Tools Spray Gun Mechanic for Godot. Is it worth releasing on Itch.io?

Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I built a simple graffiti spray gun mechanic in Godot and I'm thinking about turning it into prototype mechanic for Itch.io.

Do you think something like this would be worth buying, or would you use it in your projects?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

I spent the last few weeks making a Game Boy Advance game using Butano for GBA Jam. It runs on real hardware and emulators such as mGBA. I'd really appreciate feedback!

Smokey Mike demo is now available on itch.io! Looking for feedback

Hi everyone!

I've just released the free demo of Smokey Mike, a pixel-art point-and-click adventure inspired by classics like Broken Sword, Runaway, and Kathy Rain.

The game follows Paco, an aspiring stand-up comedian trying to make it in Buenos Aires while juggling awkward gigs, strange characters, and plenty of bad decisions.

The demo includes:

  • Around 30–45 minutes of gameplay
  • Fully voiced dialogue (English & Spanish)
  • Traditional inventory puzzles

I'm especially looking for feedback on:

  • Puzzle design
  • Dialogue pacing
  • Overall first impressions

You can play it here:

Any thoughts, criticism, or bug reports would mean a lot. Thanks for checking it out!

I released my first browser game - Crown Harbor

Hi everyone!

I’ve just published the first public version of Crown Harbor, a free browser-based settlement builder.

You gather resources, construct buildings, develop production chains, trade goods and gradually expand your harbor settlement.

It’s still an early version, so I’d really appreciate feedback about the gameplay, balance, onboarding and any bugs you encounter.

Thanks for checking it out!

I made a tutorial on how to build a turn based combat in godot some years ago already and I posted it on itchio, so people can try the prototype on web and download a pdf with the tutorial.

I didnt pay much attention to it; I uploaded it for free and just, it is there for people to use it.

I realised that it actually have some movement, I didnt expect it to be that visited (5,5K views, 1,4K downloads), still, it only have 2 reviews (and one of them is bad).

I know it is not the best tutorial and it has some spelling errors (english is not my first language and I also have dislexia), but I just expected from a free tutorial that if so many people look at it, it would have more reviews, is this normal? Thanks.

Gamedev From nothing to a magical 2.5D forest

One of my favourite parts of developing Kalm – Part 2: The Forbidden Forest has been watching an idea gradually take shape.

The first image shows the initial top-down layout I created before any environment art was added. At this stage, I focus purely on player flow, exploration, and pacing, thinking about how the world should feel before worrying about how it looks.

For this area, I took inspiration from Kilika Woods in Final Fantasy X. Rather than recreating it, I wanted to capture the same sense of mystery and exploration that made it so memorable.

It’s easy to look at a finished environment and only see the final result, but every level starts as a rough sketch, a simple layout, and a lot of experimentation.
Looking back at these early screenshots reminds me how much iteration goes into even a single area of a game.

I’m really happy with how the Forbidden Forest turned out, and it’s exciting to finally share it as part of Kalm – Part 2.

You can try the game out for free here :

Please let me know what you think!!

Thanks for reading 🙂

Best payment method?

Post image
15 Upvotes

Hi everyone, well, I recently made my first sale on itch.io! But I ran into some problems and only found out about them today.

The person who bought my product didn't receive it directly and tried to purchase it more than 3 times. Both attempts resulted in an error. Until recently, I received an email from the website about this, and then I discovered that I had to manually accept the payment in the PayPal app to release it to the recipient.

All of this is because of the payment method I had set up, "direct you" as the default on my account.

Well, I issued refunds for both attempted purchases and accepted one. I don't know if the person still wants my product because of this issue...

And I wanted to know which of the two methods is good for receiving/processing payments going forward.

I just wanted to share my latest project - Drop Loot. It's a pixel-art falling-block dungeon crawler where you match the loot as it falls to fight monsters.

My day job is a graphic designer, and I've also created custom clock faces for smart watches for many years, but this is my first real game - would love to hear what you think!

You can try the demo here, currently working on the full release: https://johnreno.itch.io/droploot

I previously reported here that I had made a sale, and I received quite a bit of feedback. However, it has been four days since the sale, and the number of license keys hasn't decreased (although the quantity setting has decreased by one).

I'm not trying to rush anything at all. I'm just a little curious because I'm new to selling products.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar.

Free I turned Rock Paper Scissors into a first-person card game with changing room rules.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

I’m a solo developer, and I recently released RPS: The Escape.

It’s a short first-person card game built around Rock Paper Scissors. You start with a small hand of cards, earn money after each round, and choose new cards or useful items between sets.

The goal is to survive many rooms, with each room introducing a different challenge or rule change.

The game is available for free on Windows:

https://horusforgedev.itch.io/rps-the-escape

I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially on:

- Whether the card system is easy to understand

- Whether the different rooms feel varied enough

- The balance of cards, items and money

- Any confusing moments or bugs

Thanks for giving it a try!
