July 2026 Active Player List
If you want to find new contacts in Fallen London you have come to the right place. Whether you need someone to get the constables off your back, someone to help in an investigation or just a friend to have dinner with, you're sure to find them here. If you're looking for something specific, you could just browse the information of people who have already posted and make them a contact and/or you could simply make a post of your own.
- Name
- Profile link
- What you are interested in
Additional information, like stats or a brief statement, if you're a PoSI, etc. would be welcome, if you like. Timezone + hours played could be helpful for those looking for someone active during the same time they are.
Question of the month: There are twelve "renown" factions (Bohemians, The Church, Constables, Criminals, The Docks, The Great Game, Hell, Revolutionaries, Rubbery Men, Society, Tomb-Colonies, Urchins); what would you add to that list?

What happens to those found guilty at the Evenlode?
One of the options in a criminal trial talks of someone being subjected to London law and New Newgate instead, so at least they'll have a chance at release in the future. What would have happened to him otherwise?

Best heist for notability grind?
I've been grinding notability in preparation of me hitting posi tier 2 via watchful, and heard that heists are great for notability gain and it's been going well so far, but is there any difference between the heists in terms of notability gain? I've been hitting the museum and the landlord so far

Lore So, what's the difference between Apocrypha and Parabola's unrealities?
What exactly is the difference between the Is-Not of Parabola and the Is-Not of Apocrypha? I'm having a spectacular time with Firmament thus far (about halfway through part 4) and a meeting with Summer has put me thinking on this.
My initial interpretation, from Hallow's Throat, was that Cthonosophy centers around what Once-Was or Could-Have-Been, but you can encounter both of those in Parabola via the Waswood. Similarly, it's not as though Glasswork is unable to affect the real world- the parlor trick in Helicon House springs to mind. Is it that Parabola always reflects an interpretation of what Is, while Apocrypha need not have any such grounding in reality?
I'm really enjoying settling into this pattern of sealing these breaches, but as a Silverer who takes RP seriously, I'm still figuring out how to square all this.

Game Mechanics Presently not in need of Discordant Missives.
Good day to all. After finally getting to the Hurlers I find myself not in need of Discordant Missives. I am not asking other people to send me one.
Having said that, I can provide Flame-Proof missives (or something else) not in exchange.

PSA DO NOT DO THE SHAPELING ARTS + MONSTROUS ANATOMY PLOT - IT IS BUGGED
I have done the 300 actions twice now, I assumed the first time was an aberration but if you attempt to extend the plot you get a confirmation and then it ends and it shows as unavailable until you complete another surgery plot! You are just throwing 300 actions down the drain till it gets fixed.

Here is a picture of my lack of plot. For all that helps.
I have been blasting through fate for 24 hours to get info on the plots for the bone post, which is bad but realistically it's wasting the same money as a night out clubbing and a taxi home. If you are free to play, 300 actions is over 2 days worth of agents you are wasting!

Idea: A Mithridacy-based accomplice in Hearts' Game
A lot of the other secondary skills have accomplices. The idea with this one is that they convince the target to poison themselves. So they manipulate the target to think that ingesting Certain Salts is good for the Constitution, etc.
One fun extra thing could be that one of the moves requires a certain minimum level of Counterplay: the accomplice convinces the target, who is aware of being in peril, to try an ill-advised antidote.

Question to those who takeRP seriously in FL
If you were to get to get to PoSI and choose to commit your character to a relationship before finishing all the making name stories, how would you deal with the obligatory dating in the empress' court in a name signed with flourish? (Presuming that your character is monogamous and loyal)
(This actually happened to me since I didn't really like doing the court stuff but I don't care too much about the RP part so I just finished it anyways)
Would you do it anyways? Would you divorce your partner first (and potentially remarry later)? Or would you just skip out on the entire "getting thrown out of court" locking yourself away from port carnelian, evolution, piracy, and much of the sea (and probably more content I haven't gotten to)?
(Presuming that

Ideal “ending” for a Fallen London end of service?
We all want Fallen London to stay around for a long time, and ideally should FailBetter ever decide to end development they’d create an offline version (as tricky as that would be) somehow.
But assuming the worst case scenario, it’s going offline and not coming back, how would you want things to wrap up? Full access to the exceptional stories? Infinite actions for everyone? Calendar to pick any time period you like for item hunting? 6th city event?
What’s your best case scenario for a game end?

