Town stinks 😷…
Not sure if it’s the heat, but town literally smells like a urinal today. Looks like most of it could do with a good power wash, get all the sick stains off the floor etc 🫠

Hi, I'm looking at changing careers and creative apprenticeships/internships. I have little experience in this field but have heaps of enthusiasm. Does anyone know any apprenticeships/internships at the moment?
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
I’m soon to be moving to Nottingham and was wondering if anyone knows any cheap car parks nearish the city centre? I’ve found a few but they’re all quite expensive. I’m looking for a long stay car park for when my family come to visit. I also don’t mind parking a bit further away and getting a bus/ walking back in.
Thanks!!

Anyone have information on the new place that's opened in West Bridgford? It's called Kona and opened where sexy mama loves spaghetti was. Really I just want confirmation it's new owners and not the dirty owner of SMLS trying a new venture.

May move there as I've found a place that I like. Just want to know what I can look forward to doing if I do move there?

Hi everyone!
M, 38 - I'm thinking of visiting Nottingham for my birthday for a couple of nights (2nd-4th August) and it'll be my first time in the city. I'll be on my own, so I'm looking for recommendations from locals.
A bit about what I enjoy:
Comic book, gaming, anime and generally "nerdy" shops.
Interesting/Science museums (less interested in law/history unless it's something really unique).
Friendly pubs, bars or clubs (Friendly since I'll be on my own)
Nice cafés, independent shops and places that are good to just wander around. Hidden gems that I might miss.
I've already got a few ideas but I'd love to hear what else anyone would recommend.
Thanks in advance!

So me and some others will be in Nottingham in November and will be there for bonfire night. We've taken a quick look and it doesn't look as though there are any particular events on the night for it. Anyone know of anything that I've missed or is there just no large firework displays?

I'm meeting a friend on Friday and we plan to co-work for 4-5 hours (we both work remotely), can anyone recommend anywhere suitable?
I've heard of people co-working from Wetherspoons elsewhere but not sure if there's any decent WiFi/mobile data in any of them!

I have a perfectly good working chromebook that I no longer need or want. I was going to sell it on Vinted but decided to just donate it instead as they only seem to go for about £30-£50 and I don't have a camera to take pictures of it for the listing and i'd be happy for it to go to someone who actually needs it.
I considered just dropping it off at a charity shop so the profits would benefit a charity but then the chromebook itself could be bought by a student or someone with expendable cash and I'd really prefer it go to a family that has nothing where it would change their circumstances a little or give a poor child a resource to study with or something along those lines.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Update: we’ve decided to reschedule. But I hope all of you that are going to Pride have a fabulous time!
I’ve planned a lunch with friends in Hockley on Saturday (table booked for 12pm) and was planning on going for coffee somewhere beforehand and dessert somewhere else afterwards. I now realise that it’s Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️, so I’m wondering if it’s going to be too busy to do that?
I know from friends who go to Pride in other cities that often ppl stay in the bars rather than going to the organised event. Is Nottingham the same?
I’m more than happy to join in the fun, but not if it’s going to be absolutely mobbed!
TIA

Hello everyone!
My sister is going to Nottingham to do nerdy Warhammer shit (and historical figures I guess?). She wants to check out a Chinese chip shop and get some curry chips. We're both very interested in regional variations in Chinese cuisine. Do you have a favorite place? What is your go-to English Chinese dish?
Thank you!

Hi all, on a stag soon in your fine city, looking for some 'proper' pubs to have some beers in, all suggestions welcome, not a rowdy bunch, ta!

my only assumption was, (and I'm likely wrong) that they thought it wasn't a legitimate reason I could back up when they said I needed to provide proof, so when the uni of notts wrote a length letter evidencing police involvement, (thanks to UON staff) and my doctor backed it up too (I was in a hospital unit) they just stopped replying, I chased it 3 times and then just gave up due to discouragement.
It's a few years later and my lifes in a good place, can you help?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a female driving instructor in Nottingham who can help me prepare for my practical driving test and accompany me on the test day with their car.
If anyone has recommendations or is an instructor with availability, please let me know. Thank you!

Update: she has been found and it’s not the outcome any of us were wanting. We are absolutely devastated.

I (F36) want to reignite my childhood dream of being on the stage.
Any groups, advice, or leads would be appreciated. I'm having a Google but it's good to hear other people's thoughts too x

Looking to broaden my list of karaoke nights to go to around Nottingham, I’ve looked at some posts but they’re a bit outdated. Any idea on what’s on at the moment?

Hi there
Wondering if anyone else has problem finding a part time work? I've got a car at my disposal and also experience in fields such as customer service and logistics yet there's just no work anywhere?
Thanks!
