Ruger LCP Max EHG Availability

Post image
Upvotes

If you are in the market for a Ruger LCP Max EHG and live in Ohio, check your nearest Fin Feather and Fur Outfitters. I picked this up today for $351.49 plus tax from the location nearest to me, got the last one in stock but the next closest store still had two.

Out of state folks can order from them online, they will ship to your FFL.

Pocket holsters for lcp max EGH?

I can't really seem to find any for it. While I prefer kydex holsters I'm fine with reinforced leather as well. Only one I've found is hawg holsters but I'm not a fan of their limited options. Any other brands that you guys may be aware of please share here as it seems the holsters for the standard lcp max are not compatible.

Worth it for first revolver?

New store just opened in town currently with limited mostly pre-owned inventory and saw this bad boy sitting in the case. Looked it over, had a couple scratches here and there, but mostly just character. Never owned a revolver before but I've shot a few, Heritage, Taurus, S&W, my main carry is a Ruger max 9 and I've also owned an Lcp and ec9s so I've had experience with rugers. Seems like a fair price but just wanna be sure and also hear about some experiences with them.

250th American Gen II 308

So I ordered this and wondering when I receive it, should I lock it up and turn it into a dedicated safe queen or take out and and use it like I really intend to. I've read that it could be more of a collector's item years from now and rise in value. Just here for opinions. I already own a Gen 2 predator in 223 and love it, also cheaper to shoot than we 308/7.62.

M77 Alaskan Bush 35 Whelen.

My first M77, love it so far! Seems like it’s common for the bolts to have some “slop”? Used to running levers, x-bolts, and pumps, cycling this quickly is taking a bit more getting used to than my X-bolts. Great shooter though!

Normal for the ejector rivet to have a little play?

Brand new just picked it up. Cleaned it out and noticed the ejector has a little wiggle to it. Cause for concerns? Ran dummy rounds through with no issues havent shot it yet though

...GSR 16" 5.56

Hey all. Yep! Breaking all the rules...Though, there are NO RULES! LOL! Mounted a LPVO on the GSR and it makes so much more sense (for me). Had this setup for a while now and will never go back to a traditional long eye relief scout optic. I was way into the "scout" concept when I bought her and ran a Vortex scout optic for a while. I never had a need for quick snap shooting and wanted a more general purpose bolt gun. I've been seeing more and more "scout" rifles running LPVO's. Fantastic crossover IMHO for a modern scout rifle. Sorry for the weak pix!

10/22 and 9mm Carbine Scope

I prefer iron on all my guns. BUT my preferred gun range won’t let me shoot my rifles up close. As such I had to borrow binoculars to see the holes. I would prefer seeing the holes after each shot not requiring me putting down the gun and looking.

In short I am caving and going to get a scope for each rifle. Now I will be doing my research but I seriously doubt I will be shooting past 25 yards. I was thinking maybe those short scopes would be a better choice. Please advise.

After I choose the scope should I get anything else? For instance those foldable mounts or the one that stands on a table and etc?

I don’t want to spend a ton but willing to pay more as long it is worth the extra cost.

One last thing. Before you people suggest splatter targets please realize I already use them. I don’t have Superman site. I wear prescription glasses at the range.

Couldn't resist a simple .22LR/.22WRM for some inexpensive plinking fun, and the nostalgia of a single action.

RXM Icarus Ace

Might be kind of a silly upgrade but wow I do really enjoy it. Got to shoot another with this frame and loved it. It's a bit quirky and I have a couple minor gripes but otherwise it's rad. Fairly priced in my opinion as well.

Main gripes are, icarus add on magwell is very picky with baseplates, and the factory beveling and magwell is a bit odd/picky as well. I'm pretty pleased otherwise

Mini 14 300 AAC witg new Dead Air Nomad

Post image

I received my Dead Air Nomad LTI XC today and mounted it. I used an Accuracy Systems rod to check concentricity and sor both my reloads which cycled without suppression and the Hornady 190gr SUB-X which would not cycle without the supressor. During this test both my reloads (220gr CFEBLK) and the Hornady SUB-X cycled fine.

I was surprised at how loud the action actually was.

Ruger following suit with the Max-9?

After seeing what Ruger has done with the RXM and LCP Max, I’m intrigued to see what they do with the Max-9. What’re y’all’s thoughts?

RXM questions

Interested in picking up an RMX FCI. Could I get a Glock 17 size frame from magpul and put the 19 size slide on and run a tucked compensator? Had a buddy who did that on his P320 and it looked sweet. Kinda want to do that with an RXM.

New rifle day. Ruger American Ranch Gen 2 5.56. Left handed!

Current setup: Arken Optics 6-24, YHM Resonator K suppressor, Magpul bipod.

I've been shooting cheap 5.56 or .223 ammo with subpar results at 100 yards, 1-2 MOA.

Security 9 firing pin

Has anyone had any issues with a security9 firing pin randomly not hitting hard enough? Last I cleaned it, I put about 150 rounds through it. It sat for 2 weeks then took it out and 3 different brands were randomly just barely tapping the primer.
