Television [partially lost] 30 for 30 - Down in the Valley

Upvotes

Would love to watch this being an old Sacramento Kings fan! Our mayor sucked but still to this day have wanted to watch this. I try to find it every few years… I feel like I may never see it. Building our new stadium was difficult with such an awful team. Hopefully you redditors have more internet skills than I do. I saw a year old web archive link but it appears to be down. Sac is such a crappy sports town and I like to watch anything available. I’ll try again in 2029 🤷. Please tho

Films Bring lost film Crazy Times 1981 to viewers, Starring Ray Liotta and David Caruso [unreleased media]

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m a Ray Liotta fan and have been going through his entire filmography but hit a real roadblock with the 1981 TV film Crazy Times. I personally reached out to Warner Bros. Licensing, and they officially confirmed that the master tape for this film is safe in their vault.

The film also features early performances by David Caruso, Michael Paré, and Amy Madigan. However, corporate policy prevents the studio from releasing copies to individuals, so an official archival release is our only way to see it!

Change.org notes that petitions reaching 1,000 supporters are 5x more likely to get more attention and that can help reach a studio decision maker's attention. I created a petition to show Warner Archive that there is a real audience ready to buy or stream this piece of TV history and this coming of age story set in the 1950’s.

Please take 10 seconds to sign and share and thank you for your support in bring this film out of the vault!

Television Help find kerching! Season 1 and 2 [fully lost]

Upvotes

First time posting on the sub, would be grateful signposting me to find this.

This show aired in 2003 in the UK CBBC featuring Devon Anderson. Cannot for the life of me find season 1 and 2.

There’s alot of rumours that official media has been lost and can only be found through communities. BBC iplayer has no release of the show and there are no DVD hard copies etc.

Does anyone have any recordings or uploads of the first 2 seasons of this show? Crazy that it’s roughly 20 years old and there’s no archive of the show floating on the internet.

Thanks in advance!

Music [Partially lost] FLASH GAME "THE WAITNESS" VIDEO SONG

Hi everyone ! First time posting here but this is really driving me nuts because I keep thinking about it every day and I feel like I'm the only one who know this. I just want to say that my English is bad so I use translation to help me explain what I'm searching for.

When I was a kid playing the popular Flash game 'The Waitress' (by D-mah), I clicked on one of the external links on the page (when you arrived at the main page) and then that redirected me to a video page. (I used to do this a lot as a kid because it would send le to a 'ew flash game website that I don't know and find new games that's why I used to click on external links on the main page)

The video was a 2D animation featuring a woman walking (I think at night, dark atmosphere with maybe a shade of blue ?) with a song sang by a female singer. I can't remember the exact language (could be English, Russian, or Arabic something similar, but not Asian). That's alla I remember, I do remember just a little bit of the melody but not enough for something to find the sound.

Does anyone remember this specific animation video or the song tied to this link/website back in the 2000s?

Please tell me I'm not the only one..Thank you if you can help me !!

Found [Found] Previously lost media Ontario GreenBelt kids song. So happy.

I am so pleased to say that I have found the whole song after many years of this being lost media.

Come on, let's go to a place I know

In Ontario, where the Green Belt grows

Don't think twice, take my advice

This local paradise is so very nice!

I am so happy. This song was in my head for years, and I kept searching. Every post I could find led to a dead end, and I eventually thought I had imagined it. After searching again recently, I finally located the full version. I'm posting it here in case anyone else remembers hearing it and has been looking for it as well. Hopefully this helps close the search for anyone who came across the older discussions that never reached an answer. GREENBELT SONG

Television [fully LOST] The Odyssey, 8 part series from 1968, ENGLISH DUB

Something I had been looking for anyway, but it's very topical all of a sudden:

The English version of an 8 part Oddyssey series

This is missing, last seen on TVO, Canada. The Odyssey (the actual one, by Homer, the Greek poet) was turned into a TV series in 1968. It was shot rather beautifully, with plenty of authentic locations, using 35mm film. It is probably the most faithful adaptation done to this day. It was an Italian-French-German-Yugoslavian coproduction with an international cast (surprisingly, Barbara Bach is there too).
People tend to see it primarily as Italian, so you might see it listed as "Odissea", but they dubbed the voices too. Basically all languages were dubbed on later. So it's hard to say what was the primary language.

