In dash speaker installation. Returned the first set of “compatible” speakers. There was no way the covers would go back on. Modified these and so far the kickers have been great

Looking for advice if anyone has tried using a lectron carb on a kei truck i have a 92 suzuki carry with a carb that needs the oem carb replaced cause the auto choke doesn't work and looking for something if i take the truck to another elevation it wont be bothered i had one on a couple dirtbikes and worked great wondering if it would on one of these trucks

Ive heard a few horror stories about folks not being able to find a delivery service to pick up their vehicles in port before they start charging fees after 10 days. My broker recommended a local. Somewhat decent communication up until the vehicles arrival. Could not tell me when it would be picked up or the adjusted charges for "fuel and equipment" since it was first quoted back in early June. Im fed up because I want this thing in my driveway yesterday. Its been a long journey. Ive had a few vehicles delivered by 3rd party transport and it's seamless. Morale of the story is that it will be picked up tomorrow and here in 2 days. I recommend dealing with services that are in the same state and will contact you directly via phone call. Feel them out and ask for their website and reviews. Lots of scam companies out there so beware.

94’ Honda acty. I live about 450 miles from the nearest port, instead of delivery I am planning on driving it home, how can I ensure the best bet of getting home? My broker is getting a full inspection done in Japan before boarding and I’ll look things over at the port as well. What are some main things to look out for? It has 11k km and is very clean on the outside

I'm looking for advice on adding a block heater to my 91 DD51T Carry and hopefully solving my cold start issues. I live in the Midwest and our winters aren't usually super cold, my truck however does not like to start when it's below 35°F (2°C). I'm trying to figure it out before it gets cold and decides to strand me at work again.

Last year before it got cold I replaced the carburetor (the choke was sticking), starter, battery, and added one of those sticky pads to the oil pan. The truck still seemed to struggle.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Truck specs: DD51, F6A engine, 4 speed manual, tune up done about 4 months ago (plugs, wires, coil pack, distributor cap, new vacuum lines), timing -5° TDC, air/fuel ratio is a bit on the richer side, idle 950-1000rpm, valves lash was set to 0.10mm on a cold engine.

Super excited. Just found out I won this auction (through B-Pro), it’s a grade 4 with only 31k km. No AC, but that’s ok. Maybe I’ll retrofit one day if I can’t survive.

Expected to arrive in 8-9 weeks, lands in Vancouver, so I need to figure out how to get home in Ontario.

Open to suggestions if you know someone to transport. (B-pro says they have a contact and usually charges around $2100 hoping for cheaper alternatives if possible).

I was going to start some personal documentation for everything I'm learning about my 1999 Hijet and then figured it's not as useful if I don't make it available for others so enter a kei truck wiki page. I know there's a site out there already trying to be a wiki but it's 100% AI built and has no actual way to edit/contribute. This is set up with the same engine that runs wikipedia so there's no risk of someone's AI project dying.

Like all wikis it's completely free, you just need an account to edit, but I do have a donate button at the bottom of the main page to help with some hosting costs if you end up finding it useful.

The goal is to just get stuff in one (eventually searchable) spot since forums are great for discussion etc. but not the best for just a repository of info. Rolled the window down, popped off the crank (trim hook tool worked really well) and set the position towards the front. Really satisfying to drive now without that digging in the side of my knee! Do yourself a favor

I have my heart set on getting a kei truck, but I live on Colorado. My parents told me I need to figure out how to do insurance and registration before I actually buy one. I was thinking about hagerty for insurance, but im at a bit of a loss for registration. Any thoughts/advice?
