Beginner Logo for Travel / Hotel Website

Post image
0 Upvotes

It took a shot at making a logo for my website. I tried to combine a pomegranate and a key as we cover mainly Southern European destinations. I was kinf of satisfied with it at first but now looking at this subreddit I hate it.

Should give up on the concept ? What am I missing? (I can dm my website if needed)

Edit: Tried to make some tweaking, but will work more on it with all the feedback I got

Question How do you come up with a logo idea?

I'd love to hear from people who've designed logos that shipped in real products.

What was your process?

Brand strategy first?

Sketches?

Moodboards?

Hundreds of iterations?

AI as a starting point?

Straight into Figma?

I'd love to learn how professionals actually approach it.

The logo belongs to my vtuber model, but in the future, I will use this in my channel's store.

It's a black hole with a star in the middle.

EThis is just a draft of what I plan to do, I'm afraid it might sound boring, but I'm also afraid it might be too much information.

How is this logo for a command line tool? Would this work for anything larger than just a user product, like a company for example?

Feedback Needed Logo Design For Brand

Trying to create a logo for my brand ESP Lifestyle. The name stands for Extra Sensory Perception. I want to create a brand that’s poker inspired, designed for strategists, thinkers, and those who get stuff done. At first the brand was taking a more spiritual vibe, but now I want to lean more into a sportswear type vibe, based on comfort and materials designed to move with you. I’ve came up with these 2 logos so far, I like the E with the chevron more so far. What do you think of these 2 designs? First 2 are new concepts, the final eye logo was old logo but need something less polarizing and mystical, hence why I’ve been tying to come up with a more standard geometric type mark since the brand is based on more minimalist designs I think I need a logo that’s more standard as to not take away or distract or be so polarizing as to the quality of the clothes. Completely open to any ideas at this point because I do think there is a niche to be met here. Thank you for any feedback

Discussion Finding first clients

I’m at the beginning on my design career and trying to find my first clients. Has anyone got any advice?

I’ve tried reaching out to people offering a free logo design etc but it’s just radio silence. I haven’t got social media which I imagine makes this 10x harder, I’ve reached out to local community centres asking if they can put up a poster I’ve designed saying what I do etc. I feel bad reaching out to companies/businesses etc asking if they would like a redesign as I believe their logo is rubbish (I put it nicer in the email)
What else can I try to get it moving? I don’t plan on charging much to be fair as I’m doing this to help rehabilitation from a brain injury and to make me feel useful again type of thing. I’ve taught myself everything over the last 9 months and I love doing it.

Feedback Needed help needed re gradient logo

Hi everyone, i have a client that i have been asked to work on the brand identity for, they have an ai generated logo (i know, i hate this too) but they are heart set on it and dont want to change the logo itself, despite my comments, what we are trying to figure out is the best colours to use to make it look good on both light and dark backgrounds but we've hit a bit of a roadblock, does anyone have any ideas?
Side note, i am not really liking using a gradient, it causes all sorts of issues like if you want it embroidered it can be tricky etc, but the client really wants to keep the gradient too, despite me telling them this and showing hem solid options.

I have included their brand colours they have sent me too, and for the record, i actually prefer the old colourway, but they want to include purple and brighter colours than what they had previously

Feedback Needed Illustrator plugin that selects and manipulates multiple handles

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m building a small Illustrator plugin for faster Bezier handle control.

It adds a tool that does custom handle selection, multi-select handle movement, Alt-based handle locking, arrow nudging, path preservation on anchor removal, a compact numeric panel and more. The kind of functionality Illustrator has been always lacking and why people rather design logos in type softwares instead. It's basically an expansion on Illustrator's Direct selection tool by implementing Glyph's handle management functions.

I’m looking for feedback from people who do logo/type/icon/vector cleanup work and spend a lot of time editing paths.

I built it because after trying Glyphs, I couldn't go back and not have a precise control over handles, something Illustrator should have implemented from the beginning for logo design.

Would this solve a real annoyance for you? Would you find it useful?

Feedback Needed [Revised] Piano Workshop for children logo, a book + piano concept. Which one is your favorite?

Post image
34 Upvotes

Hello! This is a follow up to my previous post. I read through all of your feedback, and it seems like there was a divide over whether the feet should be music notes. I also added two piano key eyes to make the logo feel friendlier and more recognizable.

For those who are wondering about the book, I decided to combine a book and a piano because this is a school where kids learn how to play the piano and study music history.

Please let me know what you think!

Made this logo from scratch as practice some time ago. Wasn't thinking on any theme in specific. What would you use this logo for? Any other feedback is also welcome.