There was an English spoken edition which was shown in Canada by TV Ontario several times, until the early 1980s. Exact last date unknown but the station has confirmed this to me. No-one knows who owned/owns that, or who made it. In fact, it might even be fully lost in the severest sense of no copies remaining in existence on earth.
Yes, there are English subtitles, but that is not the same. There also was a TV movie version in English circulating, which was recorded off air from CBS, but that is extremely abridged. So those options don't really solve it.

I keep hoping that perhaps a teacher somewhere might have taped it to use in the classroom? Anyone?

Internet Media [fully lost] cat reel by drankdrankdrank on Instagram

Looking for a deleted Instagram reel from @drankdrankdrank. It featured a grey cat walking outdoors with grass and mountains in the background. The video was vertically squished, giving the cat a funny stretched appearance. The original audio was someone saying, “drop it like it’s h—,” with “hot” bleeped out, over background music. One of the top comments said something about “aura farming.” The account disappeared around July 21–22, and the reel and original audio vanished with it. As far as I know, this video is now completely lost. Does anyone have a screen recording, download, or repost of it anywhere?

Audio [Talk] Cant find the original Ngannou vs Gane Highlights video

I’m trying to locate a specific Ngannou vs. Gane highlights video that was around four minutes long and was most likely uploaded to YouTube.

The video used an uplifting and energetic song, possibly an instrumental track. When I tried to find it again, I could no longer locate the original version. Either the song was removed, muted, or replaced because of copyright, or the entire video was deleted or made private.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember the channel name, exact upload title, or URL. I have checked several Ngannou vs. Gane highlight videos, but none of them appear to be the version I remember.

My main goal is to find the original video or an archived/reuploaded copy of it, not just identify the song. Does anyone remember this upload or know where an older version might be archived?

Audio [fully lost] The Anthem of the People’s Party of Malaysia (Demi Rakyat)

Hello netizens of the internet.

I request for your help. While I was trying to compile the list of Malaysian political party anthem, I hit a brick wall when I tried to find the song for Parti Rakyat Malaysia.

All Wikipedia pages and websites regarding this party all list the song of the party as “Demi Rakyat”. However, because the party went extinct years ago, I suspect that it wasn’t archived properly.

Anyone from Malaysia, does anyone know where I can find anything about this song? I thank you for reading this far…

PS.: Do not be fooled by the Parti Rakyat Malaysia YouTube Channel. The song in one of the videos is actually the instrumental for the MPAJA song called Liberate Malaysia (Bebaskan Malaya).

Internet Media [Partially Lost] The Museum of Forgotten Art Supplies

If this is as lost as it appears to be, it’s pretty ironic! I just found out that there is an online museum of forgotten art supplies- but it appears to have been forgotten.

Apparently, designer Lou Brooks, who I just learned designed the iconic 1985 Monopoly Man (amongst many other things) was assembling an online directory of obscure or forgotten art supplies. It looks like it started on a blog (I originally found the blog post linked from a 2009 forum post), but expanded to its own site later on. Users would submit images and possibly text, and Brooks would upload them to the site with a description. Unfortunately, it appears that Brooks passed away in 2021. Soon after, the site began to display “Will be back soon…” and it doesn’t appear to have been updated in 4 years. From what I gather, every link now redirects to a page with this text.

When I checked the Internet Archive, it seems like a fair amount is missing from the site. It appears that many thumbnails are there, but then the text is missing. On some posts, the text is there but the thumbnail is missing. The archival seems to be pretty disjointed at best, with some links redirecting only to more recent broken pages, or unfinished earlier versions.

The crazy part, though, is that it was widely known. Brooks has a section about the site on his Wikipedia page, there are numerous articles about it (including Hyperallergic and Wired), and many other references online. There is a 4k+ member Facebook community, but it looks like it’s all spam ads from hacked accounts. Honestly, I really hope that I am misunderstanding the situation and it is more accessible than it appears!

If anyone else sees this and is interested or can find out how to access all the information on the site, I would love to see it. Outside of my personal affinity for obscure art supplies, it actually seems like a pretty interesting part of history.

