Question Men, what actually changes once you're in a relationship 👀?

I wasn't even looking for a relationship, but then I met someone who wanted one. The effort was there, the consistency was there, the sweet words were there... so I thought, "Okay, let's give this a shot."

Then we got into a relationship and it was like he unlocked the achievement and put the controller down. 💀 Suddenly everything was on low-power mode.

My friend and I were talking about it because neither of us has ever believed in playing hard to get. If we like someone, we just like them. We enjoy good conversations, matching energy, and being intentional, it just feels natural.

Men, what actually changes once you're in a relationship?

I need help How to deal with classmates?

I used to be able to get along with my batch mates but now they seem to look down on me and would like to have no business with me.

A couple of years ago, I decided to to focus on self improvement and even got to transfer schools but my decision to fix myself seem to only made me lonely. I no longer conform to my classmates who have no purpose, loves degenerate things like drowning themselves in stimulation from short form contents to hooking up.

I do try to be agreeable but sometimes I have to do something important for my craft that I would usually do the minimum in school works which probably made them think I am dumb or what but in reality I have red and experienced more than half of them combined.

Summary:
I am on my last year in highschool and I am worried if college would be worse so please help me in my situation where my classmates look doen on me because I don’t conform to their ideals because I am focused on my purpose.

edit: I also don’t look like the soft boy ticktok guy which many in my school likes, I look more rugged. Maybe I don’t look good to them that is why they dont like me more?

Dating Women wont stop ghosting me & I cannot attract them at all

I just graduated 18m, last day of school one girl came up to me yadada I think your cute etc. we talked fir a few days met up like once outside of school & boom now she is too busy to meet up like ever. I never had a relationship or any physical interaction with a woman my whole life. I am slightly below average in looks but im pretty personable & think I can make good relationships with people.
Point is I cannot for the love of me attract any other women, I got lucky that day she even talked to me as any attempts I have with women get me put in a friend box pretty quickly or ghosted. May you give me any thoughts and/or advice? Idk if its relevant but I think I dress well and present my self nice, have a job & am 6’1

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 1/2 years. In the beginning, we had lots of sex. We had lots of foreplay. He would go down on me a lot etc. Over the past 6 months, he stopped going down on me and stopped with any attempt to even try to make me finish when we have sex. I have brought this up to him multiple times. I brought it up again last night over text because I felt more comfortable doing so. And this was the conversation… genuinely what do I do?? all of a sudden he’s claiming that he’s a germophobe.. which I have a very hard time believing considering that we were just talking about doing an anal a week ago.

Dating I have a crush on a guy and don't know how to make a move without making him uncomfortable

Okay so, I noticed this guy in my class about three weeks ago and he's been driving me crazy. I don't know much about him, but seeing him smile (he was smiling mid bicker with a friend) made my heart flutter and since then I've been crushing on him. The thing is, I've never held a conversation with him. I found out he's single through a mutual friend. Now the thing is, I'm kinda known for being very introverted because I usually almost always keep to myself. One of my friends told me to reach out asking for help with school, and I did, and he gave a friendly reply, to which I thanked him with a ^ emote (that he didn't react to lmao). The problem is, we've got exams, and can't really meet unless it's for a couple of minutes before them, and they last a month, and we have a yearly break that also lasts a month. So I feel like this might be my only chance for now. Making a move is so out of character for me, and I'm on the spectrum rahhh it's so tough. Now I was thinking I'd write "good luck, you got this" on a post it and give it to the mutual friend to give it to him (since I'm not sure if we'd meet). Is this a good idea? I don't want to creep him out because my interactions with everyone is generally professional 😭😭

Dating What is intimacy for you guys? Is sex only physical or is it integrated with intimacy and connection? What else is intimacy to you outside of sex?

As a woman just wanted to hear from real guys what your guys take on intimacy is, I know every guy is different I just love hearing different perspectives. Is sex always just about release and only physical for you guys or is it integrated with intimacy and closeness? What are other things you guys see as intimacy outside of sex? Do you guys actually enjoy romance like romantic dates etc? Love to hear different responses!

MENtal health Parents making me depressed

I get tired at home, because of how my parents treat me, since the communication I desire isn't there. My dad is away from home for endless hours because he works night shift. We only see each other for a few minutes every day. He’s had this job for as long as I can remember. While at university, I met a very supportive professor who gives me advice about my career path. I can't talk to my dad about the issues that concern me because he simply can't understand them, due to his age and because he has his own problems to deal with… I have tried to bridge this communication gap but I don’t see any effort from his side. My mom and other relatives have told me that’ s who he is and I cannot change him. I am becoming grown and I feel like I'm facing the world all on my own without any guidance, I’m in uni and my grades are good. I have spoken with a psychologist, and what they suggested is that I spend more time with other, older adults, like my grandfather or even my professor whenever I need guidance. My mother is pressuring and always want more and more from me, but everytime I talk about my concerns she pushes them off and blames me instead like I’m not already trying enough. It seems everything I just told her just went out from her head immediately. On top of that she blames me that I am not there to listen to her and ask her about her day and that I don’t like her. I cannot talk to her nor my father. I have nobody to talk to, nobody to support me and listen to me. This situation is making me depressed and worthless. I’m all alone and I wish someone would really really be in my life and me because I can’t do it on my own.

