I live in Saskatoon and planned to drive to Estevan then Minot because the city is close to the border.

But looking at the prices of motel/hotel, It seems like I'm better off driving to Bismarck because it's cheaper.

What's up with the prices in Minot, am I missing something? Can someone explain?

Attended the School of Rock young actors edition at Minot State University outdoor theater tonight. Great show with an amazing cast. These kids were incredible. Love supporting local talent right here in Minot.

We’ll be visiting Minot for the State Fair but mainly for one of the grandstand shows.

Just wanted to ask since we’ve never been, how early should we lineup if we’re looking to get front row for the grandstand show?

We also couldn’t check in at our hotel until 2PM/3PM (they wouldn’t let us purchase early check in) and plan on heading to the grounds immediately after we check in. Would 2:30-3:30 be too late of an arrival for a parking spot? Any suggestions/tips on how you guys deal with the parking situation?

I'm currently going to college in Missoula, and I'm a retired veteran. My husband and I were thinking of relocating to Minot after I have my degree (be about 4 years, but we like being able to plan ahead now that I'm out of the Navy). What's it like living there? What are the schools like? Our kids will be in high school and Jr. high by then. What are your favorite restaurants?

Any good spots in Minot to meditate?

Fairgrounds put on a nice show but the parking was awful. i hear the fireworks going off elsewhere, but i dont know where, was wondering if any of you knew?

As a regular citizen, how bad is it? Are there a lot of people in uniforms in businesses? Military vehicles on the roads? Are the locals super patriotic?

My partner and I (plus our two dogs) are planning to move to Minot, North Dakota, and I’m trying to get a real feel for the area. Our main reasons are:

1. It has a very low crime rate out of all the cities
2. We actually want a place that gets snow
3. It’s cheaper than where we live now

For locals or anyone who’s lived there:

• What’s the overall vibe
• Is it fun or more quiet
• How intense are the winters
• And how dog‑friendly is the area

Probably a far stretch but if anyone happens to play PokémonGo in the Minot Area Dm me trying to see how many active players are playing or can create a group to trade, especially while it is warm.

Any recommendations on places kn town to get a ring repaired and resized? Not the best photo but the blue around the diamond is pretty busted up.

Every time i pass by the one on the south side there's hardly any cars and it's been that way since before i can remember. ive never had the nerve to try it because wdym Wendy's, burger king, burger time (while it was still open, RIP), etc was on the street with its drive thru at food hour but only like 2 on a good *day* at hardees... idk has anyone tried it? friend keeps saying it was good back where he was from but idk bout out here.
