EST Watch Schedule in one place - Individuals and Masters
I made this because I just wanted to print something out real quick. Let me know if I goofed anything up. Tried to put in what was exclusive to FloElite and what wasn't.
But I'm printing it out so I can follow along a bit better over the week.

[NSFW?] Embarrassing (but genuine) questions about certain exercises and male anatomy I'm to awkward to ask a coach.
I'm fortunate that I get on really well with the coaches and other members of my Crossfit affiliate, and consider them friends. So I am far to embarrassed to ask these questions. But it's getting to the point that I think I need help, because I'm wondering this every time we do these exercises.
If someone were to have male anatomy downstairs:
- When doing burpees, how do you stop you dick smashing against the ground whenever you hit the floor? I'm now landing on my hip, and I'm beginning to think it's way to obvious. Someone's going to ask why, and when I give the reason everyone will laugh at me.
- While holding the bar in front of you when starting a hang clean, is it above or below your dick? No way in the world am I going round the class looking at what the other dudes are doing.
- Likewise, when bringing the bar up while doing the hang clean, how do you avoid smashing it into your dick? It's been pretty painful a few times.
I'm so, so sorry for these crude, awkward questions. If the mods want to delete this, I totally understand. But please wait until I get at least one answer first!

Lb AND kg….in CrossFit Games
Am I the only one non-American who cannot comprehend how they don’t write both measurement in the workout description?? Come on!! How hard would it be….

Update: the training paid off
Parents were victorious! 4-3 and one of those goals was scored by our goal keepers daughter…looked awfully suspicious.
Only one dad went down with a knee injury, still waiting to hear severity, also assuming there will be some diagnosed injuries this morning.
Personally, achillies and caves are sore this morning, but feeling better as I move. According to my daughter, I’m a fast and aggressive player, but my kicks were suss, passed were bad, and I was trying to play the whole field…
My engine was great, speed was great, but my goodness, staying with those quick turns and switches was tough.
10/10 would play again next year.

CFHQ shoot themselves in the foot yet again
Anyone who knows anything about sport promotions knows that you only put your content behind a paywall if demand supports it.
No amount of licensing fee from Flo will make up for this massive missed opportunity to leverage all the interest in hybrid sports and showcase The Games for anyone who wants to see these great events. Even getting hate watchers tuning in could have been turned into a win by flexing viewership numbers.
A perfect example is smaller MMA promotions. One Championship, PFL (bought out Belator), Karate Combat, RAF, BKB...they all make most (if not all) live events free on YouTube in order to get more eyes on the promotion. They only charge once they feel they have build up the athletes' stories and brought enough attn to the sport itself. The UFC obvious puts everything behind a subscription because they can.
Closer to home, I know Hyrox made their marquee events free to watch live--though not sure about this last year TBH.
Not only should CFHQ make the entire Games free, they should make the exact start time of the most popular events public and promote the hell out of them across socials. Maybe, just maybe, viewership could have grown and then they could have flexed better viewership numbers from previous years to fight all death of CrossFit talk. Promotion 101 basics here.
CFHQ putting so many of the events behind a subscription model rather than promoting that it can be easily watched for free on YouTube is an absolute own goal.

Masters are very strong
I have a question: in the Masters category, do they do doping controls, or do they just allow TRT, or is it not detected? I see the Masters athletes' physiques and they're stronger than the Elites, hahaha, a bit strange, isn't it?

What do you wish you'd know before taking the L1 class/test?
Just what the title says! I am registered for next weekend's L1 because 1) my gym really needs coaches and 2) I keep hearing it's great foundational info if you love the sport. If you've taken the CFL1, what advice do you have for either the course or the exam? (It's now two days in person, then the test is administered online.)
I would also gladly take you just hyping me up and telling me it'll be awesome - as a scaled athlete I am experiencing some major imposter syndrome. :)

My endurance sucks and I don’t know what to do
I 25 (f) recently started CrossFit about 3 months ago. I consistently go 3 times a week (because that’s what my paycheck can handle).
I feel so defeated. I can lift just about rx weight and I feel like I am okay-ish at weight lifting as that is what I came from before starting CrossFit. The kicker is that my endurance is so bad. I can’t get my heart rate below 190, I can’t catch my breath, and I nearly pass out each time. Idk what to do or how to condition myself to be better at it. Pls help :(

I still have to do a jump shot to Rx wall balls and its exhausting.
I know wall balls are brutal for short folks. Especially me at 5'7" and 150 lbs. Just hitting the target requires max effort and literally leaving the ground for every rep. Heart rate goes straight to 95% after 10 reps. Wondering if there are good supplemental work and good form tips for me to work on. Or if there are any good videos to help me out. Its hard because I dont have access to a wall ball target so I basically only get to practice them when they show up in my gym's WOD.

Squat Clean Technique
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Weight here is 265lbs and I weigh somewhere around 195lbs. This was the final rep of doing 12 rounds of 1 squat clean every 40 seconds. I started at 185 lbs and word my way up.
This ties my PR, but looking at how relatively easy I stood the weight up I think I could get more if I tightened up my technique. Any feedback is appreciated!

I’m confused why didn’t this have everyone listed for event 1 heat 2?
r/crossfit • u/silversquirrel • 1d ago
I’ve trained 12 years for this. Tonight’s the night.
My teenage daughter’s end of the year soccer party, kids vs parents. I’ve always said Ive done CrossFit to be able to keep up with my kids, let’s see if I can!
Spoiler: I’m going to blow a hammy, or she’s going to run circles around me….. probably both.

CrossFit Box Übernahme in Deutschland
Vielen Dank schon mal!