Website: https://www.forgottenartsupplies.com
Latest semi-working site on the blog I could find: https://web.archive.org/web/20110423044818/http://www.drawger.com/show.php?show_id=32
Blog post I discovered this from: https://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2009/05/dead-tech-waxers.html?m=1

I might be posting this prematurely, but I just went down an analog graphic design rabbit hole via another reddit post I saw that discussed stat cameras… and it’s 3 am so my judgement might not be in the right place HAHA. Also, I am on my phone right now, so my difficulty could be an access issue from my side. Thank you for reading!

Television [Partially Lost] Looking for Kika & Bob Especially Season 2

I'm documenting the current preservation status of the Belgian animated series Kika & Bob, as much of Season 2 appears to be unavailable today despite evidence that it was produced and broadcast.

Kika & Bob is an animated children's adventure series created by Vincent Bal and Colette Bothof. The series follows Kika, a young girl, and Bob, a firefighter, who are blown away by a tornado while rescuing Kika's cat from a church tower in Waterloo, Belgium. They spend the series traveling around the world trying to return home while introducing viewers to different countries and cultures.

According to available sources, the series ran from 2007 to 2014 and consists of 52 episodes across two seasons. It aired on Ketnet and was distributed internationally. The existence of both seasons is documented by multiple sources, including the official website, IMDb, and the Dutch Wikipedia page.

Current preservation status

As part of researching the series, I have confirmed that Season 1 survives. Through a private collector, I was able to obtain a complete copy, meaning that season is no longer considered missing.

However, Season 2 appears to be a different story. Despite checking public archives, archived websites, and collector communities, I have not been able to find a complete surviving copy.

An additional complication is that Vincent Bal has uploaded some surviving Kika & Bob material to the Internet Archive, but these uploads do not appear to include Season 2. From information I've gathered, much of the original material was discarded over the years, making surviving broadcasts and private recordings potentially the only remaining sources.

Evidence that the series existed

Based on the currently available evidence, Season 2 appears to be partially or largely lost, while Season 1 has been preserved.

If anyone has additional documentation such as broadcast information, release details, archived promotional material, or information about surviving recordings it would help establish a more complete preservation history of the series.

Video Games [talk] Soon to be lost media: Mario Kart Tour

You may have less than 4 hours to play Piranha Plant Pipeline legally today. Mario Kart Tour for mobile shuts down September 29, 2026. Piranha Plant Pipeline is available by 11pm western time, then the courses change again.

This game is very controversial with its use of monetization/mobile bs structure. But the tracks and gameplay are still very well made. A majority of its tracks can be found on the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, however Piranha Plant Pipeline is EXCLUSIVE to Mario Kart Tour.

There are also several past tracks that seem to only be "remastered" on Tour including:

  • Bowser’s Castle 1/2/4 (SNES/GBA/3DS)
  • Cheep-Cheep Island (GBA)
  • Cheep Cheep Lagoon (3DS)
  • Choco Island 1-2 (SNES)
  • Daisy Hills (3DS)
  • Donut Plains 1-2 (SNES)
  • Ghost Valley 1-2 (SNES)
  • Koopa Troopa Beach (N64)
  • Lakeside Park (GBA)
  • Luigi Circuit (GBA)
  • Luigi’s Mansion (3DS)
  • Luigi Raceway (N64)
  • Mario Circuit (3DS)
  • Peach Circuit (GBA)
  • Vanilla Lake 1 (SNES)

While older courses may not sound too noteworthy, I believe these are the only iterations that appear in crisp HD or whatever resolution your phone is.

What's probably more noteworthy is all of Mario Kart Tour's courses also contain an R (Reverse), T (Trick), and r/T (Reverse/Trick) variations which completely change the way you race with ramps and other obstacles throughout the course. There are also Christmas, New Years, and Halloween variations of tracks.

In addition to all that, there are exclusive remix tracks including:

  • RMX Choco Island 1-2
  • RMX Donut Plains 1
  • RMX Ghost Valley 1
  • RMX Mario Circuit 1
  • RMX Rainbow Road 1-2
  • RMX Vanilla Lake 1

The good news is, I've already seen some mods out there that added these tracks to Mario Kart 8. But a 100% preservation effort, I haven't seen anything like that, especially on mobile.

