I haven't logged on in over a week and I'm debating about just quitting the game to protect the people I know ingame.
I logged on one day and I got a /tell from them. Admitting who they are and her wanting to make up with me. She is a terrible person and has been stalking me for a long time trying to date me again and attacking everybody she think is my girlfriend or getting too close to me. Now they know my new character all because I logged into my old character.
Shes messaging me on different characters from different accounts and she won't stop or go away. I'm extremely stressed because I can't play the game in peace and its weighting on me.
I hate whoever created this plugin. I contacted square enix and I hope something happens...if nothing happens I will have to stop playing because Im not willing to start over as another character and who knows how long until I get found out again...

Me and my partner have been steadily making progress in these duo-challenge alts. This was certainly inspired by the solo-only challenges out there (they're really cool!) but its a somewhat different experience as we have a lot more possibilities than being fully solo.
We're two lalafellin twin sisters who, with nothing better to do, have to save the world as many times as necessary so they can finally, hopefully, take the good nap they deserve.
Our objective is to beat MSQ on our own without NPC rewards from regular quests, avoid items from common currency vendors when possible and absolutely 0 help from any other player. We've also made it a rule to have to complete the tribes, deliveries and to go through the relics for each expansion as well. We prefer going without healer and try to complete duties on Minimum Item Level and No Echo when possible.
The result so far has been really interesting. We've just reached Stormblood, and almost every single fight so far (with the exception of a certain whale trial in Heavensward, which we had to unsync.) has been really, really rewarding to figure out and play synced. All fights take long (specially as double tank), but it also means you get to engage with the mechanics properly (and sometimes you find ways to break them.)
We've gained newfound appreciation for ARR and HW duties, and some of the ways you can cheese or tackle mechanics even as only 2 people. We've also gotten better at the game after playing this challenge for so long and we've noticed it in our mains as well. These characters are by far one of our coolest experience in this game.
Our latest struggle was Zurvan, part of the last relic progress needed for Heavensward, and I jokingly bet that if Saya clutched the clear I'd post about it on Reddit. I'm here, so you can bet it was a great clutch indeed.
We started posting recordings of our duty attempts (except the testing in our mains) right at the end of ARR, but our document still has a lot of notes about the duties we did before and our strategies for it. We've also made a music video we cleared ARR, and even if not the best, it's another thing that's really nice to share with people when they learn about the challenge and makes me happy to watch from time to time.
Enjoy!
Any questions we're more than happy to answer
Edit: Fixed Saya's link. Oopsie.

Meet Moonlight Esuna, a dignified rabbit lady scholar-doctor with a magical fox companion.
Esuna prides herself on being refined, graceful, and composed. She attends exactly zero parties each year and is far more likely to fall asleep in a library than be found at any social gathering.
This was a fun character to illustrate, and I really enjoyed capturing her calm, scholarly personality through her design, pose, and expression.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback! Thanks for taking a look. 🐇📚✨

My co-tank (and one of my best friends) really liked the mockup I made for one of my characters in the Supergiants Hades style and really wanted me to do one for her. It had been a while since the original drawing, but it was really fun trying to retrace my steps in the process.
The original piece was done as an art style study because I really admire the artist and the work that went into developing it. I was reading articles, watching videos, and just analyzing the official art to understand the process to make it what it was. I don’t think I did a 1:1 likeness cuz it’s got a lil me in there but having the opportunity to practice and do it again was honestly just a real treat.

For the level 63 trial, when the boss entombs one player inside one of three rocks then mixes them up, the correct rock will always be the last rock on the enmity list.
For the level 83 trial, the safe spot for the next 5 or something mechs will always be directly under the boss’s left hand that’s touching the arena (till the puddles start dropping).

