are still sexualized. With tops where my nipples are not visible, I feel much more comfortable.

I love seeing confident small-boobed women rock the braless look. I think they look sexy and amazing. But I also think that if you’re insecure about your chest, it doesn’t necessarily feel like a perk.

What is your experience? Maybe help me understand because I seriously relate 0% to this idea.

Positive Success in non-padded bras!

My boobs are pretty wide set and I always feel like they look non existent without a bra, and I hate having no cleavage at all.
After months of trying to find a bralette/non padded bra that I like to try and undo the need for padding in my head I realised my problem.
Unlined bras =/= Non wired bras.
I was an unlined bra with underwire which I realised after a little while was not dissimilar from wearing a minimiser (the lounge barely there plunge)
I bought a couple of bralettes that have more cotton/jersey material with no wire and the triangle shape is more flattering on my chest than many standard bras have been. I feel so much more confident knowing I have no push up or padding but still see somewhat of a boob. And it’s so comfy!

I still appreciate a nice unlined lacy moment but I needed this boost 😅

Advice wanted (related to small boob issue) 28C bras that aren’t ultra-expensive?

I just found out that I am a 28C and not a 32A. I can’t find any bras in my size that aren’t super expensive. I am in Canada so I always think the price is kinda ok until I have to convert from USD to CAD lol.

Help would be so greatly appreciated!!

Advice wanted (related to small boob issue) Just found out I'm 28C, where do I buy this size in the UK?

For most of my life I have been struggling with getting bras to fit. I used to wear 32B, it would often ride up. Sometimes I need to have the band shortened When I tried 30B for the first time was shocked at how much better it felt. I have just done the test from r/abrathatfits and it turns out I'm supposed to start with 28C/D. First of all those letters look crazy to me but where can I even buy bras in these sizes in the UK that look at least somehowpretty

Neutral Anyone ever feel like they’re “cheating” with sizes?

My friend (a bigger chested person) recently told me that your bra is supposed to squeeze really tight up against you and make a ton of cleavage happen (?) and just push everything together, and I was like “oh?”. That got me starting to feel weird. I typically wear a 34B or 34C, but since that conversation, I’ve just felt really weird since mine don’t really do what she’s talking about where the bra creates a lot of cleavage or whatever. Am I not actually a 34B or 34C? Am I lying to myself? Has anyone been in a situation like this before? I wear what’s comfortable, but now I feel like I’m cheating or something.

Positive Bought this tank from AE and I love it on my chest

I look so awkward in selfies and my room is a mess, but I just wanted to share this tank for those with smaller chests like me who might be looking for similar. I do have bigger hips and butt and it rides up (despite buying a medium) but that is always an issue for me nowadays with how tops are cut. I still love it. ^_^ They also have a black babydoll top that I bought that looked so cute too.

Rant/vent/negative (Sundays only) “positivity” from big chested women does not feel positive

i have been going back and forth about liking my small boobs and then disliking them a lot lately. i know that healing and acceptance is not linear but it is giving me whiplash. i’ve been actively trying to stop the negative thoughts when they happen, and sometimes i try to find “small boob positivity” posts on platforms like tik tok when im feeling ok enough to do so (i don’t 100% recommend- it can help but also make it worse).
however, in doing this i always come across comments from other women that are phrased as compliments but really aren’t. lately ive seen some new posts and comments that ive never heard of before that have me puzzled.

one tik tok creator made a video comparing big chests to small chests and how they are perceived by society. she says that women with small boobs are basically making sure that their bodies stay tiny on purpose when that is not something that a lot of women can control. she goes on to refer to women with small boobs as having a body that is in an “asexual prepubescent state”. mind you, she started the video by saying that small boobs are “absolutely gorgeous, absolutely beautiful” and “tea”.. and i don’t understand how these two things can be nice, not hateful, and make sense together.

personally it really bothers me because it pushes this narrative that having a flat chest is like having a boy’s chest or a girl’s chest rather than a woman’s chest. i’ve seen both men and women do this and it does really hurt me. women seem to do it in a way to uplift those with big boobs. men often do it as a way to explain why they find big boobs to be more attractive because they “want a WOMAN and not a child.”
being told “well at least you don’t get sexualized”? like yes that is awful i would never deny that, but why does it feel like they’re also saying that small boobs and flat chests aren’t sexy? and what’s so bad about wanting to feel sexy every once in a while?
personally, i don’t want my boobs to be referred to as “bee stings” and “mosquito bites” because how in the world is that supposed to be a compliment? phrasing it as “ugh i’m so jealous of those little bee sting boobs” and “i wish i had mosquito bites” doesn’t seem nice to me and it definitely does not make me feel good about being flat chested..

i guess i just really don’t understand how these “compliments” are supposed to be positive and make someone feel better about their small chest. i don’t understand why people can’t just be genuine and realize that they don’t have to put one thing down to uplift another :/

Rant/vent/negative (Sundays only) If society decided that the flattest chests are the most feminine and beautiful ones, and big breasts are not so feminine, not a single one of us would hate their body or get augmentation surgery done.

