Don’t just mock the Spaniards when the British have their own quirky way of pronouncing that word too!

Best extinct language to pick up girls?
I’ve come to the conclusion that the biggest factor limiting my dating options is my inability to understand texts written prior to 500 AD.
I’ve had multiple dates end when the girl finds out I haven’t read the Baal cycle in the original Ugaritic or when my analysis of Hesiod’s Theogany falls apart due to my misunderstanding of the nuances within the original Ancient Greek that Evelyn-White’s translation didn’t properly convey.
I’ve narrowed my options down to the following:
Proto-Tibetan
Akkadian
French
Syriac
Phoenician
Linear B
I’m torn pretty evenly between these 6 options and could do with your help in deciding
Many thanks

Found a trick to mitigate social anxiety when learning a new language
It’s easy to feel a lot of anxiety when attempting to talk to someone in a language that is not your native one. But I found a solution recently: simply learn a language that is dead. Trust me, it works. 0 social anxiety to be had because there are 0 people to talk to. Soþlice!

Should I speak to the staff in the Turkish restaurant in Japan in Kurdish or Uzbek?
Obviously they'll understand me either way, but which one will make them more *bikkurishita*?

My new Fr*nch teacher: Mr. Abagnale
He started off as a substitute for Mrs. Glasser, but he seems okay. He's been lecturing the students, giving out homework, and he held a teacher-parent conference yesterday. He's also taking us on a field trip to a French bread factory in Trenton.
