r/Fresno - This is the place to post if you are either looking for a job or have a job and you are looking for an employee.
We hope that putting all the job requests and offers in the same place monthly will help people who are looking for and offering jobs have an easier time sorting though the more recent requests/offers.

We are looking for someone to adopt this cat! Minnie is a sweet and playful shorthair calico with green eyes, around 10 months old now. When she is in the mood for play instead of cuddles, she loves to chase the laser pointer, and some of her favorite toys are toys she can "bunny-kick” like a silvervine stick or a ribbon-tipped fishing pole toy. Although Minnie was born outside to a feral mom, she was brought inside as soon as she was weaned and is fully socialized and accustomed to being around people, and is not used to going outdoors. She is very good about using the litterbox, is friendly and handleable. She loves routine and knows when to expect play or treats. Minnie has already been spayed and microchipped, and is current on her rabies and FVRCP vaccine. If you know someone looking for a new pet please share!

What are the good ones, and what places to avoid?

The proposed project would expand the City of Clovis Sphere of Influence (SOI) to include the approximately 952-acre project site, which is currently outside of the SOI boundary (SOI Expansion). The proposed project would also adopt a comprehensive Vista Ranch Master Plan (Master Plan) to guide development within approximately 507 acres of the project site, and the proposed project would implement the Vista Ranch Development (Vista Ranch Development), which would develop approximately 368 acres of the Master Plan Area with mixed uses over a build-out period of approximately 10 years. The SOI Expansion and Master Plan are analyzed at a program-level; however, the Vista Ranch Development is analyzed at the project-level. The Vista Ranch Development would construct a mixed-use development anticipated to provide up to 2,718 residential units, including single- and multi-family units at varying densities.

Drove by and saw too many cop cars (more than 15) ambulances and fire trucks does anyone know what’s going on

The city needs the organizers to submit the 15-page form to ensure the program doesn’t have any outstanding liability concerns.
The community program's organizers said they shouldn't have to pay the city money in order to continue exercising in the park. Fresnoland has the full story here

FAT = Fresno International Airport acronym. This is the airport’s WiFi name. Fat free huh? Hahaha that’s a good one. I refuse to believe it’s unintentional

I’m relocating to Fresno for a job and don’t have a car.
How reliable is the public transportation system for commuting?
Any insight from residents who ride the bus regularly or have before buying a car?

CORRECTION - THE PRESERVE****
Hello all! I know this is slightly outside of Fresno but I have already tried doing research here and online and cant seem to find much. And many of the people living up there are from fresno/clovis area.
My wife and I have glanced at a couple houses in the last weeks and stumbled upon The Preserve over by Lake Millerton Dam. The lot average size is 6000. Way more than the lot sizes we have seen in the clovis fresno area. Incentives are ticking up and they usually give sub current Interest rates. There are 3 builders up there, Deyoung, KHovnanian and Woodside. Has anyone heard anything positive or negative about Woodside homes or that community? I have only heard mix reviews that water can be an issue? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey everyone. Bought a single family home near Woodward Park. Knew going into the sale that the HVAC unit needed to be replaced. I know the HVAC unit is an investment, so I just want it done correctly. Price doesn't matter that much to me. Does anyone have recommendations for an HVAC company that services the area, preferably not a big sales driven company that will hound me to go with them.

I am currently in the market for a home on a budget of about 300-320k. I have found some nice homes in the Mayfair area (in the neighborhoods just East of Sams Deli) but am not too keen on the area. I understand its not as nice as other areas in Fresno but is it particularly bad? I grew up in the Modesto area so I am no stranger to some ghetto stuff. I am also working with a budget here. Just dont want to be in a horrible situation.
anyone know any good psychics that do tarot readings or palm readings? just got too many questions in my head and i’m sure there are plenty of psychics in fresno. lemme know pls :))

Am I the only one who actually cannot stand this dude and wishes they’d just fire him and just make a mix of the top 100 radio songs mixed with the top dad rock songs, basically all he does besides doing his best to copy “The Douche” from Parks and Rec.

My son is outgrowing his toddler bed so we're going to start looking around for a bed and maybe some other furniture. Other than the big box stores and Mor, are there any furniture stores that have decent children's selections for beds?

Does anyone know what and where the verified oldest buildings still standing in Fresno are? I imagine the Meux home or the home on the San Joaquin river trust may be oldest residential homes(if not let me know), but how about commercial or civic buildings? I imagine those must be somewhere in downtown

Literally decades ago when I used to four-wheel, I was able to get scrap diamond plate at some metal yard off of Jensen. Do you know if there’s any place like that still
