Just found in my old DSi but have absolutely no clue what it’s for.

So, I have an DSI XL locked that does not read my DSPico.
This is the only message I get, any thoughts?

I've been trying to use this flashcart by downloading all kind of kernel adn file from the internet. I've also followed many guide but none of them seems to work. after all the trying the only thing that shows is Menu ?

guys please help i bought this dsi it's not modded i thought i use r4 on it it's on firmware 1.4.5U anyway i put the correct files and the r4 shows em empty icon when launching i am asked to power off the ds what to do how can be able to use my r4 please help and i hate how twilight menu looks i just want to use the r4 but it's not reading the sd card files i used the correct files ofc for ysmenu but nothing..

I started the update to firmware/software version 0.2, but it got stuck on the update screen for several minutes with no progress. I force-restarted the device (power off then on), hoping it would resume or retry.

Instead, now it’s stuck on this screen (see screenshot attached):

It won’t go past this point no matter what I try. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a known fix — like a hard reset, recovery mode, or re-flashing the firmware via PC/SD card?

Specs/info that might help:
• Device: Superchis
• Update attempted: v0.2
• What I tried: force restart (power cycle)
• Current state: stuck on the screen in the screenshot, not responding to normal button presses

Any advice on how to recover this without bricking it further would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've recently bought this r4 card but some things that i've noticed is the weirdly placed year and the mentioned year.I've searched online for quite a bit and i wasn't able to find any version of this card with a 2026,only with 2025 or below and i was wondering if it's legit or if i got scammed.It hasn't arrived yet so i still have time to decide if i want to pick it up or not that's why I decided to make the post

I'm a big fan of the DSpico and kept wishing its launcher had a few library features from modern consoles, so I built them:

• Pico Launcher Enhanced* (drop-in replacement, stock cards keep working): favorites and completed marks (press / hold X), recently played, play-time stats, random game button, per-folder music, game deletion from the launcher. Everything upstream does is still there.
• PicoDex*: a web app that opens your SD card directly in the browser (nothing is uploaded anywhere — File System Access API, Chromium only). It scans for missing box art and fetches it from the libretro-thumbnails catalogs, imports ROMs via drag & drop, edits file associations and folder banners, and has a health check for macOS junk and orphaned saves.

I've seen tons of stuff that the dspico is the most well performing flashcart for the ds right now but is it worth it to get one despite having a R4 cart already? I think mine is using the ysmenu I think?

What do y'all recommend?

I don't know if this is this right place to post, but I'm trying to flash log 2 onto a bootleg pokemon cart. This process works for every other game I've tried aside from the Classic Nes series. I'm able to patch it to save using sram in gbata but when I put my rom in gba_auto_batteryless, I get this message: "Could not find any reference to the IRQ handler. Has the ROM already been patched?" The game runs but it can't save when I put it on my reproduction. I have 0 idea how to get this game working on my repro. If anybody has a fix, let me know.

So, i brought this dsi a few days ago and the console came with this r4 card, i tried 2 different sd card, formating with 3 different programs and i still got this screen. Anyone can help me with theses?

Hii in a few days I searched on the internet for this solution and I got that this card wanted a specific kernel and I downloaded the BL2CK kernel And It Give Me White Screen I Use 8 GB Storage And Some Of My Friend Tell Me to Use 2 GB SD Card Is this the solution!?

i feel like 32 or 64GB is overkill and will make it slower, however i don't have 4 or 8 or 16GB in home, so should i buy 8 or 16GB microSD card?

Ho comprato una Ds Pico su Amazon per il mio Ds Lite ma finora è stata una tragedia; sono andato su romsgames e retrostick, ho scaricato un po' di rom e non ne ha letta una; poi ho provato a formattare e reinstallare firmware, software e loader e non legge nulla, rimane completamente bianco. Il Ds non è moddato e con cartucce "classiche" non da problemi.

Mi sto snervando e sto pensando di comprare una r4; che mi dite?

Hi everyone,

I'm having a really strange issue with my R4 SDHC Revolution 2016 on a DS Lite, and I haven't been able to find anyone with the exact same problem.

The R4 itself works perfectly fine. It boots normally, I can play games for hours (Pokémon, TWEWY, Metroid, etc.), and my saves are fine. Nothing freezes while I'm actually playing.

The problem only happens AFTER I turn the DS off.

For example: - I play Pokémon and turn the DS off during a battle. - I play Metroid and turn the DS off while I'm moving around. - Basically, I power off while I'm actively playing instead of sitting in a menu.

The next time I turn on the DS: - The DS recognizes the R4 normally. - I select the R4. - It only shows "Loading..." - It never reaches the R4 menu (Games / Multimedia / Slot-2).

Here's the really weird part:

If I leave it alone for around 5 hours, it suddenly works again without me changing anything. Then I can play normally until the next time this happens.

Things I've noticed: - Games themselves never crash. - Saves don't seem corrupted. - It only affects the next boot of the R4. - It seems much more likely to happen if I power off while gameplay is active than if I power off while sitting in a menu. - I noticed it once or twice while the DS battery was low, but I'm not sure if that's related.

Extra info: - 32GB microSD with plenty of free space. - DS Lite always detects the R4 correctly. - This is an R4 SDHC Revolution 2016. - The issue started after one day when I quickly closed/opened the DS, powered it off immediately, and (unfortunately) shook the DS pretty hard out of frustration. Since then, the R4 has worked many times, so I'm not convinced the shaking physically broke it.

Has anyone ever seen something like this?

What's confusing me is that it doesn't stay broken. It only gets stuck on "Loading..." after certain shutdowns, and then several hours later it boots normally again.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hace unas semanas intenté usar el método ntrboot para revivir una 2ds. Ahora quiero volver a usar la r4 para ponerle los juegos pero no le hice el backup, por lo que no puedo usarla.

Necesito una ayuda para conseguir un backup para mí r4. Las que salen en el GitHub no me han servido.

I dont know where i should buy a DSpico from, i see many but they all seem like china garbage that wont work in 2 weeks.

I just got a DsPico and got everything set up, however, I'm unable to find a working biosdsi9.bin/rom file to add to my microsd card.

Could someone help me? I'm trying to run Pokemon Black.

Whatever firmware I seem to find doesn't do anything, just opens the Ds lite menu

Hi everyone.

I'm trying to run Game Boy Advance games on a Nintendo DS Lite using GBARunner2, but every game ends up on a black screen.

My setup is:

Console: Nintendo DS Lite

Flashcart: R4 SDHC Gold Pro 2026 (r4isdhc.com)

GBARunner2: GBARunner2_arm7dldi_ds.nds

BIOS: gba_bios.bin (16,384 bytes)

ROMs are clean .gba files (not zipped).

Both the BIOS and GBARunner2 are located in the root of the microSD.

GBARunner2 launches correctly, and I can browse my folders and see all my ROMs.

However, whenever I select any game (for example Pokémon Emerald), it starts loading and then both screens stay completely black.

I've tested multiple ROMs and they all behave the same way.

Does this particular R4 model require a specific GBARunner2 build, or is there a known compatibility issue with this flashcart?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a dumb question, but I really like DSpico and I have this question.
His menu is so so so so beautiful and I really want to have RTS one day.

What kind of Card would you gyus recommend me to buy for my 3DS?
I'd like to have a card rather than modding the console as I have this since my childhood and I want to keep it they way that it is. :)
Can I just buy any regular R4 Card on amazon or do I have to take other things into account?