I want to bring attention to the community because Dr. Mario World disappeared without preservation and is now lost media. Even if you don't think something is special, doesn't mean it's not worth preserving, especially in the right hands. Fans have made bad games good, and Mario Kart Tour is really just a case of greedy store front/random availability. The tracks are all mixed up for no reason, but hackers could probably fix this.

Some noteworthy exclusive characters include:

  • Ice Bro
  • Fire Bro
  • Dixie Kong
  • King Bob-omb
  • Poochy

And there's countless costume variations, karts, and gliders you can't find anywhere else. The game went hard with monetization.

I honestly have no idea how any preservation works or if it even can work with Mario Kart Tour's random track availability. But I'm doing my part know getting the word for the off chance game preservationists will do something Nintendo doesn't seem willing to do. Even though each new entry in the franchise brings back old tracks, the amount of exclusive variations Tour has means this version of the game is very endangered.

Youtube [fully lost] alternative/side channel to popular animation meme creator Birdie/damagedcoda6669

Hi. If you have been on animation or art spaces on the internet there is a high chance you have heard of the animation meme artist Birdie. He was known for having some alternative accounts, most are archived except for "Wendy the burrito tyronias ex wife and girlfriend" which is now entirely lost with zero uploads. We have a link but no videos have been archives so far. All the videos of at least a majority of them on the wendy the burrito channel were drawn in MS paint from what I can remember. The artist behind it is no longer active on the internet so we barely have any means of contact.
here is the channel link https://www.youtube.com/@wendytheburritotyroniasexw8463

Youtube [partially lost] a youtube channel called 101facts has disappeared

Hello everyone, the past few days I’ve been looking for a specific video by a YouTube channel called ‘101facts’ but I found out that the channel has been taken down.

I used to watch this channel about 9 years ago maybe and for some reason I wanted to go and watch one of their videos but I can’t find it anywhere. Their channel page is on the way back machine but to my knowledge none of their videos are. The specific video I’m looking for was either about IT or Stephen King.

I managed to find the guy who (I think) created the channel’s instagram so I commented on his latest post but so far I haven’t gotten anything back.

Some information about the YouTube Channel:
- Called his viewers ‘Motherfactors’
- Most popular video was probably his Harry Potter one (I remember watching it a few times and something I specifically remember from it was him making a “Hairy Pothead” joke in the intro)
- Kinda sounded like Minecraft YouTuber ‘StampyLongNose’ and I’m pretty sure he made a video about him

Any help would be appreciated, thank you

Music [Fully Lost] "Poison Candy" by Clown Fetus (2010s goth band)

This probably way too niche and obscure, but I remember attending a meeting for group called GHOULA (Ghost Hunters of Urban Los Angeles), who were enthusiasts and investigators of hauntings in LA.

I don't remember what year it was (sometime in the mid 2010s), but there a goth band there that evening called... Clown Fetus.

Normally I wouldn't listen to a band with that name, but I remember enjoying their music well enough. What I remember most is a song they did called "Poison Candy", which was inspired by that Halloween urban legend. My brother and my mom can back me up on this.

Thing is, I can't find anything about the band, at all. I've contacted the members of GHOULA, but they haven't posted anything online in years.

Anybody out there have ANY info on their music? Did they ever record anything? This might be a lost cause.

Films [partially lost] Larceny (1996) Christopher Nolan short film debut.

It was shown once at Cambridge Film Festival (exact date unknown, but was screened as part of this festival). It seems Nolan is not proud of this short and he's been trying to get it erased. "Multiple copies are known to still exist. In an email, Ivan Cornell confirmed he held onto a copy. Over Twitter DM, David Julyan also confirmed he owned a VHS copy of the short. Both refused to release it. Cambridge Film Festival may have a copy, but according to an email from the 1996 festival director, a search for the short was conducted a few years ago with no luck. UCL Film Society is confirmed to still possess a private copy in its archive. According to Jeremy Theobald, who lost his personal copy, Nolan still maintains tight control over the short film's rights, hence why it won't be released."

