There are many authoritarian Muslim states that brutally repress women, Gays, religious & ethnic minorities. Some such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Gulf States have even codified discrimination against non-Muslims. Does the DSA and other Socialist groups speak out against these regimes? And if not, why not? Do they call for sanctions against these nations and support anti-regime liberation movements?

Recently saw that United Nations issued a letter denouncing NYC's 24 hour working days for home care women workers. so what's the deal with the NYC-DSA leadership scratching 99% of the No More 24 resolution... Seems to be a no brainer human rights abuse in the aftermath of neoliberal government flirting with the private sector (insurance companies), at the expense of elderly women of color ofc. Is this why DSA remains white to this day?

The reason i mentioned milton friedman is because i was a libertarian for like 10 years, and i loved watching all those videos about libertarianism, i learned a lot about libertarian economics, but now that im on the left i cant find much videos to learn about left wing economics

Man the establishment is really pissed at our momentum and progress huh?

Came across this in a comics sub and thought others here would appreciate

I understand that Congress has lost much of its governing power to the Executive and Judicial branches, and I support empowering it once again, but I'm not really sure if I'm interpreting this correctly? Does the DSA support Parliamentary Supremacy? For the executive, I assume the interpretation is to reform to parliamentarianism or a semi-presidential system, but for the judiciary, do they want to get rid of Judicial Review? I can't really say I see the benefits of that, even though I can acknowledge it has caused some problems in our polarized court. Why not just try to create a more independent court, like how South Africa chooses its justices? Why just switch out tyranny in one branch for another? Even if the court "gets it wrong" you could still implement a Notwithstanding clause to empower Congress, like how the Canadian Charter works (though perhaps more limits could be imposed than there are in Canada), but I don't really see the benefits of going all the way parliamentary supremacy?

If someone can tell me the benefits of a system like that, or if that's actually not what the DSA means at all, please let me know.
