So Howling Plate previously let your unit get +1 strength to ranged attacks, this has now changed to +1 AP, and when you combine that with Frenzied Host you can get S5 ap-1 bolters with precision when you advance/fall back (plus the other ranged weapons in the unit will also get the AP).

As much as this could be a side grade I'm feeling like this is quite the decent upgrade. Targeting a marine detachment and getting to put theirbleader on a 4+ save feels very nice and a decent way to take out their annoying leaders.

I still don't know if I'd want to dedicate a LE in this way but as you generally kill your targets with the LE anyway it may be worth attaching him to a large Tormentor unit to snipe out characters before charging in?

The detachment that ONLY works if you KILL units, has Purge swapped with Priority.

Purge had the second worst Win Rate anyway, in case you didn't know: just look here.

Yes it was the most picked, but from the data and just by playing a few matches it's clear that Purge is in no way "broken", what truly is broken is something like Necrons with Take and Hold on 3 WHOLE DETACHMENTS.

Take and Hold is the strongest and simplest force disposition, and it's shown by it having the highest Win Rate of all. And on something like Necrons with their near unkillable blobs is insane. But that doesn't get punished, instead Coterie does. The detachment which doesn't even work if you don't kill stuff.

EDIT: I am reading everyone's feedback, and I gotta say there are some interesting points. I guess my main gripe was a sinergy and flavour thing. I said from the beginning that Purge is not the strongest disposition in any way, though.

I do not understand why I would want a 1" increased movement? What the hell are they thinking? Why would they remove the ability to attach them???

Edit: You can attach in app with the enhancement. It's missing from faction pack and app and is likely a bug... False alarm I guess

Hey guys, just wondering what do you think the fate of the 3rd legion will be when/if 40k ends? Im curious!

I know that in 10th that was a thing but for 11th you have to be base to base to engage in order to fight but I was wondering if the rule about this still brings the possibility of fighting through walls or has this not been a problem.

I’ve always wanted to collect them but have always been put off because everyone says that chaos sucks at painting because of trim so how do they compare to the other chaos factions?

I really want to get some EC noise marines or slaanesh daemons but the bright pinks arnt exactly my style so I'm curious what are your favorites

I'm also looking for I could use more red rather than typical green/blue that most use but normally it doesn't look good with pinks or purples ;<

Got a murderwing and I’m still debating between doing my EC scheme or making them NL/bleeding eyes.

I’m probably going to do a bit of Slaanesh influence anyways. However I am still extremely conflicted. I’m leaning towards EC as I don’t have the paints for NLs nor a scheme yet.

Pros: Can run around and sit on objectives

Cons: I find the often get blown to pieces quite quickly

So I noticed this morning Fulgrim now has the "Mobile" keyword, which I think allows him to move horizontally through terrain. I'm sure there's some nuance to this, so I wanted to see why would we use sinuous breach for 0 command points instead of just moving through the walls now?

Does the mobile keyword instead make Fulgrim a viable take in non-CotP lists?

I can't wait to storm in across the map like a bladed warhead turn 1 on the first thing that displease me.

Unpopular opinion: i always played Fulgrim since the beginning of the EC (but never posted it) and i always loved his rules. Yes, they may be not so great compared to the other primarchs but damn, when he gets in melee (and he gets) he straight up tear apart even multiple targets! I don't play competitive, but even in the few tournaments i played this man did his job!

Did some "veteran" noise marines with a little more blessings from slaanesh. Still need a 6th to finish the squad, but these were a lot of fun painting.