Television [fully lost] CBS Winter Olympic Coverage from Nagano, Japan in February 1998

I am working on a bit of a project for fun where I am trying to find media (like talk show episodes, celebrity golf tournaments, early TV shows) from Kyle Chandler's early career (mainly in the 90s but some in the early 2000s that seem to be elusive). On an archived fan site from the 1990s, I found a mention of Kyle Chandler being a celebrity correspondent or commentator or reporter for the 1998 Winter Olympics coverage on CBS, along with a few other celebrities from CBS programming. The website pretty much only had "commentator for the winter olympics" under a page of recent Kyle Chandler appearances. I asked ChatGPT to help find it and the only evidence that ChatGPT found was this magazine, that confirmed that he would be one of the celebrities involved: https://www.worldradiohistory.com/Archive-BC/BC-1998/BC-1998-02-16.pdf?utm It wasn't able to show me the article or ad, but just the name of the magazine that mentioned it. It would just be a fun find for my "archive" if anyone can find the video footage.

Other [talk] The Wrong Logos Project

With every episode of every TV show, you have the opening credits, the episode proper, the closing credits, and then 1-2 studio and/or distributor logos, right?

Many years ago, it came to my attention that the "remastered" Star Trek TNG and maybe 1 or 2 other shows have had their post-end-credits logos replaced. In the case of Star Trek TNG, for example, the original Paramount logo was replaced with some modern CGI CBS garbage.

Much more recently, I learned that this problem is FAR more pervasive than I suspected. Scrappy-Doo from '79 and the original Scooby-Doo from '69 now have "Hanna-Barberra: a Turner Company" (Turner didn't acquire HB until 1991) and "Warner Brothers: an AOL Time Warner Company" (AOL didn't merge with Time Warner until 2001) logos. MASH has been released on DVD multiple times; releases from after Disney bought Fox have the "20th Century Studios" (without the word "Fox") logo. Babylon 5 on DVD kept the broadcast logos and audio, but the Blu-Ray releases replaced the '90s Warner logo with the modern CGI Warner logo and got rid of the voiceover saying "Babylon 5 is produced by blah blah blah". Tons of shows from the '70s and '80s that were originally produced and/or distributed by Viacom or Paramount have had their Viacom and Paramount logos replaced with modern CBS crap. The Jeffersons? I have no idea what logo/s was/were originally there but it's a modern CGI Sony Pictures logo now.

I believe this creates an entirely new category of information for media preservationists and lost-media enthusiasts to keep track of: which shows originally had which studio and distributor logos/bumpers, as well as the bumpers/logos themselves.

Television [fully lost] Someone went crazy on live TV on a Turkish TV show called "Dokun Bana"

This program is a Turkish broadcast that was broadcast in 1999 and is on full live 24 hours a day. In this program, there is a concept such as a car and the last person to take his hand off wins the car. What caught my attention in this program was that when I was a kid, a contestant withdrew from the competition claiming to have seen a dead singer "Barış Manço" but at that time I saw that "Barış Manço" And maybe if we somehow find that record, And if some people see that singer, it would be like proving ghosts. I did a lot of research and there are people who say they saw this recording in only 3-4 blogs, but unlike me, they haven't seen it, but I think A child watches anything with focus and since it is a 24-hour broadcast, people watch it half-consciously. As for me, the first few minutes I watched it occurred and I saw it too and after I saw it The contestant withdrew within 10-15 seconds, so it would be good if you can find it, and I think this program was broadcast on "Show TV" and I am leaving the Turkish blog posts I found below.

Video Games [Fully Lost] "Fish Run Top Fun Race" - 2012 iOS Game by Evaldo Rossi (App ID: 577430489)

Hi everyone,

I am writing to request help finding a completely lost 2012 iOS mobile game titled "Fish Run Top Fun Race", developed by Evaldo Rossi (under Best Free Addicting Games and Apps for Fun).

This game was a huge part of my early mobile gaming memories back in 2012/2013. Beyond personal nostalgia, it represents a classic piece of early 32-bit iOS indie history that has completely vanished. Finding an ".IPA" file or footage would preserve a piece of mobile gaming history that briefly reached international popularity before being erased.