I just wanna know when a man really wants me

Hi! So I’m a girl who’s always been not so smart at identifying who’s only here for a good time and not a long time. I filter my dating pool a lot but I still think somehow I suck at it. How do I know if he’s actually into me and thinking about dating long term?

I choose very carefully but still always get hurt. I recently started seeing someone, I’m scared of being physically intimate because of my fear of being used. I kiss because yeah I like the guy but then I spiral in my own head.

Tell a girl how to know if a guy has long term intentions or not 🥹

The NFLPA is investigating a complaint from New York Jets players after some of them learned of surveillance cameras in the team's locker room at their New Jersey practice facility, according to ESPN.

The New York Daily News reports that players learned of the cameras, which were hidden in smoke detectors, in recent weeks and soon filed their complaint.

Once the NFL received the complaint, it reportedly concluded the Jets have broken no rules, and no further action is needed. The league claimed that the cameras have been in the locker room since 2008, when the team relocated its practice facility, and that players were aware of them. The fact that players are complaining to their union now would indicate otherwise.

The NFLPA is investigating a complaint from New York Jets players after some of them learned of surveillance cameras in the team's locker room at their New Jersey practice facility, according to ESPN.

If the cameras are found to be in violation of the CBA, the union will reportedly consider action against the team.

Per ESPN, the cameras function only for security purposes. Footage is reportedly retained on a 30-day rolling schedule and is only accessed by members of the team's security department on an as-needed basis (i.e. reports of theft in the locker room).

It appears at least some players were aware of the cameras at one point, as ESPN reported there have been instances of players requesting help from security when valuables have gone missing.

However, when the Daily News asked current and former Jets players going back to 2018, all of them reportedly said they were unaware of the locker room cameras, were not informed by team officials of their presence, and did not consent to be videotaped.

From the Daily News:

Two out of four players contacted by ESPN reportedly said they knew of the cameras only because of investigations into missing valuables.

What the CBA says about locker room cameras

Here's what the Daily News had to report about the legality of the Jets' locker room cameras in the NFL's CBA:

The union reportedly intends to have the cameras removed, be it through the CBA or New Jersey privacy laws.

Even if the Jets are able to win on both fronts, you really have to wonder if "we need to videotape players who don't want to be videotaped" is a battle the team really wants to publicly fight, especially with the current discontent around head coach Adam Gase.

This was never dealt with and was completely forgotten about, and to this day we still have cameras in only men's locker rooms. We don't stand up for our privacy as loudly as we need to.

Men in the wild Thinking of taking some hard drugs.

How's that for a clickbait title? It's not untrue, though.

First, it kinda sucks that any MGTOW subreddit has long since been banned. I think MGTOW has changed, and so has the view of it. I could really use a subreddit like that again. I know that there is the r/AskMen subreddit, which is popular, but this isn't really a question. Plus, I actually think that there are more women in there than men. It sometimes feels like being on a petri dish under a microscope.

So, here's the meat of this post. 50 years old. So, Gen X. I don't look 50. I don't feel 50. Good job. House. Cat. Fish. Plants. Car. Divorce. No children. So, alone, but okay with it, kinda sorta. This will veer into the so-called "Male Loneliness Epidemic".

Since 2020, I had sex with the only three women who would have sex with me. I'm a solid 6 - 7 on a good day. They each were severely overweight - I'm talking like 300 pounds. So, they each were, like, 4s. That was all very unsatisfying - which is why sex is a sort of nasty practical joke. You really, really want it, until you get it, and then you kind of regret it, or at least question your actions.

My last real opportunity to be in a relationship with a girl who was essentially my equal was five years ago. She was a single mother, but that was okay. Her son was awesome, and the real Dad was a dead-beat. Well, not really, but he was just weird. Not a good role-model. The son and I bonded, heavily.

But, she had some unresolved issues. Actually, a lot of unresolved issues, from past men, and she took them all out on me. Ultimatums. Tests. It went well for a couple of months, until one time I said, "no", and then the relationship just instantly evaporated. Even though there were moments where she really irritated me, I still miss her. I miss all of my ex-girlfriends.

Speaking of ex-girlfriends, I still pine away for my high school girlfriend. It was me who broke us up, because we were hundreds of miles from each other, and doing completely different things. I thought it was the noble thing to do. It broke her heart. I instantly regretted it, and spent the next ten years trying to get back with her.

I eventually came to terms with it. I now think of it as something that successfully happened in some other universe, somewhere else, but I just happen to be in the universe where it didn't work. I also came to terms with the fact that she will just always be the one that I think about. It's just a fact. I can't deny it. She's just the one that I would drop my entire life for. Yeah, it's just a coming to terms with that reality.

