So somehow since 1.29 a few months ago now, it seems like the Zombies are way worse then before?

They somehow aggro from miles away. They almost always magically bring multiple zombies with them when they do. Some how they are now going through me and making it so I cannot hit them.

I just don't understand this man. Every update is making this game worse. not better

Ever since the last update, there are people god moding in every single official server. Game is unplayable at this point.

I’m in konopki trying to get water. As I crouch up to it to avoid zombies I see a bear in the middle of the street. So I said yea not going that way. I turn around and crouch out of the town, agro one zombie, then run into 2 more zombies. Once I start to fight I hear “RAWRR” in my head I’m like o shii. So I got to running. That wasn’t working so I juss laid on the ground and took the beating (shoutout yt reel). 3 zombies and a bear attacking me I thought im dead for sure, nope woke up and lost my friendly brass knuckles. At this point I said lemme head north to continue my mission. Made it about 50 yards up the street and ran into a player we fought I won and now I’m low health. After I get done looting him a pack a wolves came outta nowhere, no howls or nothing straight action. Kill them and 45 mins later at a crash heli I die to a freshie with a ak or m4. The series of events that happened was crazy. 😭😭🤦🏽‍♂️

Possible hacker or just insane snipers?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to get your opinion on something that happened to my group.

The language in the Video is german. You maybe wont notice, but three of our five people group died at the exact same time. One of my friends got unconsious with 3 cuts and a broken leg.

In the video, you'll see that three of us died almost at the exact same time, even though we were all inside three different buildings. The player who killed us was also quite far away, which makes the whole situation seem extremely suspicious.

We're not trying to accuse anyone without proof, but this honestly felt almost impossible from our perspective.

Has anyone experienced something similar before? Do you think this could have been a hacker, or is it actually possible for a sniper to pull off shots like this legitimately?

Its me or in the last days since the update 1.29 was release i have been killed in some weird ways. They rushed to me even im not making any noise. Right now i just spawn and i have already a guy rushing to me. Someone notice the hackers are back? Im have been playing on community servers like spaggies green/blue, karmakrew and clash vanilla.

I usually play official but want to avoid cheaters, im looking for a modded servers that isnt crazy modded. Preferably with highish pop and a good active moderation team, any recommendations?

My friend and I have about 20 hours each on dayz been playing on the Northman server before the wipe. What’s a decent modded server with sleeping bags ? Any help or anybody down to play with us lmk. We suck and are new but love the game. I learned never get mad at a death everything seems to be borrowed .

Ive come across several tents and I want to "unpack" them so I can take them with me, but I see no option to do it?! Does anyonee else have the same problem or am I just unlucky with the positioning of the tent?

Was up at tisy and got shot at by a duo, on my way out I stumbled across a vehicle and to teach them a lesson I decided to blow up their car. Thanks for the dmr mag and the steak boys x

Is it normal to get way more nervous when a town is half-looted than when it is completely empty?

I’m still pretty new to DayZ, and this is honestly one of the hardest parts of the game for me mentally. When I enter a town and every door is open, I usually assume someone already came through and left. But when only some doors are open, there are dead infected near one house, random ruined clothes on the floor, and food missing from just a few places, I start overthinking everything. It feels like someone was interrupted, or heard something, or is still close by.

Then I stop looting normally and start checking windows, listening for footsteps, closing doors behind me, and wondering if I should even stay there. Half the time I’m probably scaring myself over nothing, but the other half feels like I’m walking into someone else’s unfinished situation.

Do other players get this too, or is this just a new player thing?

What is the best way to act in those situations? Do you leave the town, clear buildings slowly, wait and listen, or just keep looting and accept the risk?

i am extremely new to this game, i think i had less than 20 hours when i recorded this.

my friend had loaded in and died almost immediately, so i waited around 5 minutes before i joined. when i finally loaded in i found someone looting my friend's body so i killed him, but when i went to reload my gun i died instantly.

Hard to come up with a title for this but it's a persistent thought I've been having while playing for the last few months, and it comes from the realisation I guess we all come to eventually. You could literally be tens of metres from another player: over a ridgeline, at the other end of a town, and never see each other or be aware of the other. It's kinda why I love this game. I could be alone, or I could be within 600m of 3 other people, all of us oblivious to the others. I've been the one watching from the woodline, sneaking around is how I prefer to play. Which leads me to my thought, and I can't imagine I'm the only one having considered it.

I would love some kind of way to just spectate a full server.

Now I know there's a whole bunch of issues there with people spotting for their friends actually playing the server. Frankly there's no good way to even approach handling it. That said, I would watch the shit out of this sort of thing. You can fly your camera around the map, able to see a little icon that marked the players, both on a map and hovering in the world. You could just hover over a player, watch how they play, watch what they do, then zoom off to someone else who's having a completely different experience. The main draw would be watching as players start coming together, seeing if they are aware of each other, how they react, seeing the gunfight from above.

I could watch this sort of stuff all day, I'd find it endlessly fascinating. Watching streamers is great, but it's not this spectating random players. It would give insight into where people go, how they play, what they do/don't notice about their surroundings. Is that one player who happens to be alone in their quarter of the map playing as if they're alone, or are they sneaking around worried about every bush, despite nobody being within kilometres of them.

Like I said, there's so many reasons this doesn't work. Friends in discord directing friends, people "spectating" their server to see where people are stashing stuff. It's not practical. I'm not under the delusion this could ever happen at scale. I guess server admins might be able to do this? I'm not sure the sort of stuff admins can do as I've never looked into hosting.

Just a random DayZ wish I know will likely never get fulfilled,and wondering if I'm alone in this.

Edit, for clarity: I'm absolutely not saying this should be a thing, or wanting it to be a thing. I can't overstate in this post how much I know this doesn't work: stashes, streaming locations to players in the server. Quite a few people have replied to say "it's not possible". Politely: I know. This was just a discussion on how interesting people would or wouldn't find it. "I wish this was doable, but it never would be".

Was on spaggies orange server Chernarus and made it a good 8 hrs in on the character. In severograd at night when I hear shots towards kamensk - it's 30 players online. I was planning on going to Kalinovka then taking a turn westward toward polesovo. It's so dark, there is barely any light so I got my brightness up. Upper Kalinovka garages/3 sheds with metal gates. I check the last one and step back out and got one shotted. I did hear a gun sound before I died so assuming a 300+ metre shot. I was not wearing a helmet. I don't think it was a cheater. There are a few bases in Kalinovka/Polesovo - those town I have died 3 times in the last 3 lives. Be careful hehe even at night

My friend and i are playing dayz on pc already. But he doesnt like Mouse and keyboard. So we thinking about Buying dayz for the ps5.

Are there many active Players/servers?

How is bad is the exploit situation? Do many people use exploits/glitches?

Does it run well(performance)?

What about "mods" (i know there are no real mods but modifications) what does it give?

And if they do does it affect night brightness? Last few days i've logged on to check the night brightness but its been "waning gibbous" each time i check, i will continue to check over the next few weeks to see if i notice any change, But if anyone just outright knows for a fact and can tell me and possibly even link a YT vid or something showcasing i would appreciate it, Any info i find online was from the dayz mod and nothing is up to date and the AI answer is just wrong.

Also does weather affect night time brightness still?, if its clear w/ no clouds is it brighter than if it was overcast raining/foggy, I know last time i played night was super dark and i had to use my glowstick/sky to navigate which was very immersive and atmospheric.

Not trying to stir up any controversy just trying to get an answer quicker than waiting weeks testing myself lol.
