Post apocalyptic action anime from madhouse

Both Chun Li from Street Fighters II V and Sarah Bryant from Virtua Fighter anime series have a lot in common as they were both kidnapped and Brainwashed by their enemies as they were forced to fight against their friends/allies later in the series until they're free from the brainwashing control.

To go along with my other post, I thought a picture would make this hopefully stand out to more people. Gatchaman II Complete Series is now available on Internet Archive, along with the original series. If you ever played Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the Wii and you loved Ken the Eagle and Jun the Swan's character designs (like me) and you were curious about checking the series out, now you can without waiting months for a listing on eBay to randomly show up and then needing hundreds of dollars to actually buy it.

Seriously, I couldn't find a copy on eBay for months until it finally showed up and I snagged it. I don't think retro anime fans should have to deal with that in order to watch a show that interests them. That's the reason I decided to spend 4 days to upload it. Seriously, my Internet must be awful because the upload kept failing and restarting and it took forever to finally get it published.

I also included Gatchaman F in this picture because I own this as well and I'm currently uploading the discs to my Google Drive to send them over to a Reddit user who was looking for it. If people are interested, I may consider uploading Gatchaman F Complete Series to Internet Archive as well. I want this entire series to be accessible to everyone.

It's such an influential show and I think it still holds up well. The animation is also surprisingly great for an anime from the 70s. Part 1 is also available on Internet Archive so retro anime fans can easily find parts 1 and 2 if they are interested. I probably will upload Gatchaman F as well, but I'm anticipating it to take another 4 days to upload so I really hope it's worth the time and effort. If just a few people are able to finish the show, that's worth it enough for me. Accessibility is more important now than ever now.

If anyone is looking for Gatchaman II and doesn't have the money to buy the very rare and expensive DVD set, you can easily find it online now. The entire Gatchaman II series has been uploaded to Internet Archive. I uploaded it there because I want this series to be more accessible. It's also worth noting the entire original Gatchaman series is also on Internet Archive.

I uploaded Gatchaman II because it was nearly impossible to find online, whether you were looking for a very expensive physical copy or just looking to download it. It's not available on any streaming service either. I feel that this will make the series far more accessible to retro anime fans that haven't had a chance to see it yet and are curious about checking it out. If anyone needs help finding it, feel free to send me a DM.

Also, if anyone is interested, I may also consider uploading Gatchaman F to Internet Archive. Please let me know if anyone is interested. It took me literally 4 days straight to upload the Gatchaman II complete series so Gatchaman F will take just as long to upload.

It's so fucking good you guys

Pros:

---I love Chirin's theme song in both the japanese and english. Really melancholic. It's some good shit! The Japanese version also gives me Starblazers opening vibes with it's orchesteral music and deep male tenor voice

---The background visuals are absolutely gorgeous, honestly breathtaking and deeply evocative

---The english dub is great. I especially like how Chirin has that sheep baa-ing kind of sound in his speaking mannerism in his child form

---I like the subversion of the mother sheep telling Chirin "Don't go beyond the fence, if you do, the wolf will eat you" and you expect the plot to kick start with Chirin disobeying his mother and going beyond the fence and invertedly leading to his mother's death. Thankfully that is not the case as Chirin never does go beyond the fence...but the wolf still breaks in and kill's Chirin's mother...I feel like there is a metaphor / message there...but I am not sure what it is.

---Chirin's adult form is so fucking cool

---I LOVE the montage of Chirin getting stronger and growing up, but also framing it as a descent into anger, hatred and darkness. It's so fucking good!

---I LOVE the somber ending as Chirin realizes he has nothing left in his life with his mother dead, his father surrogate figure dead, rejected by his community and has no friends or allies. Just himself and his neverending grief.

---He 1 upped Batman and managed to become an orphan twice.

---Vinland Saga wishes it was as good and entertaining as Chirin's Bell

Neutral:

---That fucking super cheesy 80's ass Rocky-esque training montage music...I simultaneously hate it and love it

Cons:

---The scene where Chirin's mother dies has Chirin make the goofiest and ridiculous faces possible. Rather then feeling somber like Chirin. I had to stifle a few chuckles as his faces were more humourous then anything and his prancing / jumping up and down like a monkey didn't help. it just added to the (unfortunate) hilarity of the scene and just completely took me out of the moment

Its sad that tohka is just soo much of a symbol of first anime crushes that makes her seem to be soo much of a symbol of beauty/attractiveness while the other gurls in DAL dont get recognized this much for their beauty/attractiveness to the point that they get to be symbols of anime beauty/attractiveness

But yet, the other girls in DAL deserve to be recognized for beauty as much as tohka, and how are they not others' first crsuhes as much as tohka when literally, theyre all as elegant as tohka

And yet, tohkas body assets like her boobs, butt, etc aren't even all that big, and I mean, its not all abt the biggest assets that makes them the most attractive but tohkas assets still arent that big, like girls like kurumi have bigger assets than her if u search it up and dont worry abt the anime

But my GOD, what is it abt tohka?? What is it?? This makes me sad that airheaded girls are always symbols of beauty/attractiveness compared to all girls
