We've introduced a new rule, which means no ai slop of any kind in the sub. Photoshop, Clip Art, MS Paint, and hand-drawn doodles are a far better way to express yourself. And please credit where possible if you borrow images or art to get your point across.

Wishlist Wednesday I’ve been cooking up some DLC ideas

READ BEFORE YOU DOWNVOTE: I know I’m going to get blasted for putting Monolophosaurus in the Chaos Theory Pack. I really didn’t like doing it either, but you can’t really do much more with a film canon DLC (other than reselling Tarbosaurus, which would seem even more insulting, especially since it likely wouldn’t get a redesign this way)

INDIVIDUAL DESCRIPTIONS - CHAOS THEORY
- Monolophosaurus: doesn’t need one because it’s being resold (which, as I need to clarify, I don’t like, but the very concept of a Chaos Theory DLC forces my hand. This will be the only time I suggest such a move; all my future DLC ideas will have ZERO resold species)
- Becklespinax: large carnivore, likes live bait, can swim in deep water (but doesn’t require it)
- Anurognathus: a tiny flyer that works basically the same way as Jeholopterus
- Female skins: Majungasaurus 2022, Pachyrhinosaurus 2022, Suchomimus 2022 A, B, C, Becklespinax 2022 A and B, Monolophosaurus 2015, Bumpy
- Male skins: Geba, Smoothie
- Unisex skins: Atrociraptor 2022 A and B

INDIVIDUAL DESCRIPTIONS - FORESTS
- Lambeosaurus: gregarious, quadrupedal hadrosaur with a penchant for wetland and ground fiber… and a weird dislike for Corythosaurus
- Rhamphorhynchus: would have a downy covering; likes to eat fish, just like almost every other pterosaur, but can also thrive on insects. Only needs fish, though
- Shunosaurus: smaller, social sauropod that would actually be able to defend itself from predators. Likes ground leaf and plenty of cover

INDIVIDUAL DESCRIPTIONS - TRIASSIC
- Caviramus: likes to eat fish and insects, and requires both feeders in its enclosures
- Kannemeyeria: a substitute for the more popular Placerias, I added it so as to not oversaturate the Triassic roster with North American creatures. Otherwise, it’d be the same: a squat, defensive ground leaf grazer
- Plateosaurus: a bipedal, social animal, on the smaller size of the sauropodomorph roster, but still feeding on tall fiber
- Postosuchus: okay to live on its own; bipedal, able to hunt goats, but would prefer stationary meat feeders in an arid enclosure

Image credits, because none of them are mine:
- Anurognathus, Becklespinax - JP Fandom
- Monolophosaurus - JWE Fandom
- Lambeosaurus - TotalDino on Wikipedia
- Rhamphorhynchus - AMNH
- Shunosaurus - Smokeybjb on Wikipedia
- Bavarian - Home Network
- Plateosaurus - Facts.app
- Caviramus - Nix Illustration
- Postosuchus, Kannemeyeria - gonzaleztorresdaniel on DeviantArt

I’ve got more in my head for next Wednesday… or whenever I get back to it

Through a combination of Mecha’s WWD Audio Replacement Mod and WWD Big Al Cosmetic Mod , Big Al(or any other WWD Dino) is now able to populate your parks in JWE2. Before you ask, no I didn’t make any of the mods, and currently only the WWD Audio Replacement works for JWE3.

Meme A brighter future for our last base game Ceratopsid

Thanks to the latest update, we could see that Frontier hasn't forgotten how to create good dimorphism in ceratopsids, which gives our final member, Pentaceratops, a great opportunity to shine in the future

How do you think Penta's family unit will look??? I hope for a stunning new pattern and colors for the frill of the male and a baby without an overly developed frill

Discussion Hot take: many of the dinosaurs/marine-flying reptiles you guys suggest are somewhat repetitive

Before you crucify me, I just wanna say: I’d love to see every prehistoric animal done justice in a videogame, and some animals you people are suggesting would make for great additions. But many times, I find that some creature suggestions largely seem like the same creature, but slightly different.