Player Guide Antique Birds - Not the main bone post for the week(For the bonedex.)
Edit 2: I have added some recipes to use with 7 necks and 8 spines that do not require you to have access to endgame areas and the foresight to get things from the rat market 5 weeks ago!
Edit: Added some more recipes and discovered a bone market mechanic I was totally unaware of! See below.
When I said I would edit this weeks post I didn't realise it was one of the slacker posts that wasn't even written by me!
Here is the link to u/Sobrique 's post on antique birds. This post will start a little bare bones, pun always intended, but I will expand it into a fully detailed post over the course of the week. So check back.

Just as I was running low on amber and it's so rare you get to do this, here is a little teaser:
A Zailer with Particular Interests
Primary: Nodules of Warm Amber
Secondary: Knob of Scintillak
Freebie: 2.5 Echos of amber
In Amber Clad (Yeah, it's the ship from Halo. ;))
Ribcage with a Bouquet of 8 Spines - 1 Amalgamy, 2 Menace
1 Bright Brass Skull
7 Panoptical Skull - 2 Antiquity, each
2 Wings of a young terror bird - 1 Menace, 1 Antiquity, each
2 Jurassic Femurs - 1 Antiquity, each
1 Tomb Lion Tail - 1 antiquity
Declare a Bird
Sell to the Zailer
Frame Value: 811 echos
Primary Profit: 81 echos
Secondary: 19 Antiquity * 1(.5) Amalgamy = 28.5, rounded to 29 Knobs of Scintillak
29*2.5=72.5 echos of secondary, all profit
The ribcage has 13 slots add 3 for the ribcage, declaring a bird and selling and you have 16 actions.
9.75 EPA for assembly and sale (I even remembered to add in the 2.5 echo freebie for the first time in my life!)

Hmm, apparently 28.5 rounds down on this occasion. How weird. Primary profit was higher than I anticipated too. Well, bones are an art, not a science, I still have 85 Panoptical Skulls left, so expect to hear from me...
For you Stuvier Heads:
An Enthusiast of the Ancient World
Primary: Bessemer Steel Ingots (Convert to stuvier in the sous)
Secondary: Unprovenanced Artifact = Antiquity +1
Freebie: 0 Stingy %^*er
Who needs a carapace with 7 necks?!?
Skeleton with 7 necks
2 Bright Brass Skull (300 Shadowy to 100%)
5 Panoptical Skulls
2 Wings of a Terror Bird
Declare a Bird
Sell
Frame Value: 497.5 Echos
Primary Profit: 49.5 echos(ish)
Secondary Profit: 13 Unprovenaced Artifacts = 32.5 echos
9 slot frame so 12 actions.
9.11 EPA like a Porsche
That should be around 1095 steel or 10950 Stuvier, that's 1% of your carapace done...

ok, rounding hates me today, still, not bad. Added to this it is better:

Cheeky Exhauster:
An Investment Minded Diplomat
Primary: Memories of Light
Secondary: Tailfeather as useless as flame (it is scrippable)
Mammoth Ribcage
Sabre Toothed Skull
2 Wings of Terror Birds
2 Jurassic Femur
1 Plaster Tail bone

