My saab 9-3 sportcombi from 2007 has had an issue with it entering "limp mode". It happened during winter and low temperatures but stopped after changing the glow plugs.

Now after a rain storm it happened again out of seemingly nowhere when turning in a roundabout.

The car doesn't accelerate above 2000rpm.

The Egr valve was deprogrammed last year and i have never had any issues with that.

Went through inspection just last month without issues so im a bit frustrated.

Im kind of leaning towards selling it, 123xxx miles will go up as is my daily, has the usual saab issue of rear fender rust, the only other downside of this car is the ac is currently out(it needs a clutch) Located in the North east corner of indiana 5400 obo

I’ve owned my 2011 NG9-5 for a little under a year now and I love it and the rare 6 speed manual transmission it’s paired too. But there was a b235r sized hole missing in my heart and this car popped up just a little over an hour away from me so I had to look and sure enough I brought it home. This is my new to me 2007 9-5 Aero finished in titan gray is equipped with the 5-speed manual and has heated/ ventilated seats and upgraded with front brembo brakes. The factory aero wheels were also included in sale with a good set of hankooks on them!

I’ve been through old suspension posts but not found exactly what I’m after. I have a 92 900S. Have replaced the shocks with new Bilsteins all around (B6s IIRC) but I put some used SPG springs on all four corners.

The ride height looks great, but there’s just not any bounce left in these springs. The ride is uncomfortable (my daily is a Porsche Macan Turbo that I usually keep on extra stiff suspension, so I’m not comparing it to a 92 Cadillac).

Does anyone have a spring recommendation that would provide some additional comfort while still riding lower than OEM 900S? I get that lower will always mean stiffer but I feel like I am at the extreme end right now.

Keep in mind cover is off. Cold starts at 1100, then 900, then 700 when under no load. I recently added refrigerant and it idles lower, why could that be? Thanks

The Ecu on my 2005 Saab 9-3 Linear has gone out and I’m wondering about my options to replace, can I pick up a used one or does it need to be programmed to my vin?

This isn’t gonna be an easy fix is it?

Hi everyone, my 1988 Saab 900 Turbo is experiencing a harsh misfire under load. I’ve replaced Spark plugs with the correct copper NGK ones, plug wires (ngk) distributor cap and rotor (Bosch) and I’m still experiencing this issue. I most notice it when I’m flooring it in 3rd or 4th gear at around 3-4000rpm. It’s a sort of violent on and off power that will shake the entire car back and forth. The thing that confuses me though is that it is completely random. Sometimes it will misfire and sometimes it won’t. Though I do notice it more after I’ve been driving the car for a while. Hopefully the video can do justice to show you what’s wrong. I am not exactly sure what else could be causing this, (ignition cylinder maybe?) so any help would be appreciated and I can answer any questions that could narrow down the issue. Thank you

Does anyone know how to remove the main engine wiring harness? I know all the engine and trans connections and where the ECU is located, but where does it connect to the interior? Do I have to remove the dashboard?

I come from a family of SAAB owners (learned to drive on a '00 9-5 Estate/Wagon). I'm now proud to be the 3rd generation, having bought a '02 9-3 Convertible in very good condition.

The Daytime Running Lights are always on, and I'd like to turn them off. I see on other forums that pulling Fuse 35 fixes this, and it did, but at the cost of no fog lights and the radio decided to "lock". Not sure how the radio and lights are connected, but I put it back in. Any suggestions?

Any other tips? She's got 130,000 on the clock, the previous owner had it for nearly 20 years and looked after it, and my local European Car garage is known for looking after SAABs

2. New hood & trunk emblem

3. Better speakers (it has a CD drive, so I'm using a bluetooth radio converter, but they're 25 years old and sound it)

I can turn the key, it acts Like it's going to start but then it doesn't start the ignition. The actual physical key turn ignition part of the ignition works, and my backup key starts the car, but the original key just won't work anymore. Still locks and unlocks the door, and like I said it turns in the ignition lock. It just doesn't gauge the ignition and doesn't start the car. Keep in mind, a dropped key caused the battery to fall out. That's the only thing that I think has happened. Any ideas or thoughts on how to repair this without calling a locksmith soon

I bought my 9-3 aero anniversary a few weeks ago and it's really bugging me how one of my front indicators is faded and also I bought some blue tinted sidelight bulbs to make them look white. I've tried to go through the engine bay to change them but unless I'm just dumb I've had no luck in reaching either of them. Is there a particular way to do it? I can't find any tutorials online

After changing the water pump for a leak and putting everything back together, the engine makes a whistling noise as you hear…

Sounds like a tight timing chain but the tensioner is automatic

Noise seems to be coming from the new water pump but not sure

Car runs perfect though

Shifter in my 5spd is completely loose and sloppy and wont shift into gear. I was away when this happened and someone took it to the shop for me.

This is likely the bushing and or cables right?

Is the fix easy should i grab it from the shop and do it myself?

Also is there an upgrade kit i can buy to stop this from happening?

Confusing one here guys…
This is my uncles car, Battery is showing as 100% charged, however the whole car is dead apart from the alarm which activates when you attempt to jump the battery. Steering lock cannot be disabled, i’ve tried charging the battery to no avail. Maybe a fuse is bad?

2005 Saab 93 Convertable 2.0 Turbo 175hp
Does have a parasitic drain in the sunroof control module, but i believe the fuse has been removed - cannot check as i cant unlock the boot.
The key has a new battery in it but the car does not respond to the key.
