So last month I mentioned a play to this subreddit, i worked on it a bit but have been busy and I meant to post this a while ago but here is what I got so far. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Scene: London, 1888

Characters:
William Levy – Also known as The Jamaican Inspector, a consultant brought in from Kingston, Jamaica

Frederick Abberline – William’s boss / Head detective

Ripper – Jack the Ripper, the killer

Mary Ann Nichols – First victim of The Ripper (43yo)

Annie Chapman – Second victim (47yo)

Elizabeth Stride – Third victim (45yo)

Catherine Eddowes – Fourth victim (46yo)

Mary Jane Kelly – Fifth and final victim (25yo)

“Are you sure?”

WITNESS 1
“Yes I am sure. I saw him through my window last night! Leather apron walking from the alley! He turned around that corner!”

WITNESS 2
“Leather apron? No- no. I saw him take that turn but I am confident it wasn’t no apron. I swear it was a dark coat, black or navy. No apron.”

Enter Frederick and William, walking
FREDERICK
(exhausted)
“Make way. Official police, keep back.”

WILLIAM
“Dear god… weh di hell? Mi see weh you did mean when you say it is a gruesome one, now.”

FREDERICK
“Whoever did this must be nothing short of a lunatic.”

WILLIAM
“No kidding. Mi si many violent crimes. None like dis before”

*William bends down near the ground, looking through his magnifying glass*

WILLIAM
“Detective Abberline, Mi tink mi got something here. Footprints in the dirt. Look to be two sets.” (He follows the footprints a little ways down the street) “Dis what mi tink happen.”

*Cut stage lights. Reconstruction begin. Enter Ripper, Mary Ann. Lights on*

WILLIAM
(Narrating)
“Killer stalked the victim down di street.”

*Mary Ann walks down the street, Ripper stalking her.*

WILLIAM
“She turn di corner, she seen him, started running.”

*She runs down the street in a panic, Ripper picks up his pace too*

WILLIAM
“Him was too fast. Caught up to her, struck her down.”

*Ripper catches up. Mary Ann screams before Ripper stabs her through the back.*

WILLIAM
“An… (beat) it was ova.”

*Ripper drags the body, putting it up against the wall. He raises the knife, stage lights cut as it comes down through her abdomen. Reconstruction end. Exit Ripper, Mary Ann. Re-enter William, Frederick. Lights on*

FREDERICK
“You get that from some footprints?” 

WILLIAM
“Mi naa sayin’ I know who did it, sir. Two sets of prints, one followin’ di otha, dey get deeper here suggestin’ a quicker pace. Mi could be wrong wit’ di specifics but…”

FREDERICK
“Yeah, I get it.”

It's quite obvious from all of the story lines linked to various horror movies over all the seasons of Psych that the writers and producers were big fans of the horror genre. They tipped their hats to many classic horror films over the run of the show. A lot of other TV shows will have a special spooky episode around Halloween but psych seemed to keep the theme going. What was your favorite spooky episode and why?

I was on my way home and saw a truck with a texas license plate with PSYCH on it. Then, I could’ve sworn I saw JRR get in the truck.

Nobody believes me, but I swear it was him. Has anyone else spotted him in KY?

Watching Psych on Get. Watching Shawn, Gus, Lassiter, Woody, and Henry try to figure out if one of the is the murderer and if not who did it has me rolling.

Every year my hubby buys me a Futurama calendar for Christmas. The calendar has the birthdays of two famous people every day on it, and we came up with a game: if you know both people on that day you get a point (honor system and no googling)

My hubby didn’t give himself a point for this day because he said he didn’t recognize Skyler Gisondo.

I said “I know you know who he is.” Hubby continued to insist he didn’t. I added a hint of melody and repeated “I know you know…”

Then he shouts “it’s young Shawn!”

Damnit we accidentally played Des Nupps.

This is just kind of funny, I have been working on learning Spanish and have not been able to roll my Rs. I've been working on various practice techniques to get it right. Then last night I turned on the "Telanovela" episode and was cracking up over Shawn over-emphasizing the R roll in the name "Corrine" (especially when they're talking to the writer over the jail phone and Shawn is just going nuts with it). I started trying it and I can pretty consistently get the "Corrrrrrine."

Still will take some time to get it to sound natural, but this episode finally made it "click" how to get the roll going. Corrrrrrine.

Which do you guys think is the best season? I feel like every season has a lot to offer, to be honest!! (besides the Trout episodes 🤢) Though, I do have an extra fondness for the 3rd season-so many great moments 🥰🍍

Ok, they break up in episode 8. In episode 9 she is trying to get roommates and is slightly forgiving of Shawn but says he’ll have to earn her back.
By episode 11 they are living together again and in episode 12 they are having a double date with Gus and Rachel and Henry.

Do we just assume that time has passed between the episodes? Anyone else sad we didn’t see how they got back together?

At end of Ep 13 he says they are officially back together. I think in one episode she said sleeping together was a one night thing.
They still kind of feel out of order or like something is missing lol

Henry getting shot at the end of SantaBarbaratown/Beginning of SantaBarbaraTown 2 should have 100% been fatal. That close range by an ex police officer(or anyone really) is a death sentence. Obviously it would have changed the entirety of the last 2 seasons and written off a great character but I just think it could have been executed better. Maybe they arent as close together or Jack is running away or something.

Woody bringing the body bag is A+ comedy. The finger under the nose to check for breathing.. incredible stuff.

Side note... Henry's bullet wound is on the opposite side of where Jack was aiming and where Henry got hit. Little continuity error

Hey everyone! It's been over a month since the last entry and I figured we'd try to finish the alphabet together.

Much thanks to Agent_b_anana and EastcoastAnalog for their efforts. If one of them wants to take over I'm more than happy to oblige but otherwise I will post one letter roughly every 24 hours until we're done.

It’s so funny watching The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and seeing faux-criminal profiler Declan Rand as the mayor of Gotham.

I normally watch Psych on Prime Video, but just signed up for Peacock yesterday and watched (binged) The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins and was sooo impressed with HENRY!! 😂 I mean Corbin Bernsen. I’ve never watched him in anything else, he’s such a great actor!

If you had to pick 1 episode that was the best of Psych. The one episode that you tell someone to watch that says this is Psych. You never skip it.