Here are some details & metadata about the game:

  • App Name: Fish Run Top Fun Race
  • App ID: 577430489
  • Bundle Identifier: com.BestFreeGamesforKids.Fish-Run-Top
  • Developer: Evaldo Rossi
  • Release Date: December 1, 2012
  • Platform: iOS (32-bit, iOS 4.3–10)
  • Gameplay: 2D runner/swimmer playing as "Gary Goldfish" dodging mines and escaping a Piranha Submarine.

Current Situation & Search Effort: The game is fully purged from Apple's servers. Before posting, I thoroughly searched Internet Archive, IPA repositories, YouTube, and legacy social media links, but no playable file, trailer, or gameplay video exists on the public web.

It is currently Fully Lost. If anyone has an old pre-2017 iTunes backup, an archived IPA collection, or a legacy device with this game installed, please let me know!

Television [Partially lost] My Parents Are Aliens - An overly long discussion on it's lost media status

TLDR: For the past four-five years the entire series has been accounted for on Daily Motion, but very recently a majority of episodes have been removed from the website, making the show lost media. The copyright holders are active, almost immediately taking down the one episode I had saved when I tried to reupload it. There is hope however, as a YouTube channel called Kids Telly, which is affiliated with ITV studios, has begun uploading episodes from the show in the highest quality available

My Parents Are Aliens (MPAA) was a British children's sitcom that aired between 1999-2006, running for 8 series. Produced by ITV and broadcast on their CITV slot (the children's programming block), the show was popular in the UK, gaining multiple awards and even Bafta nominations

In December 2025 I wanted to watch some of the old Christmas specials. I sailed the seven seas but could not find the treasure I was seeking, yet to my delight I was able to find the entire series on Daily Motion, in varying degrees of quality (everything from widescreen 720p to 4:3 240p). Not only did I end up watching the entire series, I enjoyed the show so much I wrote scripts for a series by series, episode by episode retrospective. This is in large part thanks to one individual, Lucy2000, who had uploaded the majority of the series onto Daily Motion herself, and created a playlist of all episodes

At the time I did not think to record or download any of the episodes except for one (it had a small moment where the Portuguese dub kicked in which I found funny), and now it looks like I won't be able to do so and my retrospective is on indefinite hold. I went to look at the playlist again and there are only 4 episodes uploaded by Lucy2000 left, the rest being deleted thanks to copyright strikes- insert it's so over meme here

I happened to have one episode from series 6 downloaded so went to reupload it on Daily Motion and almost immediately got a copyright strike, indicating the copyright holders are active

I have downloaded what I can of what's left of the show and was pleased to find series 8 has been uploaded to the Internet Archive in its entirety, plus series 1 is available on DVD and I already have one of the two DVDs released, so will work on preserving the first series once I get the second DVD

That still leaves series 2-7 though, a few episodes have managed to remain on Daily Motion and there are some uploads on Youtube as well, although a lot of the episodes on Youtube were uploaded when videos could only last 10 minutes so they’re split up into parts 1, 2 and 3, and are in glorious 144-240p

I had assumed that was it and MPAA would be lost for a long time, however while looking on Youtube I stumbled upon something which gives me a lot of hope. There is a pretty new channel called Kids Telly, affiliated with ITV studios, which has uploaded various CITV programmes from the 90s and 2000s. Their first upload was just 3 months ago, but in the last couple of months they’ve begun uploading MPAA episodes and they’re in 720p- insert we’re so back meme here

This is admittedly slow going, right now only episodes from series 7 and 8 are on the Kids Telly channel- which is kind of weird as when the show was streaming on Brit Box and ITV X premium, ITV’s paid for streaming service, they only had series 1-6, and nothing ITV related has acknowledged series 8 since roughly 2011 due to the unpopularity of that series (the majority of the cast were new and the main characters had their memory of the past 7 series removed, which did not go down well)- but we may end up getting the good ending with the series eventually uploaded in full to Youtube via Kids Telly in the highest quality possible

Maybe that’s cope, maybe they’ll all be deleted from Kids Telly one day, but if they are I’ve already downloaded all the episodes they have so far and will download them all as and when they’re uploaded so the series can be properly preserved and can be watched again
