Hi all! I’ve been in love with this track for about 4 years. It’s old school deep-cut Chicago House with source material crackle and production tape hiss and a lot of lo-fi crunch, but retains so much soul and charm. Also love this basic 4 beat rhythmic loop that carries the song, as it’s got a little different shuffle than most Chicago or other deep house.

I’ve spun house music here and there for a long time, so I’m familiar with a lot of the classics, but my knowledge doesn’t go as deep as many of you here. I wish I could find more of this *particular* flavor. 🤌 any recommends would be greatly appreciated.

This is my latest progressive house track, I think that this time i did something great and I really want to receive some honest feedback. What do you sincerely like? What moves you? What do you think is wrong technically(mixing and mastering wise) and artistically (sound design, arrangement).

Are cue points when mixing house/garage really necessary? Surely you would know the songs your mixing and therefor know when the beat drops or when vocals come in, and even if the song is unknown to you can you tell by the waveforms when there is a breakdown and beat drop? Everyone talks about cue points but I’ve never used them