Tailfeathers are worth 2.5 echos or 5 scrip, so that is 120 in secondary. Ok, now I am actually really going to sleep, I just didn't want to leave people with TTH today out on a limb. Also, dayum! I was low on Memories of Light! Upconverting into candles for burgundy and side converting into Zee stories is pretty nice. Of course after making candles I go to Jericho and make Vash the Stampede style speeches on love and peace till the revolution is cancelled!
Little People
u/RedKing36 was kind to point out that I am obsessed with Panoptical skulls and I do not care for the common folk! Which, while true, is not something I want said in polite society! So while I wait for the gloomy guttersnipe to spot him, here are some recipes that do not involve skulls that you need to be endgame to aquire! (You may need a weasel of woe though, I'm a bone man, not a miracle worker!)
Skeleton with 7 necks
Note: This recipe is both a pain in the backside and requires you to pivot if things go wrong! You are aiming for 6 Antiquity and 3 Menace. Check your skeleton in the myself tab, type skeleton in the search box. It should tell you the current stats.
2 Bright Brass Skulls(You need 300 shadowy to sell 100%, if that is not you, drop one and add another sabre toothed to the next step)
Equip, THE WEASEL OF WOE!
The next part requires some explanation. With the weasel of woe equipped, you have a 10% chance to succeed in applying a Sabre Toothed Skull. If you succeed, it adds 1 antiquity and 1 menace. If you fail, it just adds 1 antiquity. You want to fail! To get to 6 antiquity there are two options. 5 sabre toothed skulls and 1 Wing of the young terror bird or 4 sabre toothed skulls and 1 doubled skull. There is however THE DANGER!
The danger is ending up with more than 3 menace before you are done. This is unlikely but in fallen london, unlikely sends you to the boatman! or at least gives you an inefficient bird skeleton.
If you are using a wing of a terror bird for the last point of antiquity, you cannot get to more than 3 Menace from the skulls and you will need to use a bat wing to bring it back down, after the wing of the terror bird.
If you are using a doubled skull to finish off your antiquity you can cope with up to 5 menace after the skulls. Use however many bat wings you need to get you to 3. Then if you still need any wings, add an albatross wing to finish.
Another thing to keep in mind! You do actually need to get enough menace! so if you are not using any wings of a terror bird, remove the woesel once the number of remaining sabre toothed skulls you have to add is equal to the amount of menace you need!
Can you see why we are exited about Panoptical Skulls!
Quick Breakdown for reference:
Sabre Toothed Skull 1 antiquity 1 Menace
on a fail: 1 antiquity
Doubled Skull 2 antiquity
on a fail: 1 antiquity
Bat wing -1 Menace
Wing of a young terror bird 1 Menace 1 Antiquity
Albatross Wing No relevant stats
If you are still reading, sell to An Author of Gothic Tales for 100% scrip saleable rewards
A much easier but pays in Amber option is:
Skeleton with 7 necks
2 bright brass skull
5 Sabre Toothed Skulls
1 Wing of a young terror bird
1 Albatross Wing
Sell to the Zailer with Particular Interests
If you want to modify these for a Ribcage with 8 spines there are a few things to note. 7 necks starts with 2 amalgamy and 1 menace. 8 Spines has the opposite, 2 menace and 1 amalgamy, so adjust your parts appropriately. 8 spines is also a lot more lenient with getting extra menace because you can not only use bat wings to reduce it back down, you have 2 spaces for legs, so if you need to remove more you can use a femur of a surface deer, which also removes 1 point of menace. You also have the luxury of a tail, which means that you have the option of adding a withered tentacle(as a tail, you need the 4 limbs to make a proper bird!), which removes one point of antiquity.
SCRIP!
Threading the needle to get 19*1, 9*2 or 6*3 for An Author of Gothic Tales is a pain in the backside with 8 skulls, I will do one but in the mean time. Amalgamy week adds a total of 5 scrip to the rewards from the tentacled servant, so just do it on any bird week!
Tentacled Servant
Primary and Secondary, who cares, it's pure scrip. Also, you can use it when you have bone market exhaustion.
Skeleton with 8 spines
2 Bright Brass Skulls
Any combination of 6 Doubled or Skulls in coral.
2 Albatross wings
2 helical thighs
1 withered tentacle as a tail.
Shoot, I used up all my helicals doing agent stuff in the amalgous humanoid week, entertain yourselves while I take a brief interlude to the Magistracy of the Evenlode!

