I'm new to running a campaign on Foundry and I've encountered a problem whilst setting up character sheets.

Adding items and abilities works fine, but when I use the three dots at the end of the entry to try and edit or remove them, the menu I'm supposed to select from appears in the bottom left of the character sheet, as shown in the picture, and none of the options on the menu are selectable.

When I've tried the same thing playing characters in other people's servers, a dropdown menu appears underneath the three dots.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

I know the latest update on July 8th said physical products were on the water and they were working on the digital version. I have to assume that the ships are getting close to ports around the world. With that they also said in the update that the digital rewards should be out soon. Really hoping soon is coming up fast. I’m pretty sure I had the digital rewards by about a month at least before I had the physical Stormlight rewards.

I'm starting to prepare the Stonewalkers adventure after a successfull Bridge 9 oneshot. The players had lots of fun. Now I have a few questions on how to prepare the big adventure.

My plan is to let the players discover the paths and history of the Knights Radient, Singers, etc. while playing the adventure. 3 of 4 players haven't read the books so the world is very new to them (altough one player already speculated that humans are perhaps not native to Roshar, I tried not to answer that question haha). I've given them the Welcome to Roshar guide and created a wiki for them to use at the table and they have read it and roleplayed amazingly with their premade characters in the Bridge 9 adventure.

So far they know that there is a magic system involved but not how it looks. Exept the one that read the books, he knows of course and I will let him create a character that knows more about the world than the average citizen if he wants. He can act as a in-world guide to the rest of the party. I told them they will discover it while playing Stonewalkers as it ties in with their character decisions and want them to answer a few questions about their characters ideals so that I can track which radiant spren they would attract during the adventure.

I've just found the character creator on Demiplane and I really like how easy it makes it for new players to the system. I have backed the physical and PDF versions but not the VTT, so I would have to buy a few resources again.

Has anyone play the Stonewalkers adventure with Demiplane? Did it help structure the campaign or was it just like a PDF with the adventure to scroll through? How was your experience with it?

And is there a way where I could restrict specific information like Knights Radiant and Singer Paths, etc. from my players?

Can the Fused breath in voidlight mid-fight? (Filling up their investiture again.) I simply didn't find that action in their Adversary sheets.

My players are about to swear their 3rd ideal and get their Shardblades. In the rules, you need an action to summon a blade (like interact). If you have side sword expertise, and summon your blade as a side sword, no actions are required, right?

As the title implies im gona be playing a Herdaz Stone ward. I want him to be quick with a joke. And if it involves using his stoneward abilities in possibly lewd ways to make the joke then im in. Here is what I have so far.

"Oi gancho, is that a sphere in ur pocket or are ya just happy to see me" then uses powers to..... well you know.

My GM is going to let me ask the Nightwatcher for access to a single Surge without being one of the required Knights Radiant. That means only getting the basic surge and no additional talents.

Which ones would be worth it without their talent trees? Which ones would be the worst?

I’m interested in general thoughts, but if you want to know specifics about my character, im a scholar who has some surgeon and some strategist abilities, so I’m pretty supportive in combats with higher Int, Will, Awa scores.

I have an Agent/Truthwatcher at my table, he just get Glimpse of future talent from Enlightened tree and my question is: how it's not OP? he can reroll any test, one by one. How others dealing with this?

I’m running the first chapter of Stonewalkers on Wednesday, and I was wondering if your players cared about Taszo? Those that have played know that he dies at the end of the chapter. The characters who arrive at the Crossroads at the same time as Taszo will have known him for a couple of weeks at that point. But the players will have only known him for a few minutes. By the time he runs into the Highstorm, which is an expected 1.5 hours of playtime into the game, I’m worried the players won’t care enough to think about following him in. Obviously there’s an outcome where they don’t follow him, but I’m then questioning how I’ll get the info about Liss to them.

Any advice/knowledge from other GMs would be great

So obvious book spoilers, when discussing this topic, but I really would love to get some content for what happens and how the world looks post night of sorrows. Nothing character related or even the rest of the cosmere necessarily, but do you think we will get something for that?

I just want some real content for this part of the lore and play a good adventure in it, but as it stands we dont know enough about how the world looks and works after the night of sorrows to even make homebrew adventures with stormlight being gone and how the political landscape ends up looking exactly.

With book six at least off until 2031, is there any chance we get content for this?

I ended up finishing this much sooner than expected. This was definitely a fun path-type to create: mechanically, it ended up borrowing some elements from the Tracker Speciality (which, honestly, just screams Sixth of the Dusk) and Spren Bond trees. However, this is still probably the most I've deviated from official Paths, in that this is a unique Path type separate from Ancestral, Heroic, and Invested.

As always, please let me know any of your thoughts and feedback on this. It is always appreciated and it really helps me to tackle this massive project.