There's also a lot of guilt on my side. After I broke up with her, she fumbled into an abusive relationship that lasted almost a decade. Then she had to flee to the other side of the country to get away from that guy. Then she met someone and married him. I actually think he's gay. But, even if he is, would you blame her? She gets her heart broken for no reason, and then gets abused for almost ten years. Yeah, I would be looking for a safe, convenient marriage myself by that point.

I really miss the sex with her the most, out of everyone that I have ever had sex with. It was really magical, but it's creepy to even mention that to women - and if I mentioned it to her, I would probably forever be scorned by her. But, that part was important to me. She was also the only girl who was ever truly nice to me, and cared about me. No rules, or tests, or ultimatums. We just got along. Even at the time, I remember seeing a modern art sculpture where it was like a ying-yang, but with a man and a woman, and I remember thinking that that was us. We just fit.

All of this together made the whole greater than the sum of the parts, and just enhanced every aspect of our relationship. I can say that she is the only girl that I ever had a relationship with who I would honestly, without hesitation, take a bullet for. Gladly. I would take multiple bullets for her.

It's been since then I have found out how rare it is for women to be nice and genuine to you, the way that she was to me. Even my sister with her husband. Once the scales fell from my eyes, and I no longer worshipped women, I then recognized that my own sister treats her husband the same way all of these other women have been disappointingly treating me.

This is how I knew that I had messed it up with the one. Even though I no longer keep women in general on a pedestal, and we haven't been together for decades, I still hold her in very high regard. I have kept in sporadic touch with her over the years. Over the past few years, I've been sending her a Happy Birthday email. She always responds and thanks me.

So, I called her this past weekend. It was the first time that we had spoken directly to each other in probably 25 years. What prompted it was the July 4th holiday. I was visiting my parents. They always liked her. Her parents always liked me. Everyone else's relationships worked out and turned into marriages and families - except for mine. So, my parents just said, "You should have just married her and had some kids".

I replied with, "I did! I tried! She just wouldn't take me back".

Then my Mother asked me, "Why didn't she?"

I actually had no idea. So, after the holiday, I sent her an email. "Hey, can we talk?"

That was a milestone. Most of the time, if the girl really does not want anything to do with you, she'll just ignore you, or just reply with a, "no". But, she replied with a, "Hey. Yeah. Here's my phone number." No questioning or interrogation. She also had to "schedule me a window of time". No other emails between us, I just waited for the day and time to arrive, and I called her.

We talked for a little over an hour, but it was mostly about worldly stuff. She would mention stuff in her personal life and career, and I would ask questions, and mention articles that I had read about that. I also did the "Jerry Seinfeld", "What's up with that?" That's always a good way to bond.

We didn't reminisce, but we did get each other caught up with what we know about the other people from years ago. Towards the end of the conversation, I brought up the reason and timing for the phone call. I thought, I am just going to be brief and light about it, but ask a clear question that would require a clear answer, and then shut up until I get an answer. If she doesn't hang up, that would be a positive. If she gives a clear answer, that would be even better.

I have to stop here for a moment and mention that I'm not trying to break up her marriage. This was more for closure for me. And, I did get that closure.

I told her the story about me hanging out with my parents, and what my Mom asked. So, I just then asked her, "Why didn't you take me back?"

I could almost see her quizzical look from across the phone. After a moment of thinking, she said, "I guess that I don't remember you trying to get back with me."

Well, that was an explanation, at least. And it definitely answered the question. But, I did bring up a few specific examples of when I made it abundantly clear that I was trying to start a relationship back up with her, and she said that she just didn't remember any of them. She didn't realize.

My final reply was, "Oh, okay. So you just don't remember." She replied, "Sorry, but no."

I am satisfied with that answer. It's not that she's mad at me, or regretted ever having a relationship with me, or hated me, or was still broken up about it. It was a valid, solid answer.

So, we talked for another ten minutes or so, and then get off the phone. You know that relief and exhaustion you feel after you had a major cry? That's how I feel right now. I didn't cry, but I just feel that same way.

So, like I said, I'm 50. My job is on autopilot. I'm not rich. I'm single, with absolutely zero prospects. I have a few friends, and a few interests and hobbies. My life is simple, and I am enjoying it. But, I just have this feeling like, "Well, since I'm not beholden to anyone, and my life is all buttoned-up, why not enjoy myself even more? It's my life, and it's not like there is anyone else here".

So, I want to try a synthetic drug. I am not a drug-user at all. But, it wouldn't be anything like meth or heroine, or anything that you need a prescription for. I'm not trying to be that illegal. Marijuana is legal where I am, and I have some. So, it would be something like ecstasy. Is that even still a thing? I mean, I would like to just have some from time to time, but I don't even know where to get it, so it probably wouldn't even happen. It's just something that occurred to me.