Note: Template for post courtesy of u/YakFuji, copying for purposes of record keeping this week. Except for some editing to plug in information from this week's challenge, all credit should go to u/YakFuji.
It's a weekly event held at the Gold Saucer where you can earn in excess of 60,000 MGP (10,000 for taking part, 50,000 for scoring 80 or more... you can get more using FC or personal MGP buffs) a week just by equipping some glamours. After weekly reset; we get hints as to a set of glamours we need to wear which is then up for scoring on Friday. It's the same for everyone so even if you don't want to join in with the guessing game below; you can wait for the results and present your outfit and get some easy MGP. Current and previous results can also be found on this query thread.
Best guess is worked out by historical results (repeat results) or in the case of new clues, community effort
I will usually have the results post up upon Friday reset

I like the idea that you can unlock different VFX options for your characters, like making a Phoenix-Style Ninja or a Shiva-Style Warrior. With later additions, they could add certain VFXs related to certain characters in the franchise, like the Armiger-Style from Noctis, or red arcs of thunder from Lightning? They could get crazy with it, have a Moogle style, Cactuar style, Tonberry style???

Basically, I like big fish and I cannot lie so I instead try to convince others liking fishing is absolutely normal. And that big fishing is not going to ruin your life and sanity. Also, an excuse to talk about big fishing.
I felt a DoHDoL-shaped hole in my life once I had gotten all my Oizys relics, so inspired by the RathGames video where he took part in the 24h legendary marathon, I decided to start big fishing on a whim. The Beast of Brewer’s Beacon quest had been on my quest list for ages so I figured I could do it, then Feast of Famine to see if I liked this enough to continue, then work my way through as and when. It was supposed to be ‘free and easy’, but I unexpectedly really enjoyed it. Ended up getting The Final Fish (3/6/26) less than 2 months after I completed Beast of Brewer’s Beacon (13/4/26). And procrastinated about as long on writing this post.
I could accomplish this so quickly thanks to rng and the work of those who had fished before me: A Fisher’s Guide to Eorzea (A Fisher's Guide to Eorzea) compiled by Fruity Snacks from the efforts of the fishing community, Carbuncle Plushy’s tracker (FFX|V Fish Tracker App), various reddit posts and comments about their fishing experiences. Look to those who fished before to guide those who fish after. So, I decided to pay the favour forward.
How I approached big fishing
Firstly, the most important element to how long this takes is luck. I think I got really lucky finishing within 2 months. I did already have Zalera from a previous mogtomes event and The Salter from...not sure when (probably while doing ARR fisher quests??), but I doubt that would have added much to the time. This is more my approach to planning for The Final Fish instead of staring at a list of 289 fish and wondering where to go. Inventory management is also an issue (thank goodness for the dye consolidation update halfway through).
I also have a job where I cannot step away to fish at all during work and did not want to compromise sleep on working days because I need that sleep. Not to mention the rest of life that goes on and I am not cancelling to fish. Therefore, I wanted to plan my fishing such that I did as much as I could within the time I had available. It also worked well in reducing frustration because it spread out difficult fish over the entire duration while I still made progress on easier fish in between. I only made an exception to wake up on a weekday at 3am for Cinder Surprise because it was my last fish and the next window I could make it to was a month after.
u/rfandomization’s post (The Final Fish: what it's like in 7.1 : r/ffxiv) was what originally guided my approach to prioritisation of windows. I also used u/Anaximandar1’s post (My Big Fish Journey : r/ffxiv) that was linked within to further add onto it.
Top priority list:
1- Big 3: Ealad Skaan, Cinder Surprise, The Ruby Dragon
2- Fish with infrequent windows (potentially 1wk or longer)
3- Fish with infrequent windows (few days downtime or more) that typically take multiple tries to catch
These fish I pinned on the fish tracker always (until caught) and went for whenever I could.
I then went per expansion ARR->EW for bait inventory management reasons and prioritised among fish within the expansion:
4- Fish with downtime >2 days
5- Fish with a reputation for potentially requiring multiple windows or I found they took longer to get
6- Fish with time + weather conditions
7- Remaining fish (usually slot between more important windows, sometimes went for half a window only etc)
When I was left with maybe 10 fish or mostly waiting on rare/difficult fish within an expansion, I added the next expansion to the tracker because I enjoyed running from one window to another continuously. There is no need to do that if you prefer to take it slow. There will always be another window. You will get there eventually.
Now I get to talk about the actual experience of big fishing and I will do it through stats:
Fish that took the most windows
Everything else took 5 windows or less.
Most annoying fish
Also, somehow when I think of the Labyrinthos music I am immediately reminded of fishing at the hole for Hyphalosaurus (2W, 5 intuitions, 0S) and Circuit Tilapia (3W, 0S) and my heart rate increases.
Fish I got lucky on
Honorable mention to Frozen Regotoise, where I took so long to find the fishing hole I missed the entire window. Then when the next window came around, I caught it on the very first cast before even using surface slap. It classifies as both annoying and lucky I suppose.
Fish I enjoyed (unironically)
I really enjoyed the experience. I did not find myself wanting to quit at any point. It felt like any frustration would largely vanish once I caught the fish, especially if it is cute like Aquamaton. And whatever lingered was not enough to outweigh the fun I got from the experience overall. I would happily accompany someone to do it again (but probably on a less intense schedule). I also finally have motivation to continue MSQ so I can start big fishing in Dawntrial. And finally get the orange scrip gear to craft BiS for DoHDoL. The unending DoHDoL journey continues.
Hopefully this post was helpful or enjoyable for someone out there!

