Hey everyone. Bought a single family home near Woodward Park. Knew going into the sale that the HVAC unit needed to be replaced. I know the HVAC unit is an investment, so I just want it done correctly. Price doesn't matter that much to me. Does anyone have recommendations for an HVAC company that services the area, preferably not a big sales driven company that will hound me to go with them.

I am currently in the market for a home on a budget of about 300-320k. I have found some nice homes in the Mayfair area (in the neighborhoods just East of Sams Deli) but am not too keen on the area. I understand its not as nice as other areas in Fresno but is it particularly bad? I grew up in the Modesto area so I am no stranger to some ghetto stuff. I am also working with a budget here. Just dont want to be in a horrible situation.

I’m relocating to Fresno for a job and don’t have a car.

How reliable is the public transportation system for commuting?

Any insight from residents who ride the bus regularly or have before buying a car?

Am I the only one who actually cannot stand this dude and wishes they’d just fire him and just make a mix of the top 100 radio songs mixed with the top dad rock songs, basically all he does besides doing his best to copy “The Douche” from Parks and Rec.

My son is outgrowing his toddler bed so we're going to start looking around for a bed and maybe some other furniture. Other than the big box stores and Mor, are there any furniture stores that have decent children's selections for beds?

Does anyone know what and where the verified oldest buildings still standing in Fresno are? I imagine the Meux home or the home on the San Joaquin river trust may be oldest residential homes(if not let me know), but how about commercial or civic buildings? I imagine those must be somewhere in downtown

My niece and her friend are visiting from out of town for her birthday and Id like to take them to some fun places/activites while they're here. Any recommendations on where to take them? Im not very good when it comes to entertaining youngins 😆

Hi! I currently live in San Jose. I’ve been here for 5 years and a half now. I’m originally from Japan. My boyfriend is originally from Fresno and he wants us to move there to be close to his family which is understandable.

I really really like the Bay Area. I’m scared if I move to Fresno, will I be happy there? People keep telling me I shouldn’t move there because there’s nothing there. I’ve been there 3 times. It’s just very different compared to the Bay Area.

But I love my boyfriend and we are thinking about marriage. I wanna be with him so I’m willing to move there. I’m not a big city girl, I like nature and good food. Sometimes I like to party. Btw, I have a remote job and I work from home all the time.

Do you think I’ll be happy over there?

Im teaching my sister to drive again, but its been a while anyone know any good spots to teach her. Empty parking lots? Shes not ready for traffic yet as shes jumping back into learning again.

I literally just made a post about pickleball, but I was also thinking about bowling, too. Anyone know of any active leagues or ones starting up? The closest lanes to me are at X Lanes by Fashion Fair, second closest is probably at Fresno State. I might be able to scrounge up money to go once a week for a while if anyone wants to accompany me.
