Sale/East Sale
Can anyone tell me what it’s like to live in Sale? Moving there in December and worried I won’t find friends or employment.

Has anyone got any recommendations or reviews for Maine coon breeders in Victoria. Quite interested in either Stargon or rumpleteeza as a breeder but haven’t heard anything about either of them, TIA :)

I've been involved with this group for a while (including on their committee) and it's the best group of people I've had the pleasure to meet :)

I haven't been out in Traralgon in a red hot minute on a Friday night. But the other week a group of us decided to go out.
I've never seen Fridays so quiet in Traralgon. What's the go there?
The deck was shut, Crown shut early, Timeless had a few, same with Starbar. We ended up going home and finishing the night off in the shed around the potbelly.
I know it's winter, but seriously, where is everyone?

I’ll be moving to Sale in December as my husband is in the RAAF, I grew up in a small town so I know employment in smaller regional towns can but a bit hard,
Can anyone tell me how hard it can be to find fulltime employment? If it helps I currently work in community services and have for the last 10 years and have a fair bit of experience in disability and child protection.

Gday guys and girls. Looking to buy a bush block (either bare, or with a camping hut, or maybe even an established house) either in or adjacent to a state forest in Gippsland somewhere. Will be used as a base for camping/dirt bike riding/4x4 on weekends.
Open to any suggestions, let me know if you’ve seen anything good out there! Would prefer north of Princes Hwy from Gembrook all the way to Traralgon, but open to areas such as Mirboo North or whatever. No set budget.
Cheers!

Does anyone have any suggestions for meeting new people or being a bit more social around Gippsland?
I'm 34M, live in Traralgon, work full-time doing shift work, and have a young daughter. Because of my roster, it's hard to commit to clubs or sports that require weekly attendance.
Lately it feels like all I do is work, parent, sleep, and repeat, so I'd love to meet some new people, especially other parents. I enjoy being active, getting outdoors, books, sports, having a beer etc. However, I'm open to trying pretty much anything and I enjoy learning new things.
Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated!

Hello to those reading this. I moved here around the beginning of the year to be with my wife and I just miss having some friends. Let's hang out and play something. I'm in the traralgon area, I love board games or online stuff. We can play dnd, warhammer, hell let loose, bg3 or etc. Just looking for some friends in the same timezone.

If you need a few things from bunnings might be worth doing a click and collect for a free coffee!

I'm seeing a lot of cars with punctures over the last couple days. Southbound from Pakenham to Koo Wee Rip has some big ones. City bound South Gippsland highway between the 2 Koo Wee Rip exits have the usual ones too.
Be extra vigilant as they're only going to be more, and larger, as the rain continues.

Hello lovely people of Gippsland. We are trying to sell a couple of things, I do not have Facebook. My friend has put the stuff on market place, but no one seems too interested other than trying to get our items for free. I feel like no one uses gumtree any more.
We have an 8kg front loader ($80) washing machine and a 8kg top loader washing machine ($1000 ono, pretty new and fancy) , both work, mine is just sitting there cause I had to move and do not require it after moving in with someone else, and then we upgraded to a 10kg, hence the second one.
We also have a TV ($300 ono) and a fridge ($300 ono). I think the TV is 52 or 58 inches, but would have to check. The fridge is smallish, 120L I think, nothing fancy, its from when I was living on my own, it also works, it was new and only used for 8 months before I had to move.
If you happen to know anyone that might be interested please send a message for more details. We are in Traralgon, may be willing to deliver depending on location.
Thank you
Edit: to add prices.

Hello I’m looking to move from Latrobe Valley to Bairnsdale, just wondering how hard it is to get a rental there as I have no previous rental history?
Doesn’t have to be anything fancy at all, the only thing extra I’d be looking for is a shed or carport to park my work trailer in.
Thanks for any help

hi y’all,,, i’m here in gippsland for a placement along with two other people… and i was wondering if 1500+ on electricity bills are normal during this winter time?? we’ll only be staying in our accommodation for 3 weeks but we have to pay $130 (weekly) per head just for the electricity not including water and gas bills. i live near the city in melbourne and our bills and rent does not go up that high… and also, we share one big bedroom?? it’s absurd to say the least..