I used skulls in coral, doubled are slightly more profitable but on the week this was written, the diplomat was skulls, so doubled skulls are more useful letting you sell Prismatic Frames there. 145th of a hellworm right there though. :)
Rats with wings!
That's enough about the big birds, those are easy to extract value from, true mastery is utilising the garbage birds, clean up all your rubbish and make money from the stuff you have lying around.
Nelson's Hat
Thorned Ribcage
Panoptical skull
2 wings of a terror bird
2 jurassic femur
1 plaster tail bone
declare a bird
sell to the author of gothic tales
86 frame value, 8.6 primary profit. 52.5 Secondary profit, 9 actions
6.8 EPA not bad for a pigeon!
(Red) Science
There are more trash recipes to come but I needed to perform some science first. On Amalgamy and menace bird weeks flourishing ribcages can be valuable, since you can exploit the two necks and take the limb total down to 4 with tentacles. However, each tentacle reduces the skeleton Antiquity by 1. I needed to work out if it remembered the penalty even if your Antiquity was 0 when the tentacle is added so I took at flourishing ribcage, added two skulls in coral, added 2 tentacles, then 2 wings of a terror bird. There was no shenanigans, as long as the tentacles are on before the Antiquity bones your antiquity is intact! I have a few ideas for this, they might all end up being rubbish EPA but the foundation mechanics work. :)
Tax Evasion Crow
Flourishing Ribcage
2 Bright Brass Skull
2 withered tentacles
2 wings of a terror bird
2 helical thighbones
1 tail of a tomb lion
Frame 161
6.5 * 3 rounds to 50 echos secondary so 66.1 echos profit, in 12 actions
5.5 EPA
You can also look at that another way, those tentacles and wings will never be liquidated without skeletons like this, probably the ribcage as well. Therefore, logically you can add their value to the profit. Doing so brings it to a 'actually our business is based in Luxembourg' 7.4 EPA!
edit, far to excitable, I forgot to say it sells to the zailer with particular interests.

Player Guide Bone Market Recipes 21/07/26 Antique Birds, Malacologist, Heady Diplomat, Skymarket in Zenith
Edit 6: I have added some recipes, to the bird post, to use with 7 necks and 8 spines that do not require you to have access to endgame areas and the foresight to get things from the rat market 5 weeks ago!
Edit 5: I have added some more recipes to the guide page. I had an idea I was not sure would work. I didn't know the bone market mechanic for it but I have tested it and it does work! Revolutionary recipes, that are also suitable for the duchess!
Edit 4: One of the new plots is bugged, you spend 300 actions and it vanishes, post about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/fallenlondon/comments/1v2jkd8/do_not_do_the_shapeling_arts_monstrous_anatomy/
Edit 3: Added Scrip, Stuvier, Amber and exhaust options to the new post, now sleep!
Edit 2: Just for fun:

Edit 1: removed the link to u/sobrique s guide and added one to my version, which only has 2 recipes for now but I will add to it as the week goes on. The new post has a link to the sobrique post but with Panoptical skulls being made good, the post needed rewritten.
Gladiolus and phalanges Bone Brothers and Scaphoid Sisters, the time has come when the Zoomania and Fashion of the bone market have changed. That intro was fun when I first added it to the template but after 20 weeks it's wearing a little thin, like your skeleton if you don't maintain muscle mass as you age!
One week I copied and pasted the wrong link and then didn't check Reddit again until the Monday evening! If that ever happens again, all of the possible weeks are available on the Bonedex so you can always find options there!
There have been a few commments about uses for Panoptical Skulls over the past few weeks… Today is the day you get to use them all! Birds are always fantastic, Antique birds are now outrageous! I have not slept in 72 hours and am having minor hallucinations, so I will have a nap and then update the linked post with options. It is not rocket science though, take bird, add panoptical skulls, reduce the menace to 1 with bat wings or deer legs, if needed, win...
Skulls diplomat is perfect, use doubled skulls to get your prismatic frames up to the needed 5.
Malacologist is much like a tentacle, weak, flacid and slighty gross.

