Hello r/EWU community!
I am a PhD student at the University of Washington, and I’m reaching out to our sister institutions in the Inland Northwest for some help with my doctoral research. I am conducting an official study on how EV drivers respond to wildfire evacuations specifically in Central and Eastern Washington.
Since EWU is a cornerstone of the Spokane and Cheney communities, your insights (and those of your families in the region) are incredibly valuable. We want to ensure that state-level infrastructure planning accurately reflects the needs of drivers across the Inland NW, not just the I-5 corridor.
Who should take this?
- Primary or seasonal residents in: Asotin, Grant, Benton, Spokane, Stevens, Douglas, Lincoln, Ferry, Skamania, Yakima, Kittitas, Okanogan, Chelan, or Klickitat counties.
- You must drive a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).
The Details:
- ⏱ Time: ~25 minutes.
- 🎁 Reward: Enter a drawing for one of 14 gift cards (ten $20 cards and four $50 cards).
- 📅 Deadline: May 31, 2026.
