An (almost) unending wait…
Took a lot longer to arrive than expected due to some sub-optimal decision-making on my part during pre-ordering, but finally got it today!

Hi gang, I am going to be in the Netherlands from 7th - 14th Aug, based in Eersel.
I wanted to know if there are any native sludge/doom/anything heavy bands out there I should check out, and will any be playing live during those dates?
Happy to travel and hour or two if so
Bedankt 🍻

Hello everybody. I'm Sam, I play in Slabdragger and our tune from 2011 album 'Regress', 'Erroneous Maximus' is featured in episode 4 of the newly released 2nd series of Channel 4's 'The Undeclared War' starring Simon Pegg. I know some of you dig the slabs so I thought I'd post it here. I'm so stoked! This tune recently broke a million streams on Spotify too so its extra weird for me. Fcuk. Hahaha

The one that immediately comes to mind is 1000 Year Internal War but outside of that I struggle to pinpoint what songs he contributes harsh vocals to. Do y’all know of any other tracks he does that on?

Killifornia (Ed Kenper)
Great intro sample is genius, first riff has brilliant pedal that tickles the ears, insanely evil tone** **such a good opening to the album, had to listen to the the vocals at 6:36 a couple times because it was magical.
10/10
Ripping into pieces (Peter Sutcliffe)
Solid bass good guitar riffs intro was mixed well I liked this song a lot
7/10
Megalomania (Herbert Mullin)
The melody is fire, such a brain scratching guitar tone at 2:07 I thoroughly enjoyed this track
9/10
Green river
Such a sexy fuzz and wah pedal + tone, the drums added to much to this song I really liked the intricacies of sound used.
8.5/10
Cities on flame with rock and roll
I liked this style a lot and the bass was undoubtedly the best part of the song
8/10
Master of brutality (John Wayne Gacy)

This is the third episode of my spin off series with Jeff Caxide, where we dissect and talk about the short stories of Stephen King. This episode we talk about his 2008 horror anthology “Just After Sunset.”

hey everyone, i’m trying to find the lyrics for the song "Green Whore" by the band LEAK from their album God Hates the South. i’ve searched everywhere online, but the lyrics are absent from databases like Genius or anywhere else. does anyone happen to have a physical copy/liner notes, or has anyone managed to transcribe this track? any help would be appreciated!

Ficou bom??
Compared to Saint Vitus being a doom band with hardcore influence, Black Flag is a hardcore band and introduced doom influences on this song, "Nothing Left Inside." Both songs "Saint Vitus" and "Nothing Left Inside" were released in 1984.
Doom + Hardcore... hardcore + Doom... either way, sludgey as fuck!
A doom band using hardcore influence... Proto-sludge? This is literally the first track of their first album, not at all a genre shift later down the line. This was also released the same year as Black Flag's "Nothing Left Inside," which is a hardcore song with doom influence, the opposite direction of influences from SV.
Also working on a playlist called "Band/Song/Album" just for songs named after the album named after the band. Kinda hard to find enough.

"Everybody knows, or at least our most dedicated fans know, that I had to perform sitting down last year during the Crowbar/Eyehategod US tour. I have a bilateral synovial cyst in my spine that is beginning to flare up again, and it's given me a lot of problems," Windstein explained in the video. He went on to say that he has been dealing with a flare up of the cyst for the past few weeks, and that he'll be starting physical therapy for it tomorrow.
