So i was messaging this dude on grindr and he asked for my phone number, because i’m stupid i gave it to him and he immediately blocked me, his profile wasn’t blank so his information seemed legit but i am worried about the information he could possibly get from me with just my phone number, should i be worried about this or am i overthinking this entirely. I’m planning on locking myself in the apartment when i get home and playing it safe the next couple weeks.

There is no argument that is worth having on grindr. It's a hookup app. You aren't going to hook up with someone you're fighting with on grindr. If it's someone who you are mad is not responding to you, arguing with them is absolutely pathetic. You're basically begging for sex from someone who thinks you are disgusting.

If you are the person taking the bait and arguing with someone you think is disgusting, you're just feeding their pathetic insecurity and wasting time.

Talking on grindr is supposed to serve one purpose. Planning a hookup.

If someone doesn't respond to your face pic, there is no need to send a question mark. There's no question lingering in the ether that hasn't already been answered by his silence. He thinks you're fucking ugly and his penis will not work if that face is in his presence. This is really simple stuff guys. Please accept reality and keep things professional and efficient.

I have absolutely no idea who this is, I’ve never talked to him before, yet I woke up to this message on Grindr. All I really gave him was a couple paragraphs of words of encouragement and a pic full of details of the LGBTQ/Suicide Hotlines info. It was very unexpected and grim, I don’t know why a stranger chose to message me something this serious, but I just very much hope my words made some kind of positive impact to him as he never replied back to me even when he’s been active online. And all I can say otherwise is to please seek professional help if you struggle with your mental health to such a serious extent, and to speak out to those you love and trust about what you’ve been struggling with as they’d much rather hear about your problems than hear about your death. Please take care of each other within our community. It already can be very difficult and stressful as is with so much going on in the world.

Anybody else notice when they search different cities they all have profiles from Luca, Logan, Asher and some other profiles are consistently showing up? What gives? I assume these are all bot/fake profiles? Just wondering

As time goes on my hookups are more rare, but often come in pairs (at least I hope, since the last one was sorta meh)

I got a message from someone I was chatting with to see if I was interested in a party with multiple people, and they wanted to email me details. My suspicions were quickly up, so I sent my spam email that doesn’t have my real name attached to it. This whole thing rubs me the wrong way.

Now after reading it I am extremely suspicious but I am very new to this world, so I wanted to post it here to confirm. Certainly not opposed to verification, but everything about this screams scam to me

Does anyone else pretty much assume if the block button is available as opposed to the hide button they are bots or scammers? Im at the point I just block as I rarely see one thats close.

Ive been trying to create an account but when i do it says my account is banned. Ive tried multiple emails but no matter what i do it says “unable to create account” and this comes up. Ive never used Grindr before and only turned 18 this year in april. Ive been unable to get through to their support but i cant. Is there anything i can do or is it just time to give up.

Grindr is putting everything behind a paywall, charging users to do almost everything just to make the shareholders money. The only people grindr care about are the shareholders they're the only people whose voice's matter. We all know it, most of us are sick of it and wish it was a gay owned company that actually reflected the people who use it so why don't we make that a reality?

Why don't we all just buy what grindr stock we can afford and become the shareholders! Literally becoming part owners of the company. Then we could actually influence the CEO to make the changes we want and care about the issues we care about. We don't have to wish that grindr was gay owned, we can actually MAKE it gay owned, and there is nothing anyone can do to stop us!

I am buying grindr stock whenever I can afford it and if you're not happy with other people taking money and power out of our community I would encourage you to do the same!

Are we still not able to search our notes we've added to favorites? Or is there some dumb trick that I'm overlooking?