Updates
I am mid sleep deprived hyperfocus so get strapped in for some reading… hopefully it is interesting/useful.
A few quality of life improvements but mainly new agents! So I spent fate in a deeply unjustified and profligate manner yesterday and this is what I learned:
3 Plots
Monstrous Anatomy + Dangerous
This rewards 2200 Curator's Gratitude
Shapeling Arts + Persuasive
Costs 3 nodules of warm amber and has 3 completion options:
the SA and MA one, is your combined stat, you do not need 7 of each, which is good because that is impossible, 12 was plenty for the first phase. Unfortunately I pressed to continue, it agreed, I had 100% success rate, then it vanished, I got no reward, my agent was booted back out and the plot no longer shows on my list! After doing another surgical plot the combined one reappeared so I have put the maximum possible, with existing items, 13. This plot is like the actuarial option with the spies. You can stay in as long as you can keep passing the checks. Unlike the infiltrating plot, there is no test to leave, so you can go when you are no comfortable you will pass the check to continue. It is a 300 action rotation, which is a lot nicer than 500 and will presumably have simelar modulo escalating reward values, and will also presumably be the clear best plot to always have running, like infiltration. So I guess Enhanced Exceptional people will be working around 2 plots again and everyone else will basically have 0. Just a chunky payout every now and again.
Low Zees Piracy
I did a lot of things in my 1000 actions to get plot data but one of the major ones was trying to test to see if I could work out the unterzee rare sucess rates. Since the wiki doesn't seem to know. Apparently there are a few things the wiki has wrong, based on my data tracking. Bear in mind I have severe ADHD so my data tracking is to be taken with a giant pinch of salt, apparently ADHD people need more salt that neurotypicals.
Incorrect Hunting Numbers
I noticed that, particularly cards that don't use advanced skills, like the rats and non troubling options like the light ship have the wrong numbers, they seem to be 15 or 17 rare CP in the snares, and similar in other zones.
I also realised if you are tracking the progress properly, it is a lot easier to target the zone you want your ship to arrive in. I was just zailing from the Khanate to London and back ferrying crates, and detouring for buried treasure. Normally all my ships seem to hit in home waters but almost none did this time.
I also had the tabernacle active, my friend told me that I had stopped too early and a story develops if you go back several times, unfortunately I have not had space in my plots to reactivate it. It really helps with the ZPA in home waters and the Khanate though and can be occasionally helpful in the snares. I was trying to use the peckish card to eat lumps in home waters as much as possible too as it has a flat 4.3 EPA in all zones and once you are peckish it has no further effect. My TTH was yesterday so the chestnuts card can sit there till Sunday if needed.
No Salvaging if it is a hate crime?
During my testing I also sunk 8 ships, possibly more, did I mention the ADHD, and for no sinking wrecks. This may be a case of a human not seeing random as random but I think it may be because I always choose polythreme boats. I figure if they are screaming it's a mercy. I am wondering if you cannot get wrecks from them. I also only got one in a substantial amount of hunting last week. You are occasionally forced to not choose polythreme, I normally go for hell, and that may be where I got my wreck last time. It is a small sample size so it might just be like my hellworm EPA. It is also possible there is some rule about not getting a wreck from the same faction twice in a row.
New Zailing Range
I only tracked this a little but I saw numbers from 56 to 60 for a fast zail. Since the target numbers are 160 or 80, these make slow zail cards more playable, which is a welcome change. I ride a zubmersible so the base speed is 55.
Best Boat still zub at endgame?
I did an analysis of the unique options for the 3 boats a long long time ago and amusingly the speedboat had the best results. However, the cards it improves are in zones you never zail in. The Zub was the clear choice as it made more bad cards good, where the Lux liner, which is what I had till FotZ last year, just makes good cards better. I might be getting turned around on that though, aside from the wreck cards I used almost none of the zub exclusive options and I was forced to play the Lux ones, sometimes with a second chance, fairly often. I have not really looked at it that closely, I did notice that one of the lux cards gives hedonism, which is rather lovely but I am not sure of the cap on it.
This is the dumb table from my spreadsheet:
I have a feeling that Zoom is better than that though, I could be wrong, it's just the cards it buffs are in the pillars and the stormbones and there is no reason to ever go there, aside from treasure in Port Cecil, or trafficking explosives in the seasonal event.
Hunting Crocks
I just did this a little as it is a bit boring but I worked out at a monster hunter with endgame gear I can down a crock in 5 actions 65% of the time and 6 actions in 34%. Considering the reward is 37 echos, that is pretty nice. There are two home waters zailing actions on top of that, so it will vary with your ZPA. I have 80% success rate on take a risk and those numbers are not using second chances.
Quick Data Read
So, shoddy data collection is possible but I recorded 93 actions with possible rare procs and noticed, of those, 19 were rare procs. It is an assumption that they all have the same proc rate and that the proc rate does not vary zone to zone but it looks like around 20%. The way Fallen London reports CP makes it a pain, as you need to keep a running record of your current levels of Troubled Waters, Hunting your Target and Nightmares(for tabernacle) or you cannot tell if it is a rare version or not. I was not sure how to record the 15s or 17s when I was expecting 16s or 18s as well, so I recorded them as non rare, unless it was otherwise obvious.
A Firkin Good Time
I realised yesterday that not only do I have enough Stuvier for my carapace, if I liquidated everything, I could buy my Firkin! I am not going to though, imagine having to build up your strong backed labour and honey stockpiles! It should just be a month or two at most though, as soon as it is selling everything replacable and not just selling everything. :)