Earlier, I stumbled upon a “horns and shields” pack idea, featuring a lot of ceratopsids that I wouldn’t mind seeing in the game. My issue with it is that we already have/will have a LOT of unique ceratopsians by the time Penta comes back, and the ceratopsians in the pack idea were largely very similar to chasmosaurus and styracosaurus. Now, in a perfect world, the pack idea would be feasible, but I feel like the amount of repetitive species in some of these ideas makes them very unlikely to ever happen, even if frontier were to become the most benevolent company ever.

Believe me, I want a lot of similar sauropods in the game as well. Giraffatitan and Sauroposeidon are ones that I would really like to see, but I’d have to choose just one for a pack idea, because two more tall brachiosaurid-esque creatures would limit the roster from including stuff like Maip, Supersaurus, Masiakasaurus, Shunosaurus, Xiphactinus, and a lot of other unique species. Anyway, that’s my opinion, and if you want to flame me in the comments, that’s fine. I’m just trying to be realistic here.

JWE3 Blueprint / Workshop I made a JP hatchery with a built-in containment area, and I love it! Certainly not my most complicated build since I just slapped this onto the base JP model, but if you’re like me and constantly release animals into your park instead of airlifting on accident, you’ll find it useful too, LOL.

If the Iggy male would have a TLC, I would vision it having a ridge on it's nose, in reference to the original Iguanodon reconstruction having a horn on it's nose.

Gameplay Features

New Campaign

Gatherers return to Sorna - Set shortly after The Lost World: Jurassic Park, join Ian Malcolm, Sarah Harding, and Nick Van Owen as they return to Isla Sorna so they can finish John Hammond's mission. Immunise the wild population against diseases, photograph behaviours, and ensure their long-term survival.

Curate three wild ecosystems on Isla Sorna and ensure no species goes extinct. Make sure enough wild herbivores can reproduce to prevent them from being hunted to extinction by hungry carnivores, whilst also allowing for enough carnivores to make up for losses to failed hunts against dangerous prey.

Maintain the massive aviary on Isla Sorna's river to prevent dangerous pterosaurs from escaping the island and potentially reaching the mainland.

New Mechanics

  1. Wild Dinosaurs - In the interest of non-interference, interactions with wild dinosaurs is limited, and they become uncomfortable when observed. Rather than being synthesised, wild dinosaurs will wander onto the playable space periodically.
  2. Non-gendered Skins - Non-standard skins like Ankylosaurus 2001 and Pyroraptor 2022 will be available for both genders.
  3. Juvenile Skins - Non-standard skins will be visible on juvenile dinosaurs.
  4. Synthesising Juveniles - Juvenile dinosaurs can be synthesised at hatcheries in sandbox, allowing specific skins, patterns, traits, and genders to be chosen.
  5. Embryonic Modification - Eggs in nests can be modified to have specific skins and traits.
  6. Aviary Nests Anywhere - Aviary nests can now be placed outside of the aviary to better foster wild ecosystems.
  7. Pack Hunting of Humans - Returning from Jurassic World Evolution 2, small carnivores are able to pack hunt humans. This affects Compsognathus, Moros intrepidus, and Procompsognathus.

New Buildings

  1. Wilderness Research Building Style - Tent based designs for structures such as the Response Facility and Control Centre.
  2. Aviary Walkway - Inspired by Jurassic Park III's bird cage, this is a structure that snaps on top of an aviary and allows walkways to be built inside. Available in Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, Europe (Malta), and InGen styles (InGen style attaches to the side rather than on top).
  3. Boat Tour - A deep water tour based on Jurassic Park III's iconic riverboat scene. This operates similarly to the Cretaceous Cruise.
  4. High Hide - A hidden viewing gallery that cannot be seen by wild dinosaurs and requires no pathway connection.

New Maps

  1. Isla Sorna Game Trail - An open plain where wild herbivores graze and carnivores hunt.
  2. Isla Sorna Redwood Forest - A dense forest full of breeding dinosaurs.
  3. Isla Sorna River - A long, winding river with a massive aviary dome full of pterosaurs.

New Dig Sites

  1. Bone Cabin Quarry, Wyoming, U.S.A
  2. Laguna Colorada Formation, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
  3. LĂśwenstein Formation, Baden-WĂźrttemberg, Germany
  4. Tar Heel/Coachman Formation, North Carolina, U.S.A
  5. Woodbury Formation, New Jersey, U.S.A
