Hello, everyone! A little backstory - I met my Canadian husband several years ago online, and then moved here in 2024. I love it here, and happily going through the immigration process and making plans to attend college. But today, seeing Americans post this dumb shit about the wildfire smoke and how Canada needs to "fix it" - with what, a big ass fan? - makes me so absolutely EMBARASSED to be from there. I legit thought it was satire because SURELY, they couldnt be that dumb???

I was wrong.

I'm sorry, Canadians. One day I will officially be one of you, but for now Im sorry that you have to deal with the ignorance, and the lack of empathy and compassion. These people seem to forget that wildfires = people being displaced, losing their homes, sometimes their lives. and people are complaining because their precious spawn cant play outside? Give me a break. People have DIED, including a Canadian man who was helping the US fight fires. These fires are killing wildlife, too, which is bigger than a lot of people understand.

So, please keep in mind that not all of us are this dumb and uneducated to complain about smoke. To take to social media and blame Canada for this. It's stupid and I just cant wrap my mind around the whole thing.

Hello future friends! I am a young person who desperately wants to move out of Toronto and live the east coast life. I have a portable career (truck mechanic) and I hate my city. My question is: what do you like about Moncton? What do you dislike?

I’m trying to start getting several tattoos done over time, but I’m new to the local tattoo process and have had trouble getting beyond the initial conversation with artists.

I’m limited to the Greater Moncton area because I don’t have reliable access to a vehicle. I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest or most famous artist—I’m looking for someone talented who communicates reasonably well, is comfortable helping a newer client develop an idea, and is interested in building an ongoing client relationship.

Most of my ideas involve gaming and pop-culture imagery, including blackwork, symbols, characters and larger connected pieces.

Does anyone have personal experience with a local artist who:

• responds reliably to inquiries;
• is good at translating ideas and references into tattooable designs;
• doesn’t expect clients to already understand every part of the booking process;
• and is currently accepting new clients?

Hey r/moncton! We're a punk/stoner rock duo from Truro called The Orchids and have played Moncton a bunch over the last couple of years.

On Saturday, July 25^th we’re coming back to for the Summer Nights Festival at the Holy Whale Beer Hall in Riverview to play with Sloan (!), The Monoxides and a bunch of other cool bands.
