Hi folks,

I'm pretty new to slingshots. I have a Scout LT which is neat but I'd like to try something with a hammer grip. I can't afford simple shots Hammer XT at the moment (they are also sold out) unless I skip groceries this week but my wife said no :).

Can anyone suggest a few slingshots with a hammer grip? I'm also in Canada if that makes a difference.

S-Airship is fitted with 1836 at the tips and 1632 at the pouch, 170mm active length shooting 8mm steel. Nice balance.

S-SYNX 90 is wearing 1842 at the tips and 2040 at the pouch, 170mm active shooting 9.5mm steel. A little over powered, lil bit of pouch slap, but the smack on the can is deeply satisfying. Heavier draw than necessary, more tuning needed.

Is there any real advantage to doing this? Not really, aside from the rapid acceleration. I have some heavier draw sets made up for heavy ammo, I think, as always with tubes, thats where the real advantage of tubes comes in. Flats will always have the advantage on contraction rate, but that starts to mean less when the ammo is heavy enough to stop it reaching that contraction rate. Flats are a sports car, tubes are a work truck. Imo.

I don't know if I should keep a hold of them as a amount of money I can get as and if needed in the future or to sell them now. I also have 100s of. Rolls of 4.5-.6 rubber of all makes during my seeing what I like phase......

I'll never use it as I've gotten lazy on the admin and prefer to buy bands to use, I could do it myself again and Save a load of cash hence not selling up just yet. It's all stored in air tight UV protected bags . Partly I haven't put the time into learning tying TTF band versus OTT. I'll sort myself out I think as I'm getting back into shooting more. Loving it again but just keeping to myself plinking in the garden.

Any favourites here?. All g10 or high end hand made frames from different makers......I did just buy the limited edition TTF from simpleshot only for some jobs worth customs agent taggimg it as dangerous and returned to the US! I'm gutted was looking forward to adding to my collection with that stunning frame. All my frames are pristine no frame hits ever. (Touch wood!)

SniperSling Ghost TTF. 22/12 taper, 165mm active length, 0.5mm AK Velocity. One of my favourite TTF frames. Personally I find it shoots best with a lose(ish) grip allowing the tips to square up naturally.

initial impressions are it is very well made, not the most comfortable to hold, but i’ll take the tradeoff for such a cool design 🤓

Wondering about any heavy duty slingshots that can handle theratube silver or even higher?

A couple years ago I got into making/shoot slingshots. Originally started so me and the dog (now dogs) could get some chipmunks that were getting into the shed. I've moved up to air rifles for that job now. I still enjoy making slingshots. I've just got so many now that I don't feel like making anymore until I get rid of some. Not sure if this is the place to ask since it looks like its all about modern slingshots but does anyone know if theres a good place to get one of those traditional style slings like they used in ancient rome?

I just printed this with ABS, 90% infill seems strong enough, not sure about the color though 😂😂

Start with the big one, if you hit, move to the next smallest, if you miss, return to the start.

For years the majority of my shooting has been outside and on the move, very little time was spent at the catch box shooting at a measured consistent distance. Recently that seems to have flipped, not sure why though.

On a side note, that little bead retention frame is remarkably easy to shoot, it's a lot of fun.

So I saw a few people recomend this slingshot, and was looking to scratch an itch for a new frame. Got this frame really cheap of alibaba, seems like its cast from potmetal. What's the consensus on whether or not I should use this thing?

I confused the Shootin' Shack with one of my other sheds and tried to put an old motorbike in it. So I made a sign to avoid any future confusion. It's a bit rough but it'll probably need replacing after I hit it with some heavy flyers.

This is my frameless that has 1632 simple shot tubes on it I usually shoot 1/4 ammo with it, but it seems like I can’t even go through both sides of a can.