Question Suggestions on what to do
Hello friends,
I'm currently a Tier 1 PoSI, slowly approaching Tier 2, my stats are around 155-170 non modified. I have maxed out most of the special attributes, except those that need access to the railway. Currently working on the Shapeling Arts grind in my lab.
I've zailed everywhere I can (except for the Iron Republic, I unlocked it but I heard it's not really worth it going there at this point) and done mostly everything I can on every island (except for the Khanate because I don't have Cabinet Noir because Railway). I also haven't explored Irem too much, if that's something worth doing, I'm not sure...
I'm nearing the end of my Light Fingers ambition. Without spoiling anything, I'm at that stage where I have to wait a few irl days for someone to grow.
I've pretty much completed every story in London, unless I missed something obvious. Most fun I've had so far was with Evolution and the Detective stories. I only have one non-Fate Detective story left to do.
I still have *some* stuff left to do, but I fear it's slowly running out. Once I complete my ambition, grind shapeling arts and do the last Detective Story, I feel like I'll be stuck, without even being close to unlocking the Railway.
So I'm looking for tips. What other things can I do? I'm not really looking forward to spending my next London weeks sorounded by peers in the Parliament of Spiders haha.
Thank you all in advance for your tips!

Announcement Agents: Bones and Biologies
failbettergames.comThe new Agents and Plots focused on Shapeling Arts and the Monstrous Anatomy have been released!
Given how little Shapeling Arts equipment there is, I'm curious about how useful these new plots are going to end up being. Perhaps it's a sign that there's more equipment to come?

Typo?
I think It finally happened, I found a typo.
If it isn’t I’m not really sure how this sentence makes sense at least. I assume it’s supposed to say “this is”but it Might just be slang? (Or I’m just imagining a treachery of grammar)

