Discussion Kandy Lemon Drop Melon
I should have known better than to buy this melon but the "Lemon notes" it was described to have really threw me off. It's just like a sour honeydew no citrus notes. Im fine with eating sour fruits but when combined with this melon flavor something in my body tells me the fruit is "off" and I can't get rid of that uneasy feeling. The honeydew flavor is delicious though.
I love trying new fruits and exploring my boundaries but if anyone is having doubts, just dont get this. Anyone else have the same experience as me?

Discussion What are some fruits for anxiety-relief in your opinion?
I always feel relaxed and relieved when I eat flavorful fruits like peaches, mangoes, and some asian plums.
And their gorgeous tastes and juicy texture make me feel really energized, less anxious and so happy.
By the way the peaches in these pictures were too ripe
and difficult to cut.So in the end,I put them in carbonated
water. Really satisfying.
What are your favorite fruits for anxiety?

Fruit ID Help Dad's mini pineapple
I walked into my Dad's house and was handed this little cutie. Is this a mini type of pineapple or is it just a fluke of nature?
My Dad has an insane amount of plants in the yard as he just cuts off the top and keeps growing more. The best are those pink pineapples but this one was also incredibly sweet

Discussion My mango smoothie bowl briefly forgot whether it was dessert or snack 🥭
I was making one of those smoothie bowls that make you feel productive for no reason.
Mango base. Nice toppings. Looking healthy.
Then I added crushed Achaari Masti Mad Angles.
Suddenly the bowl got a different personality.
Sweet mango first, then the achaari flavour shows up like an uninvited but entertaining guest.
The bowl looked confused but it was a nice comboo!

Fruit ID Help What is this yellow fruit?
Hello, I found this fruit yesterday after a foraging adventure. My neighbour has a huge garden that spills over into the forest in my backyard. He shares the fruit since he doesn't really pick them in nor knows what some of the fruits are. I found some java apples, which he nor I have never seen before😅.
I managed to ID the apples through an app, but I cant get a positive identification on this yellow fruit. I think the brown nut may be related to it? Any ideas? Thanks!

I turned the pear painting into prints & included it in the first issue of my mail club. Now I’m working on putting them all together for a sticker sheet in September’s issue

Discussion Tried black watermelon from Japan first time.
A few days ago I got a black watermelon at low price,
since watermelons are harvested very well this year.
Mine tasted much more sweeter than watermelons
I usually get.
The sweetness was mellow like honey, but super refreshing! And the flavor was more fruity than usual ones.
Texture was quite juicy and slightly harder, crunchy,
felt more dense while chewing flesh.
After eating it my thoughts were clear and felt great.
I also love its color contrast of red flesh and deep dark green skin.
By the way, what kind of watermelon do you love?
Please share your thoughts on comment section.

Discussion What's the best fruit smoothie combo that doesn't include dairy? Seems I've become lactose intolerant; rich chocolate milk was my go-to. Since smoothies can be rich, too, figured I'd try that; would just need a base that isn't dairy and fruit that pairs with it well.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Discussion Wild Raspberries in Northern Michigan
Raspberries along the 45th parallel in Michigan are incredibly productive this year. I filled a quart container in 10 minutes and took maybe 10 steps the entire time. Particularly juicy and large-- most were bigger than a dime!
Get on out there and pick, pick, pick!

Edibility / Problem Papaya with no seeds
Today I opened my papaya to find no seeds. Is this just a normal but rare thing, or are they specifically grown this way somehow?

Fruit ID Help Can someone please tell me the name of this melon?
The outside looked like a cantaloupe, webbing and all. But the inside was green and crispy like watermelon, not mealy like cantaloupe.
I think the seeds were white like a cantaloupe, but it's been years.
I bought this melon once at a Korean Market, and even that place has not had them since (that I've seen)
It's like a watermelon and a cantaloupe hybrid. Crispy and juicy, but green inside and out(cantaloupe outer/rind).
Thanks a ton!
