The buckle is a timing chain from a Kawasaki 1400, and it waranted an equally tough belt.... so i just laid a bike chain on it and then clamped a 2x4 to it and whacked it with a hammer to stamp it in.

For a number of years, I've had a need to remove moisture from tight places (usually when cleaning crud from the AC system). Using duct-tape was not practical, and it ended up with adhesive stuck to everything. Then I realized the solution was to trim a few shims from a pool noodle. They have the right amount of flex, can be trimmed to the size needed, and are cheap to replace. First photo shows the vac hose 3 bits of noodle, and a thick poly hose. Second shows the poly hose partialy inserted using two bits of noodle, third is the finished product. It's great for cleaning the AC, and for excess moisture in the bottom of old refrigerators, and easy to take apart for flushing afterwards.

In short this was an Acer Aspire E5-575-33BM. It is now just an E5-575. I bought this laptop a replacement battery, it came in nearly snapped in half so i got a refund and got another battery! then the motherboard went out, so i bought a new 575-33BM but i received only a 575. It works so I didn't complain much. I upgraded its ram from 4GB to 8GB. Then my LCD went out! I bought another, that came in broken as well. Just my luck. I got a refund and haven't touched this laptop for 7 or 8 months and last night while researching it a bit, i found out my old chromebooks lcd was compatible with it! I ripped it apart and took out the lcd and put it in my laptop. The only original thing about this laptop at this point is the shell, keyboard, and touchpad. I had it since 2015 and I refuse to let it die. Oh and I also replaced its disk drive, I forgot to mention that. This thing has been through hell and back but it's still kicking.

This thing looks so stupid with that "new" screen but damn do I love it! It's perfect. It might only be 1366x768, but that's good enough for who it's for!
