We were staving but had fish on us and heard a heli crash so I went to loot it and asked if he could make a fire in the woods mind be hes new but stillll😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I've never posted here before and I'm still new to the game. Anyway I just got through looting a town and realized I was running back towards the coast. I started looking around in that area, then I look back at the town I looted and it had a red glare over it. I started recording even after the flare disappeared. I thought it was a player screwing around. After a while I stopped recording.

I started again when I heard the sound and saw the gas. A mistake that saved my character. If it came two minutes earlier it would have dropped on me. I saw a lot of cool stories here and I just wanted to add mine too.

I'm a freshie, and I'm scared. I've only got about 30 hours in the game.

I respawn in the middle of nowhere, start walking along a road, and find gear and weapons I've never even seen before next to some military vehicles.

I don't even know how to snipe!

I make it to a town and find everything except antibiotics.

All I want is to find a hammer so I can head out into the woods and build a shelter near a lake.

Scratch that i dont know how to build.

Then I hear gunshots nearby... and I spot another player.

I log out.

I've got 1,500 hours in DayZ, mostly on Chernarus, but damn... why is finding good loot in Livonia so hard? Every time I play this map, I end up feeling like a total noob, I think I'm gonna give up on this map

Ever since the last update, there are people god moding in every single official server. Game is unplayable at this point.

i am extremely new to this game, i think i had less than 20 hours when i recorded this.

my friend had loaded in and died almost immediately, so i waited around 5 minutes before i joined. when i finally loaded in i found someone looting my friend's body so i killed him, but when i went to reload my gun i died instantly.

Not a milestone I thought I would reach when I bought the game but here we go.

Direct gas attack. Probably the funniest moment I've had.

I’m in konopki trying to get water. As I crouch up to it to avoid zombies I see a bear in the middle of the street. So I said yea not going that way. I turn around and crouch out of the town, agro one zombie, then run into 2 more zombies. Once I start to fight I hear “RAWRR” in my head I’m like o shii. So I got to running. That wasn’t working so I juss laid on the ground and took the beating (shoutout yt reel). 3 zombies and a bear attacking me I thought im dead for sure, nope woke up and lost my friendly brass knuckles. At this point I said lemme head north to continue my mission. Made it about 50 yards up the street and ran into a player we fought I won and now I’m low health. After I get done looting him a pack a wolves came outta nowhere, no howls or nothing straight action. Kill them and 45 mins later at a crash heli I die to a freshie with a ak or m4. The series of events that happened was crazy. 😭😭🤦🏽‍♂️

Is it normal to get way more nervous when a town is half-looted than when it is completely empty?

I’m still pretty new to DayZ, and this is honestly one of the hardest parts of the game for me mentally. When I enter a town and every door is open, I usually assume someone already came through and left. But when only some doors are open, there are dead infected near one house, random ruined clothes on the floor, and food missing from just a few places, I start overthinking everything. It feels like someone was interrupted, or heard something, or is still close by.

Then I stop looting normally and start checking windows, listening for footsteps, closing doors behind me, and wondering if I should even stay there. Half the time I’m probably scaring myself over nothing, but the other half feels like I’m walking into someone else’s unfinished situation.

Do other players get this too, or is this just a new player thing?

What is the best way to act in those situations? Do you leave the town, clear buildings slowly, wait and listen, or just keep looting and accept the risk?

Aperantly, for some reason, there is a 5.56 bullet model inside the action of the AK-74.

Hi all. I’ve been playing dayZ for years now on steam but my friend recently got it on Xbox and I’ve been playing the Microsoft store version of the game so I can play with him. But I cannot no matter how hard I try get my mic to work in game. It works fine on steam dayz but not here. Can you guys maybe shine some light on this for me? Thank you.

Was up at tisy and got shot at by a duo, on my way out I stumbled across a vehicle and to teach them a lesson I decided to blow up their car. Thanks for the dmr mag and the steak boys x
