Console The sink doesn’t have waiting time!!!!

I feel so stupid right now. I’m in the fuel phase and I decided to sink all the byproducts. I was using multiple sinks because the process was too slow and my refiners kept clogging up.

Turns out that the problem was not the sink, but the convey belt!

The sink destroys the items at the same rate you feed them into it ….

Lwt this be a PSA to all of my fellow new Phase 3 pioneers: Get Production Amp, throw a Somersloop into a single random constructor, shove as many slugs into it as possible, and don't look back.

PC New (I think) design I made for a more gradual slope in ramps for vehicles. Thoughts?

Its basically just a 1m ramp, then 2m, then 4m continuing up to the top of the ramp, then the same steps in reverse. I liked this because you have all of the materials to do this from tier 1 and it works really well with vehicles especially.

PC I finished the game on my own for the first time, here are my observations

Unlike what I take from 80%+ of people's posts I've seen, I didn't automate everything like I could have. I used one iron node to fully automate all the way to modular frames. That was the only item I did that with. Everything else I would run or fly from point to point, bringing the necessary pieces to where I was making them, whatever it was, and no matter how many times I had to do that.

I discovered mods later on in the game, and used quite a few of them to assist with various things. My favorite ones are Smart! by Alex, Crash Site Beacons by SirDigby, Country Flags by Andre Aquilla, Laser Power Cable also by Andre, and a few others. But by far, my fave mod is Hover Pack Ultimate by Isotope. It's an extension on the hover pack you get from the Awesome Shop. I use it all the time. There are many others you can download and use, but these are my all time faves. (there are plenty of mods that are called cheats, but I didn't use any of those. Personal choice)

It took my 374 hours of total game play to get to the end, and watching the final animation of the rocket launching was awesome! I've never finished a game like this, and I never thought I would actually get all the way to the end, but I did.

Now that I've completed the game, I thought I'd put some of the skills I've acquired playing the game through to the end to use. I told myself that I would demolish everything I had built, and move to a better location. I started this save very close to the north east tip of the map, and I'd keep going to the edge of the boundary, then ADA would threaten to terminate me if I didn't back LOL. This happened more times than I dare to recount!

The only thing about starting again in another area, I don't have much of an imagination. I could take all the tips from the top experts that I can remember, but it doesn't do me any good. But that doesn't mean I'm giving up! Actually, I took a look around after destroying everything, and saw I'm in one of the best places to build everything I need. I have iron, copper, limestone, which are the 3 major building ores you need to make practically anything you want. I have to go a little further for things like oil an bauxite, but everything you need can't be in one area. I even have full access to raw quartz and SAM.

The distance doesn't matter cos of the transport options you have. The way I had set up my world, I had 1 truck circling my area feeding raw quartz to make silica, which made alclad casings and sheets. That was a battle for me.

I discovered how useful geothermal generators are for unlimited power, even though they fluctuate, they still provide enough power for me to use. I kept my coal power I build from the beginning, and have expanded on it. Power was always my biggest issue, but the Geo Gens help a lot. I've seen many videos on how to set up power using oil feeding fuel-powered generators down the line, and tried to set some up, without much success. I can't seem to figure out how to get all my gens to work and maintain the power I'd like to produce.

Like I've said in previous posts, I have so much more to say, but I don't want to bore anyone. Thank you for reading.

Hey all!

Long time lurker, I thought I'd share some images of a recent build (or two) I've done! Hope you like them. Both buildings are dedicated to 10 smart plating a minute (5x space elevator requirements)

Working with such tall buildings is difficult, especially when you need a lot of machines doing the same thing, and can't just have a long line of manifolds. Thankfully with the power of logistics layers, all the spaghetti is neatly hidden away!

I'd love to hear your feedback on my builds! The next plans are to finish the decorating, and design a road.

(Btw, HVAC designs on top are by Rycie)

PC How do I run my trains??

I recently redid my train stations/unloading hub, but I cant figure out how to use the signals to allow the trains to flow smoothly without crashing. any way someone can reply showing me where to put the signals would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: The lines entering the train hub are on top of each other, they don’t both merge into one. The entering line goes above the exiting lines. All trains drive on the right side like a road.

PC Is there a shared planner or document that includes all resource nodes (3x shards) used to make final phase parts?

Upvotes

Title says it all. As much as love playing the game normally, I want to sink myself into a a fully optimized creative world. One where every node, with 3x shards, is used. Something that shows the most efficient way to create the final items needed utilizing every node.

I'm awful at designing buildings, but the grit of ensuring everything is perfectly load balanced and looks even is my tism. If I have to take up a 10x10 space to load balance, I will and I'll make it look pretty. In the case of multiple megafactories I want to build, load balancers may take up more space than the machines 😂

PC 5x Space parts, 1.25 recipes, 2x power

Trying to find the optimal difficulty play. 2x space parts didn't really add much but 5x is. 1.25 recipes isn't killer but it makes everything somewhat harder. 2x power means power generation matters, but it's not an impossible loop.

I think this is the song

PC Is there a visual planner tool that isn't outdated or clunky?

Edit: just to really clarify, I am looking for a visual planner akin to SaLT. If something requires say, 8 constructors and 2 assemblers, I want to be able to place them, individually, like a blueprint, and connect the splitters/mergers/belts and whatnot. I don't want to just visualize the groups as a whole, which is what literally every other planner out there does.

I've been all over a bunch of Google results and other resources and all I've found is SaLT, but with how incredibly clunky and unintuitive it is, I might as well not use it. All other planners are just the actual chains with no visual layout options, which I use SCIM for anyways.

There's no way there isn't a quick-n-dirty but *intuitive* tool to quickly place a bunch of buildings and mess around with spacing, right? Maybe some unknown tool that one of y'all knows? Thank you in advance!

PC Trying to Add Form to Function

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After 3k+ hours played, Im bored of open air stacks of machines. This is my first true effort into trying to combine form with function. If I ever got around to decorating or making things look better previously, it was just slapping items onto a shoebox. This may be just a 10 generator nuke plant and the bits to recycle and sink plutonium rods, but it still took forever. I remember why I stick to open air shoebox types. Dont tell ADA I left my mouse cursor in the build, Im not going back for it.