Player Guide Rat Market Grinds July 24-26
Welcome, savoury neighbours. This week, we have three (3) (III) demands. New this week, we have: Ruinous demand, buying Mortifications of a Great Power, Dreadful Surmises, and Distillations of Retribution. Departing this week, we have: Intricate demand, buying Crackling Devices and Unlawful Devices; Calculating Demand, buying Vital Intelligence, paired Queen/Epaulette Mates, and Corresponding Sounders.
Disclaimers:
- Some grinds may involve sourcing other materials, like Esteem of the Guild to charter a barge at Jericho Locks, Backstory for a Balmoral Cover Identity, or items to burn in Law-Forging. I will leave that to you, because there are too many options and they're too contingent on your own progress.
- All action counts are minimums, assuming endgame stats. If you do not have endgame stats, it may take longer.
My recommended grinds up front: * LB Industries (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/L._B._Industries_(Guide)) for your choice of 4th City Echoes or Crackling Devices, as well as stat training without menaces. * Moonlit Revenge for a Distillation of Retribution and other loot for other weeks. * Law-Forging (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Law-Furnace_(Guide)) for Crackling Devices. * Moulin Expeditions (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Moulin_Expeditions_(Guide)) to the Upper Layer, to get Unlawful Devices plus Hinterland Prosperity to be cashed out in Tracklayer's City. * Tracklayer's City (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_City_of_the_Tracklayers_(Guide)); you can cash out Hinterland Prosperity for Vital Intelligence, or getting Airag to sell in the Khanate to buy Crackling Devices is one of the more efficient money-making methods available. * Khaganian Intrigue (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Khaganian_Intrigue_(Guide)) for Mortifications of a Great Power, Crackling Devices, Vital Intelligence, Corresponding Sounders, and Paired Mates. * For variety's sake: Risen Burgundy (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Risen_Burgundy_(Guide)) for Crackling Devices and Mortifications of a Great Power; The Stacks (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_Stacks_(Guide)) for Crackling Devices; calling in Favours at Jericho Locks for Unlawful Devices; the Parabolan Chessboard (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_Chessboard_(Guide)) finishing Paired Mates.
Cheap options, without leaving London:
- LB Industries (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/L._B._Industries_(Guide)) can provide 4th City Echoes, which are always sellable at the Rat Market, for 5+ actions each (11+ actions for 2 Echoes). This also comes with no menaces, making it a good way to level up stats.
- Crackling Devices can be had from LB Industries (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/L._B._Industries_(Guide)) for 23+ actions.
- Crackling Devices can be had from Law-Forging (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Law-Furnace_(Guide)) for 6250 Actus Reus, which takes 16+ actions without burning items.
- The new Secrets of Hearth and Home Intelligencier Agent Plot can give 2-3 of various goods depending on your current lodging; Storm-Threnodies if you have a Suite at the Royal Beth, Uncanny Incunabula if you're in a Spire-Emporium of the Bazaar, or Unlawful Devices from a Sanctum at the Brass Embassy.
- Vital Intelligence can be obtained from the University, by Hunting Bees in Old Newgate (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Hunting_Bees_in_Old_Newgate_(Guide)), for 6+ actions each.
- Vital Intelligence can also be gotten by making a Heist (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/On_a_Heist_(Guide)) against the Circumspect Envoy's Townhouse, stealing either the scrolls about Vesture or the book on the Rosers, and delivering them to London's Ambassador. The Vesture scrolls are a better deal, since they give 2 Intelligence, but you may need the Presbyterate Passphrases or Favor in High Places you get from the Rosers book.
- Vital Intelligence is a reward for some Professional Activities (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Professional_Activities_(Guide)#Rewards); this is not very efficient or available to every T3 profession, but it stays within London.
- Mortification of a Great Power can be had for 18 Exploits in Hearts' Game (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Hearts%27_Game_(Guide)).
- Mortification of a Great Power can be obtained from the Sunken Embassy (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_Sunken_Embassy_(Guide)) for 18+ actions.
- Dreadful Surmise can be obtained from the University Laboratory (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/University_Laboratory_(Guide)) for 2700 research by studying the Prelapsarian history of the Red Science and concluding it by translating the alphabet of hungers, reading the streets, or simply publishing your findings.
Better options afield:
Mortification of a Great Power
- Khaganian Intrigues (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Khaganian_Intrigue_(Guide)); 1 Mortification is the reward for recruiting an Aristocrat, Naval Officer, or Soldier, which takes 15 actions. However, who is available to recruit depends on Airs of the Khanate, so you might want to either cycle Airs or engage in other intrigues.
- The Burgundian Beneficence 10-action carousel in Risen Burgundy (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Risen_Burgundy_(Guide)). Beware that this depends on card availability, and conflicts with the Against Time and Kings carousel you can use to get other goods.
- Barristering at the Evenlode (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Barristering_at_Evenlode_(Guide)) for the Gondoliers; costs 20 Preserved Surface Blooms, gives 1 Mortification per 6-action grind, plus other rewards if you make the final Mithridacy check, as well as Making Waves if you choose to "Grandstand!".
- Ending a Second City Vengeance campaign in Parabolan War (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Parabolan_War_(Guide)) by Enforcing your Demands can get you 3; I can't recommend this as a grind, but it is a neat activity.