Me from a previous post. Wow. What an expansion!! I am very happy to be almost caught up. And the cadence of dungeons and trials in the post msq was amazing!
I don’t even know where to begin. It was all just incredible and honestly looking at my prediction…. it wasn’t bad it was just the first 33% of the expansion XD HAHAHA!!
Just to gush in no particular order.
It was pretty much everything I wanted. Emet Selch, Hythlodaeus and Venat were incredible. I love my grumpy husband. The Elpis quest chain (and Ultima Thule) being my favorite portion of the MSQ.<3
When Venat asked me if my journey had been good, if it had been worthwhile, I’m not gonna lie I cried. God and her sundering Eithyrs was so awesome. “Henceforth, he shall walk.” Such a hard line. The delivery was so freaking good.
My god. Ultima Thule. The music after Graha sacrificed himself was so good. AND THE SEGMENT WHERE WE HAVE TO WALK ALONE WITH THE ENDWALKER DEBUFF WAS SO GOOD.
The flower scene when Emet and Hythlodaeus make the flowers for Metion ;u; waaaaaaaa<3
I didn’t like Hermes as much as Emet, but his and Meteion’s story was very sad </3

It being so FFIV was so crazy and unexpected????? But as someone who loved IV it was an absolute treat!! Also when I met Zero I had never seen anything about this character, so I was like “ah lmao she will die to resolve conflict at pivotal moment” but uh??? She and Golbez are gonna start to slowly rebuild the 13th????? Which is crazy?? Good for them!! also her transformation from reaper to paladin was such an incredible nod to Cecil going from dark knight to Paladin in his respective game.
Rubicante is the goat.
Uh yeah that shit rocked.
————
Now I’m 2 quests away from losing my sprout and about to start DT… I’ve heard…. a lot of mixed things… Nonsense but also genuine fair criticism… Excited to see where I stand on it! :3

I'm an artist and I am wanting to brush up on my skills and figure out my process more. I would love to practice on some of your characters. Please feel free to send in pictures!!!

I've played 15, 16 and 7 remakes and loved all 4. I've never really played an MMO and am kind of against them, I like being able to do my own thing without caring about/needing others. Am I going to be able to play solo or will I have to team up with people? Planning to buy complete edition through the sale on the SE website
Edit: okay, okay, it's been like 5 minutes and I've gotten at least 12 yes notifications! I'll be downloading the free trial later today. Hoping this can pull me out of my gaming slump.

