I was also wondering if it Will still be playable Even with the bits off the base ? I’m not a player but it’s still useful to know

I'm surely not the best player out there, but why is everybody so thrilled about this detachment?

Sustained hits 1 is good but you easily get it in Pearless Bladesman or even in Coterie. The Critical at 5+ are huge, but we don't have that many units with sustained hits already apart from the combo Lord K + Noise Marines.

So what am I missing? Is it because the Daemonettes are so good?

Hello I need some advice or ideas for a base.
After I’ve settled, finally, for a scheme.(doing a mix of fletchers from TT and my own) I need some ideas for basing.

The detachment that ONLY works if you KILL units, has Purge swapped with Priority.

Purge had the second worst Win Rate anyway, in case you didn't know: just look here.

Yes it was the most picked, but from the data and just by playing a few matches it's clear that Purge is in no way "broken", what truly is broken is something like Necrons with Take and Hold on 3 WHOLE DETACHMENTS.

Take and Hold is the strongest and simplest force disposition, and it's shown by it having the highest Win Rate of all. And on something like Necrons with their near unkillable blobs is insane. But that doesn't get punished, instead Coterie does. The detachment which doesn't even work if you don't kill stuff.

EDIT: I am reading everyone's feedback, and I gotta say there are some interesting points. I guess my main gripe was a sinergy and flavour thing. I said from the beginning that Purge is not the strongest disposition in any way, though.

I was going through the datasheets for the Combat Patrol because I know there are difference from regular 40k and I noticed that the range options either dont exist or are incorrectly displayed

Lord Exultant - not even a close combat bolt pistol. No range options

Infractors - no Range Weapons listed but shows pistol available for close combat in melee

Flawless Blades - nothing wrong here, typical bolt pistol is listed under Ranged Wrapons

I am hoping this is just a mistake with the roll-out of the new edition. Otherwise the shooting phase for this Combat Patrol is even weaker than I expected

Did some "veteran" noise marines with a little more blessings from slaanesh. Still need a 6th to finish the squad, but these were a lot of fun painting.

So I just bought the new hedonites spearhead so currently thats all the demons I own. From where I'm at is this a viable list and where should I focus on expanding for a better carnival list?

Went to my LGS for my bday and they had a Sigvald as well as an old demon prince with one wing missing on the used shelf. So for 80 bucks I got both these models.

I was wondering what paints to use for this specific noise marines head, what did you guys do with this noise marine when i've seen pictures it almost seems like his head is all golden or that they used a very dark skin tone for it.

I would prefer to keep the noise marines and Fulgrim (even though he’s not that great).

Glad i only need one for kill team tho, he was the hatdest one yet.

I was doing some list building and found myself in a spot where I couldn't take any meaningful enhancements while still being left with 60 points. In this case I was using CotP and Frenzied Host and I got to thinking it might be interesting to throw him a unit of Tormentors. I plan on running two units with one meant to sticky my home so not having infiltrators doesn't hurt as much. Giving him all the stacking strength and AP buffs seems interesting, and his rules offer some utility of debatable usefulness. Currently I have an enhancement worth 25 points so I am wondering if it's more worth it to drop the Tears of the Phoenix just so I can afford another unit, probably spawn or maybe a rhino. His damage profile seems like it does have potential (mainly with the detachment buffs) but they suffer from being swingy with d6 attacks AND d3 damage. Still, chances are in melee he is going to be swinging at strength 8, AP 3. At 4 attacks and d3 damage it isn't the best, but he is our cheapest unit at this point so maybe that's alright.

I think the Sorcerer likely needs rule changes which might come in a slate but I imagine won't actually come until we get a new book for 11th. In the meantime he is dirt cheap and can make a unit of Tormentors a tiny bit more pesky. I might give it at try myself just to see, hopefully he doesn't disappoint too bad. What do other people think about him? Is it more worth it to readjust my list to try to work in something better?

I just took the plunge into EC with an exceptionally good deal on a Lords of Excess box, and will probably pick up the combat patrol soon-ish afterwards.

Curious where people think I should go next, once all that's sorted. I definitely want to pick up Fulgrim, but those two boxes plus the Primarch leave me with ~400 points to spare. Curious how I should round out those points: I've heard the Defiler is in an insanely good spot rn, but not sure if another big point model on top of Fulgrim and the Demon Prince is the right choice (I'm also not the biggest fan of the sculpt tbh). I'm tempted to grab 2 extra flawless blades squads to round them out to the same number of noise marines, but not sure if I should also be bringing transports/vehicles as well.

Any recommendations for what I should look for for the last ~400 points of this list?

So I have has very mixed results with my Emperor's Children in the last few local leagues I've been in, mainly because, at the moment, I am limited to mostly infantry. While EC do very well in melee, I keep going against players with so much artillery, I just get wiped eventually. I hold my own as best I can, my last game was against Death Guard, running 2 haulers, 3 blight drones, a Defiler, two terminator squads and a bit else, and ended with 72 to 89. not hateful. But I'm hoping maybe with some tips, I can find more optimal ways to play. That last one was with Spectacle of Slaughter and Mercurial Host.

At my disposal, I have a Winged Daemon Prince, a Ground Daemon Prince, 1 Daemon Prince magnetized to be either. I have Lucius, 9 flawless Blades, 3x6 Noise Marine squads, 3 Kaco Lords, 3 Lord Exultant, enough infantry to run 3x5 Infractors squads and 3x5 Tormentor squads, and 2 Chaos Spawn.

I also have the option in my league to proxy units from my Custodes Army, namely 3 Rhinos, 1 Landraider, and my Canis Rex and a Chaos Knight Proxy.

The league I'm currently in has Orks, GSC, Tau, 2xDeath Guard, Militarum, Necrons, Tyranids, and Votann, all of them tend to lean into their Vehicle heavy lists.

Any advice on good detachment combos for my army, good statagies to run with the units I have, or general advice.