- Law-Hunting in the Enclave of Hell (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Law-Hunting_(Guide)) for a Causal Law gives 1 Mortification of a Greater Power, plus an Identity Uncovered.
Dreadful Surmise
- Making an advanced Cover Identity (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Cover_Identities_(Guide)) in your Balmoral Cabinet Noir and selling it to the Nonspecific Academic.
Distillation of Retribution
- Possible from milking your Hellworm (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Examine_its_contents_27), but a 1 in 33 chance.
- Alchemy at Station VIII (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Alchemy_at_Station_VIII_(Guide)), with some 'Exhilaration from Achieving Justice', which costs 6 Bazaar Permits, 6 Blackmail Material, 6 Comprehensive Bribes, 5 Legal Documents, and 1 Parabolan Orange-Apple. This can easily synergize with other grinds, as in Moonlit Revenge, but there are too many options for me to give specific directions.
Vital Intelligence
- Tracklayer's City (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_City_of_the_Tracklayers_(Guide)#Cashing_Out_Hinterland_Prosperity) if you've completed the GHR; spend 1050 Hinterland Prosperity on the card "Imports and Exports" to get 1 Vital Intelligence. The price is reduced by Hinterland Efficiency, and is further reduced by 50 if the TLC is outside Balmoral, so at minimum this costs 700 HP. This synergizes conveniently with other Hinterlands activities that give HP in addition to the reward, such as Barristering at the Evenlode or Moulin Expeditions.
- Deciphering mail (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Deciphering_(Guide)) in Balmoral with a Cabinet Noir; has a 40% chance of being Blackmail Material instead, though.
- Khaganian Intrigue (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Khaganian_Intrigue_(Guide)); collecting the Intercepted Cablegrams you need for intrigues also provides 1 Vital Intelligence, and some opportunities for intrigue once you have 20 Strength of Your Network give 1-6 VI per 12-action intrigue.
Corresponding Sounder
- Khaganian Intrigue (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Khaganian_Intrigue_(Guide)); can only be obtained through a 77-action intrigue. This can be accelerated by up to 30 actions if you have the correct items for your Intrigue setup, but that is not reliable or cost-efficient.
Paired Mates
- The Chessboard (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_Chessboard_(Guide)) is the only really reliable source for Mates; everything else relies on favours, cards, or chance. Use other methods, then finish pairs here.
- Khaganian Intrigue (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Khaganian_Intrigue_(Guide)); Tapping a Telegraph Cable gives either a Queen or an Epaulette Mate in addition to the Cablegrams and Vital Intelligence.
- Assemble a dossier (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Assemble_a_dossier) at the conclusion of Machinations of the Masters gives 1 Epaulette Mate, 1 Vital Intelligence, and 1 Blackmail Material. Only available if you chose No Gods, No Masters.
- Calling in 4 Great Game Favours at Jericho Locks (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Call_in_Favours_at_Jericho_Locks) gives 1 Queen Mate as well as 2 Vienna Openings.
Unlawful Devices
- Expeditions into the Moulin Wastes to the Upper Layer (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Moulin_Expeditions_(Guide)), 1 per expedition. Depending on how far you choose to go, this may take 20 actions per Device.
- With some luck, you can get up to 4 from the High Sancta (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_High_Sancta_(Guide)). This is restricted to once per Time, the Healer, and the options available for you to pick from are randomly selected, so it's a poor grind for anything in particular, but it's still quite profitable.
- Calling in 4 Revolutionary Favours at Jericho Locks (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Call_in_Favours_at_Jericho_Locks) gets 2 Unlawful Devices, plus 2 Bombazine Scraps.
Crackling Devices
- 1 per run to The Stacks (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_Stacks_(Guide)) after The Book of Proper Speech. The Ratwork Mechanisms you also get can be used or sold in Risen Burgundy or Queeneater's Castle.
- 1 from Against Time and Kings carousel in Risen Burgundy (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Risen_Burgundy_(Guide)). Beware that this depends on card availability, and conflicts with the Burgundian Beneficence carousel you can use to get other items.
- Khaganian Intrigue (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/Khaganian_Intrigue_(Guide)); 1 from recruiting a Repentant Thief, from commissioning a Crackling Device for 60 Khaganian Coinage and 3000 Nevercold Brass, or from buying one at Midnight Market for 130 Khaganian Coinage.
- This synergizes with the Bone Market because Carved Balls of Stygian Ivory from the Author of Gothic Tales can be sold at the Midnight Market, and the Trifling Diplomat pays for skeletons in Khaganian Coinage.

What are my fellow extremely end game people working towards right now?
I'm feeling a little lost in terms of gameplay at the moment; I've done the usual stuff, got a worm, got an ubergoat, built and unlocked everything that I think exists, managed my Noman tattoo this year.
I'm half heartedly working up to a worm saddle, and I am finding the new uni content fun for a bit, but I'd like a bigger goal.
If you're super end game, what are you working towards? Are there some fun lesser known vanity goals? I don't seem to spend that much time in zenith etc so anything substantial up there may be a new thing for me.

Question How would you like your character's Story to end?
We're reaching an official end of the story of Fallen London, so I've found myself in a curious mood.
If you had full creative control over the narrative, how would you have your character's story end?
Would you even meet your end? Would your character persist into the Sixth City?
How do you dream this play shall end?
EDIT: I'm so sorry for scaring y'all. "An end in firmament." Not an end entirely. Holy molly I feel silly!
