When I turned my RP6 off on Monday night it had roughly 50% battery left.
Yesterday I was unable to get the device to turn back on. I’ve tried a number of things including:

1. Holding the power button for varied amounts of time. I can get it to give me a little feedback vibration but nothing else.
2. Removing the Micro SD Card.
3. Holding both volume buttons and the power button at the same time. I’ve tried Power & +, Power & -, and Power & both, can’t get the recovery menu to show up.
4. All of the above with a second screen plugged in.
5. Unplugged the battery from the motherboard.

• undid the 4 screws in the back to remove the cover.
• unplugged both speakers and the fan.
• removed the 4 screws from the plastic cover and the two screws from the fan.
• removed the 4 screws from the heat sink.
• unplugged the flat connector from the motherboard and let the device sit unplugged for 20 mins. While holding the power button with this unplugged the device did not offer feedback so I’m 98% sure this was the battery.

6)Tried charging overnight with a slow charger. The device did not offer feedback when plugging in the power cable like it does with other chargers but I had tested the charger on my phone to verify it worked.

Still unable to get the device to power on. Are there any other steps I can take?

Update: after holding the power button I can hear the fan so it’s trying to do something, but nothing is booting up.

Hey y’all. I have the 4 pro which from my understanding is capable of running 3DS games just fine. I tried it using a randomized copy of Ultra Moon, but it crashes every time there is a load zone. I’m using Retroarch Citra core to run it as I like doing everything through retroarch. I have it set to basically default settings. 1x scaling and whatever else it defaulted to. Any thoughts on what to do differently? Thanks in advance

Sorry not sure where else to post this but I am trying to emulate Eternal Ring (ps2) using Nethersx2 on my retroid pocket mini. Works fine but the game doesn’t natively use the analog sticks and I wanted to remap the controls to make it feel at least a little more modern. I am just trying to map the analog sticks to the dpad to mimic movement but they do not register at all. This is the same with every emulator i’ve tried :( Any help is appreciated

i have seen mixed reactions, but i cant see a concrete test or awser of how it runs. i though it run well because its basiclly HL2, that runs well.

I am new to the handheld scene, and recently looking at purchasing my first handheld device.

What I want to achieve

- I will be playing mostly modern games such as switch, some PC games and potentially retro games too

- Device should be somewhat portable (not clunky big like a steam deck)

- Max £270 ($360)

I have been researching so much on the different devices, pros and cons, ergonomics and looked at second hand options, but I cant choose which one suits my needs? I have been looking at the AYN Odin Portal 2 8gb (only one available), Retroid Pocket 6 12gb, and potentially the Odin 3 (probably base).

I like the Portal's big screen and have heard it is very comfortable to hold.

I like the RP6 as it is the cheapest and is a good all rounder

Odin 3 can play a lot of the modern games very comfortably

There are genuinely so many options and prices (especially with the 2nd hand market!!) but i am stumped with which to buy. Anyone got and first hand experience and recommendations?

^{P.S, I might also be interested in streaming from my PC via Moonlight, but this wont be the main way of playing the handheld}

Update: The prices right now are genuinely horrible so I think I'm going to have to somehow wait till prices aren't ridiculous. Thanks for the advice! (will probably go with portal 2 pro)

I just sold my New Nintendo 3DS XL to help pay for a Retroid Pocket Flip 2, and now I’m waiting for it to arrive.

I loved the 3DS and had a lot of great memories with it, but I found myself not using it much anymore. The Flip 2 seemed like a better fit since I like the clamshell design, the OLED screen, and the idea of having one handheld that can emulate a bunch of older systems while also playing Android games.

Part of me is excited, but part of me is wondering if I’ll regret letting the 3DS go, especially since they’re getting harder to find.

Has anyone else made the same switch? Did you regret selling your 3DS, or was the Retroid worth it in the end?

Ps: i sold my switch 2 for an ayn thor so don’t bother saying i should get one.

So, if you remember the post made in the official Retroid Discord's announcement channel and shared around here, you might know that they upgraded unfulfilled orders of the RP5 to 12 gigabytes of RAM back in the earlier part of this month. A day after they announced this change, I decided to pull the trigger on purchasing one while thinking I would get the 12 gigabytes of RAM as opposed to the 8. They did, after all, say that "any new RP5 or Flip2 SD865 orders placed now will also receive the 12GB + 128GB configuration."

Well, fast forward to today, and I just received my RP5. It was not 12GB as expected. It was 8GB of RAM. It kinda sucks that I didn't get what I thought I was paying for, and I've already contacted support. They said I can return the console at my own expense, which is not ideal.

I'm curious: Did this happen to anyone else? Or was I simply VERY unlucky?

Anyone have a list of their Wii control settings for the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro? For the most part, my Wiimote/nunchuk and classic controller settings are okay, except for the following instances so far:

-Super Mario Galaxy 1/2: can’t seem to do any of the flying levels, and most of the gimmick levels like the balancing ball don’t seem to function well?

-Red Steel 2: Wii Motion Plus issue I assume, but I cannot register a sword slash. Everything else works great except this.

-Madworld: can’t register a lot of the normal left to right/up and down movements very well

I moved dolphin handheld and everything in it including save files to my sd card but the save files won’t load if they’re on the sd card. And when I go to save it creates a save state back on the internal storage. What the hell

I'm having a 4 face button retroid pocket classic (pkm yellow) delivered today to augment my 6-button retroid pocket classic. I want to copy all apps and settings from the 6 button (classic 6G) one to the 4 button one.

Hi, I bought a Retroid Pocket 6 and wanted to know what recommendations you have for using it. It just arrived and I want to know if I should charge it first or start setting it up right away. Also, any advice for a first-time Retroid user would be appreciated.

So to clarify a bit, I have already a switch 1, switch 2 but lately I’ve been thinking about getting another handheld device specifically for emulation. Now, my weird confession is that I am in love with a wii u, so my question is would it make sense to get a retroid pocket 5 in order to have a whole bunch of emulators on there, hopefully including the wii u? Or just bute the bullet and get a wii u and have everything on there?

Just got myself a rp6 silver stick top 8gb, anything I should know? These are also a list of the games I want to try to see if they work and are fun to play. (Ps i have a 256gb micro sd on the way to download the games onto)

So im getting an 8gb rp6 and I was wondering if this list is valid or if anything might be too harsh on the device. Im so excited and im so happy to be apart of this community and to learn new things about how this device works!

Since they both can be docked idk which to pick after seeing RGC video on the nova he said its not very portable where as the rp mini v2 looks amazingly portbale bu5 do 4:3 games look good on the rp mini v2 and what about wii I love nsmbw please give input of your opinion and maybe a little bit of pros and cons for each device also if u have the rp mini v2 what is your experience with device
