If way more shocked by $3250 per month. That’s straight up insanity.

NYC the average rent is over $5,500/month. We are literally the most expensive place to live on the continent.

Ok, but if you're working from home, why live where homes are so expensive?

Also, median rent in NYC for 2024 as reported by the US Census was $1,811. [source]
I'm sure a lot of those are rent-control arrangements or something like that.

I wouldn't want to. My mortgage is 900 a month before taxes and insurance, but some people want to live where they live even if it's really expensive.

$3250 a month gets you a run down shitty 1100 Sq ft house rental in Denver, probably similar in many other popular cities too
