Discussion About the Boa and Exhibit Animals
I see way too many people talking about that terrible snake model they showed recently (honestly, some of you are totally overreacting), and it’s literally the exact same old model btw. They just loaded the Boa into the new graphics engine to take a screenshot. It’s kinda obvious they can rework it after the launch. And it’s not just the Boa that's outdated— look at all the other returning exhibit animals. Man, they haven’t even touched the exhibit Animal Signs yet. The first two they showed were still using the old photos from the first game, and they only fixed it later.
Plus, there's something different about the habitat looks in that screenshot. Focusing on structuring the exhibits first, before even worrying about how the animals look—which is a completely logical strategy.
You guys can’t make up your minds if you want them to focus on exhibits, aquariums, aviaries, or different continent animals. It’s like everyone forgot how game dev actually works just because we’re watching this one happen live. There’s literally a massive 'Beta' warning on the screen. You’re losing your minds over a model that hasn't even been touched yet, from a category that isn't even the focus for us right now.
My boy works in game dev too, so I know how many details get changed at the very last minute.

Planet Zoo 2 Can we all just calm down and remember this game is still in development!
I love the discourse about Planet Zoo 2 and all of these cool ideas I’m getting for my future zoos and the communities hopes on what species and features have yet to be shown to us.
But I need to stress this, this game is still in development. I agree that the Boa Constrictor looks kinda bad, but we still 3 months until this games release, so this model may not be finished yet or it’s an earlier design that is being redesigned. We have a single photo of it and nothing else. Need I remind yall that both the Danube Newt and European Peacock showed old photos, before having the updated designs showed a few days later.
And I know the Zoopedia is wonky and some species have the wrong scientific names or the maps or facts are wrong but things are always changing, a mistake on the map is easily fixable.
I love this community, but many of us are being very negative about an unreleased game that is still in development. We should be critical about the game but going off at frontier for a single image or a distribution error should not be the forefront of the games discussion.
So let’s be grateful for all these new additions and features into this game and realize this is a game still in development.

Humour Please, friends, enlighten me
So, I've been playing for the last few weeks, so clearly I'm an expert now, and so now I have some Expert Level Questions for everyone. (Also none of this is expert stuff, I know, I'm being lighthearted)
Please note, I have only played career mode and I'm creeping up on having completed all of the DLC career modes on Medium, having already completed all of the standard ones.
I know Dominic Myers is as close as this game gets to a bad guy, and I know we're given a lot of reasons why, but really, is it just me, or is he getting a little bit of a worse-than-deserved rap? Maybe I'm just too generous with people, but having done his career mode games, I have to say that a, the man has a decorative flair that I could only wish to be able to replicate b, most of the animals that need habitat repair need a medium level of effort at most and c, at least he gives you plenty of money. He's also really excited when things are successful, and he clearly wants the animals happy (granted it's so that they bring in more guests and make him more money and look good but at least it's something?). I found all of his levels to be an absolute breeze. Aside from clearly being a shady af little guy, is he actually like, evil?
Does anyone else find it frustrating that staff have to walk on staff paths when they can clearly leave said paths to chase down escaped animals?
Does anyone else get really irritated that some buildings in the career areas can be edited while others can't? Also, am I the only player who didn't know I could stick staff buildings into those uneditable spaces until way too far into the game?
Am I missing something, or does the game not give you information on preferred water temperature for animals? Is the preferred water temperature just the same as on land?
Why will my lemurs just constantly become dehydrated because they refuse to stop playing the electric keyboard to move 3 feet to the left to drink from one of the 7 water fountains I've seen dropping directly beside them to try to save them from themselves?
Editing to add - does anyone else wish they could just create entire chunks of their zoo to be work zones, instead of choose each thing? Can I do this? Have I simply been avoiding work zones because I don't know how they work? I just want my million educators to all stay in their own area of the park and educate people in that area instead of moving into the same area and all working the same crowd.

Another creature reveal, another win for the Antelope fans. How we feeling about the Springbok's return?
I'm so happy to see the Springbok return, always saw it as an underrated animal, an underrated antelope at that. So glad my boy is returning for PZ2.

Work Zones - How do you use them?
After playing around with different work zone setups, I'm curious to know how everyone else uses them. Do you assign each habitat to a work zone so you have many zones and staff don't have to travel far? Do you set up a central staff area for every few habitats? Do you assign every staff member to a zone, or do you leave some unassigned? Really curious to see how everyone else uses the work zones and any benefits or tricks I might be missing.

This is NOT a Spotted Eagle Ray
The species listed in the Zoopedia is the Ocellated Eagle Ray (Aetobatus ocellatus) and the model appears to support this. However, it's referred to as a Spotted Eagle Ray, Aetobatus narinari. To make things more confusing, the Zoopedia map combines the ranges of both species, despite the description on the Zoopedia (and the region filter) correctly listing it as Pacific and Indian Oceans only.

Planet Zoo My Potentially Controversial DLC Ranking
A few things about me:
I'm an animal over scenery person. If the DLC has great animals and no scenery, I prefer it to weaker animals but good building pieces.
I tend to have animal families I prefer (Birds and Cats mostly).

Discussion Hopefully an option for Half Tunnels!
Hopefully we can get an option to turn our tunnels into half tunnels for unique viewing opportunities! I saw that tunnels seem to be resizable in terms of the width. But I didn't see anything about changing their height or making them half tunnels. I wouldn't mind waiting for something like this for a early free update, but it would be awesome to see this as an option for launch. With enough tweaking around with scenery pieces, I have no doubt I can create one, but having the option there would be better, and look cleaner.

Planet Zoo 2 More guest-animal interactions?
I have not kept up with the PZ2 development, so I am unsure if that has already been answered.
Many real life zoos have opened up an additional revenue stream with guided visitor-animal meetings. There are also walkable aviaries or open concept enclosures (see for example the kangoroo enclosure in the "Steve Irwin" zoo in Australia) and I also have often seen zoos where peacocks or other animals freely roam the zoo.
Will any of that be in PZ2?