This is the final proof that we are artificially taught to hate our body and hide small chests. Why? Because people and society have decided big breast are the ultimate sex symbol and beauty. But now reverse it. What if we were born to a world where we are constantly being surrounded by flat chested women being sex icons and dictating beauty, while bigger breasts are being judged as idk unfeminine, strange etc...and the most flat chested women were known about their socially so beautiful flat boobs as sydney sweeny is in the real world. Men would go crazy for small boobs, and big chested women would post on a bigbooblove sub, worrying if theyll ever find a man who really doesnt care about her having big boobs and not being flat. The women above B cup would be insecure as theyd feel that they don't fit into the beauty standards. They'd hate being at the beach in bikini, they wouldn't wear low cut tops as it enhances their socially not so preferred big boobs. Does it sound familiar? Yeah because in real world we are the ones who avoid low cut tops because we can't show the socially accepted and attractive cleavage because of the lack of boobs. The world would be full of women who do breast reduction, and I think almost no one would want to intentionally change their flat chest with breast augmentation. This world could exist very easily. How? Simply if society beauty standards preferred small boobs and flat chest would be stated as a rare and very much wanted feature. This proves how bullshit is it that we feel the need to hide and cover.

Rant/vent/negative (Sundays only) I hate how people treat small chested women

If I dress "boyish" or have shorter hair I'm trying to look like a boy

If I wear bright colors or have "childish" interests such as collecting stuffed animals I'm pedo bait. Even just existing as a petite woman can reduce me to pedo bait.

Any man who finds me attractive suddenly has ulterior motives. And there are also men who infantilize me and DO have ulterior motives.

"well you don't have back pain" thanks for undermining my struggles. small/flat women have just as many problems as busty women.

If I complain about being mistaken for a child, people blame me for it. I don't even dress or act "childish". I'm just petite. How is that my fault

in media people to erase my body type. Either labeling characters with it as a minor or drawing them busty so they can be deemed "sexy"

it's so frustrating. Some people have rotted brains and don't know that women come in all shapes and sizes. I'm an adult. I'm a mother. I'm a beautiful woman. Don't reduce me to your "boob size" of consent. Don't reduce me to your "boob size" of maturity.

Thanks for coming to my rant.

Rant/vent/negative (Sundays only) Im so done with not being able to have fun and be happy during programs around water because of the bikini I have to wear

Summer is here, heat waves are hitting, and what am I doing? Being absolutely ashamed and sad whenever I attend to a swimming program, be it with my family, with friends or with my boyfriend. I hate that the only bikini I can wear on my literally flat chest is a closed straightly cut strap of bikini top with built in pad. Doesn't show absolutely anything because there is nothing to show. And in the meantime everyone around me is having fun while having their existing boobs out. I'm feeling extremely insecure to the point where I can't even have fun anymore and literally get depressed and hating myself so much. And this is how my youth going to pass away? Not being able to have a proper fun memory by the beach, pools, saunas? I hate how my family sees my dysfunctional chest, how every one of my friends have perfectly sized and shaped boobs and showing them off, and I hate that my bf sees me. I can't have fun either in the water or outside of it, like having a sunbath or something.

Positive i said this before but i’ll say it again: cotton on has the most flattering bikini tops. and they’re cheap and last for years.

Advice wanted (related to small boob issue) Best swimwear?

Hi everyone! We are heading to the Bahamas in a few weeks and I need new swimsuits! I haven't purchased one in several years. What brands are best for smaller breasts these days? I'm 5'7 and a 30C according to the A Bra That Fits calculator I recently utilized. According to previous in person measurements I've been wearing a 32A for years 🤦‍♀️

Neutral Small boobs + wide ribcage

Does anyone know any celebrities that have small boobs and a wide ribcage?

I’ve been feeling extra insecure lately because I haven’t seen anyone with the same body type as me: broad shoulders, AA cups, very wide ribcage.
I would love to see some confident celebrity with a similar body type.

I’m afraid that I look “too masculine”, specially after someone made a transphobic comment to me (I’m not trans, it’s ridiculous how some people feel comfortable saying mean stuff). My boobs are very small and my ribcage is huge, like my ribcage measurement is larger than my hips.
