honestly it depends on weather or not you’ve taken ap. if you took either ap chem/physics i’d reccomend taking them together, but if not i wouldnt and just replace physics with mane 1010. i had taken ap physics so i had so much more time to work on chem. but if i had to do both of them simultaneously for the first time i would’ve been in for a reckless first semester 😞

If you have a water bottle with a filter or some sort of Brita you shouldn’t have any problems with the water.

That is not great. Dining halls are done eith lunch by then, so you'll just have whatever their in-between offerings are (in my experience, really shitty burgers and fries).

During normal lunch meal times, they have full offerings. I do not remember what those times are, since I haven't used an RPI dining hall regularly in like 5 years.

You should not be taking both ENGR 1100 and ECSE 1010. If you want to dual major with AERO stick with ENGR 1100. Fair warning that doing a dual with ELEC and AERO is not common at all and there is no pre-built template for that so you would need to work closely with your advisors to stay on track. I keep saying dual as a double degree would mean 30 extra credits beyond the ELEC degree and if you are going to pay for an extra 30 credits you are better off using that to get a master's.

All incoming freshmen should be able to register for courses until the second week of classes. Please be very careful changing you schedule around especially if you have a class that you were given an override into as you may not get back into the class.

Hello! The registration period was changed, so it no longer closed for freshmen on the 17th, but will now be staying open until the Fall add/drop deadline (Sept 11th).

I feel like people who don't have immigrant parents probably just don't understand. I have 0 support outside of my family. My dad and brother are both educated with degrees in electrical engineering and I am expected to do the same or better than them. I honestly would rather have the degree with lower than a 3.0 GPA than no degree at all. I don't hate the content and am not miserable doing it, but my performance isn't great.

I’d recommend dropping a class or at least considering it once you get to classes during drop add. Additionally I’d recommend swapping out your hass for an inquiry to get that out of the way. But you don’t have to.

Also I highly recommend not doing a double major. Most people who double major usually waste their time and take unnecessary classes when they could’ve just gotten a minor and started taking grad classes they wanted to take. Or fall into a class of people that have a double major that lines up with their core classes really closely like EE/CSE, aero/mech. Overall it’s a massive headache for a credential that doesn’t lead to much, I do still recommend taking those aero classes towards your free electives. So you don’t have to choose but you probably should eventually.

It does conflict on tuesdays from 1:00 - 1:50. The schedule doesn’t show it well but you can see from the timestamps on the courses.

Why can’t you just add it? It doesn’t conflict with Physics 1200

I found it difficult to work even 20 hours with the course work being so intense but I was also working at Stewart’s which was an extremely draining job. The type of job you get will drastically determine how much time and energy you have to do anything else extra