Based on the information presented in these quests, reflections of sundered Ascians can have their memories restored through the crystals.
They are Shadowbringers and Endwalkers quests, quoted below for easier referencing:
Hythlodaeus (Hythlodaeus Shade) : I speak of those crystals. They have constellations etched upon them, yes?
Hythlodaeus (Hythlodaeus Shade) : High in the heavens, those stars shine their guiding light down upon the lives below. Fitting symbols for the Convocation of Fourteen, would you not agree?
Hythlodaeus (Hythlodaeus Shade) : As you will have gathered, each crystal bears an account of the life of a member of the Convocation as remembered by the unsundered.
Hythlodaeus (Hythlodaeus Shade) : Lest you worry, they aren't concepts; they are far too incomplete to be so. But they suffice for imbuing memories within sundered souls, that they might be restored to their office.
Hythlodaeus (Hythlodaeus Shade) : Keep them. I am sure Emet-Selch wouldn't mind.
(Lv. 89) Her Children, One and All
Recurring though it was, I paid this dream little heed.
Amon: It was only when I was granted the seat—and memories—of Fandaniel that I knew these visions to be true.
Amon: They were the memories of Hermes, that he himself erased using the power of Kairos.
That introduces the first problem: with fourteen seats in the convocation, one being of Azem, and three being of unsundered Ascians, the ten remaining sundered have... one hundred and fourty reflections across the shards.
Up to that point in the story, those reflections don't mean anything really.
Even considering the rejoinings, and the thin possibility that the Ascians were successful in recruiting all of the reflections of the unsundered and keeping them unaffected by their respective calamity, by the time the Warrior of Light gets the crystals of the convocation in hand the only impact those reflections can implicate is a potential reenacting of their actions when going rogue, however they would be far less knowledgeable and powerful.. Unless they had an alternate method for memory backup.
Dawntrail introduces Preservation. Even though Calyx was vehemently opposed to copying memories ((Lv. 100) A Terminal Invitation, (Lv.100) In Fate's Footsteps), Preservation did fully develop the methods for memory duplication.
That happened before Krile was handed to Galuf, which happened before the Seventh Umbral Calamity. Which, in that case, would be safe to assume that the Ascians supervising the Ninth would have knowledge of Preservation's method (if not involved in it to some degree).
It is safe to assume that by that point the Ascians had, in their hands, an alternate method for the memory backup, no longer relying solely on the crystals of the convocation.
This is not conjecture. They were supervising the shard, they had people working with the Key, and those people also worked on memory duplication.
The question here is: is this fact going to cause story implications?
I do think it's a problem. A very damning storytelling problem.
Defeating the same enemies ten times over is not something I believe most are signing up for, in terms of story development.
Here are a few reasonable possibilities I can think of:
1 - The Ascians were not able to locate all of the reflections in time. They tried, but meddling directly with a shard of the Source too much could bring forth strong instabilities like the Flood of Darkness, and Elidibus' role in policing Ascian activities to not reach that outcome again would make the location of reflections a deliberately complicated process. In this scenario, the story elegantly isolates those factors with an existing reasoning.
2 - The Ascians were able to locate the reflections of the unsundered, successfully recruited them, and they had their memories backed up. The only way out of an outcome where the Warrior of Light has to fight dozens of Fandaniels, Nabriales, Mitrons, Igeyorhms and others is to find the memory backups and destroy them. Or send somebody to do the job, which could be a reasonable mission for Oblivion.
Ultimately, no matter how much I think about it, it boils down to: 'a mission to destroy the memory backups' or 'we fight several unsundereds a few times over again'.
Unless, for some reason, the Ascians did not create a backup plan in case they lost the crystals of the Convocation. However I must say that it would be an entirely different conversation, and would potentially raise many more other questions.

Just finished watching the new GITS. Now playing FFXIV. A thought occurred to me. Imagine if Moogles and Tachikomas got together. What shenanigans would ensue?