P.S. With the Rough Draft of the Aviar complete, I have officially completed half of the paths for Project Ars Arcanum! Granted, the other half of the paths are going to be a bit more difficult to make, but I still felt like this was a milestone worth celebrating. Thank you all for your help, support, and encouragement thus far. I seriously wouldn't have done this if it wasn't for you.

I introduced a 2-player party to the Cosmere RPG through First Steps over the weekend. We did not finish it, didn't have time to complete the combat segment but both are more interested in the roleplay than combat anyway.

From what I understand seeing in various threads, Taszo is involved with the Honorblade hook, which is the major plotline of the adventure. My characters have not met Taszo in First Steps yet, but they might not be interested in an Honorblade anyway. Instead they were quite invested in Ralanat betraying the Kholins during FS, one player ended up with a heavy suggestion of Agent as starting path and the goal of "finding a buyer for Ralanat's secret" so I suspect they will be trying to act on that.

Does the Stonewalkers material go into the Ralanat sidequest or does it mostly focus on the Honorblade?

Also one of the party is Iriali, I remember people mentioning Ylt which sounds like an Iriali name - is their involvement in the camps or outside the war camp and only if they proceed on the Honorblade plot?

Tl;dr is the Stonewalkers module material useful if the party is unlikely to care much about honor/shardblades?

If I've misunderstood something, please correct me!

I struggled hard with this one. I'm hoping to hear what others did, maybe it can help future GMs.

We got to the part where we had to "play" pieces. The party wanted to figure out how to actually play and win to earn her favor. It says that the PCs and NPCs take turns and are trying to burn down her focus enough to win the encounter. We might have went on a tangent trying to setup a game based on community made up rules. Then, they spent their turns asking questions about the tiles to try to determine where they were.

It got confusing because I wasn't sure if they should actually be trying to solve the game or of they should be spending their time asking questions of the NPC to try to wear her down. I also, wasn't too sure what kind of questions the Mink should be asking the PCs.

In the end the party actually won enough tests to figure out the arrangement of the pieces and receive another lead. But, man, I was on the struggle bus trying to figure out how to run that encounter.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to run this encounter more smoothly?

One of my players likes to earn money and trade. I felt that keeping track of spheres, costs, and profits made the game feel a bit too much like work - so I made some homebrew rules! Sharing it here because I'm sure there are many players who'd like something like this.
I was inspired by the Rogue Trader "Profit Factor" system, so there are quite a few similarities to that. I'd love any feedback, but I'm mostly putting this out there for fellow GMs to use and abuse!

A friend is going to be running the rpg and I am trying to explore the setting a bit. So how similar are Spren to DMT Entities? Are there any substances, rituals, or experiences that allow a normal human to experience temporary perception into Shadesmar?

Hey folks, finally spoke the words and very excited to lean into the abrasion surge. I've been thumbing through the book and I'm having some trouble finding a good precedent for how to rule kicking things at people with abrasion. I imagine that's something the surge can do, though it'd obviously take two actions (infuse + interact.)

The book has a surprising number of references to boulders, mentioning that you can use Avoid Danger to dodge them and that they would do impact damage. I was planning to ask my GM if an Abrasion check vs a size-based dc (5 for medium, 10 for large, etc) would be appropriate to see if I can aim my projectiles on the ground, and was thinking that the damage could start at around 2d6 for a Medium rock and then 2d8 for large, 2d10 for huge, etc (no skill modifier bonus.) The damage scaling and about on par with a sling or other light weapon, which imo balances out the limited-use rocks and investiture use. If anyone has any other ideas I'd really appreciate it.

I'm 3d printing a bunch of scatter terrain and this is something I want to do a lot, so consistent or balanced rules would be greatly appreciated.

My first own campaign now that my party is only 1 or 2 sessions away from finishing Stonewalker.

Now the idea would be a cult of Hemalurgy users that want to "resurrect" Ruin.

The important question is: HOW?

Brandon said once that it would be possible to steal a whole Shard with a Hemalurgy spike, but at the same time that there isn't enough metal in the Cosmere to store that much investiture. That's why my little cult will steal the connection to Ruin people have and put the spikes into their own bodies, connecting themselves to the shard until their connection is stronger than Sazed's connection to Ruin. And in the end, ripping the Shard away from our favorite Terris-men.

But how do they get that connection to Ruin? First, through torture, they destroy the body of a victim and, through their own destruction, then steal their connection to Ruin, and in a second step they kill the torturer and rob him of his connection to Ruin. Like a pyramid system, only those at the top profit.

I'm choosing that method because of 2 reasons.

1: The theory floating around that the Iriali are the splinters of shard Virtuosity. Who splintered itself and now can't be found. So it seems to be possible to splinter a shard between people... in some way.

2: Connection allows one to do wonky shit. For example, the Heralds in the end were able to defend the Spren from Retribution because of their connection to Honor.

Wanted to share my idea for a group of villains operating on Roshar, far away from the influence of Harmony, who may want to stop them. (Also Harmonies black shadow gave me that idea, no matter what Brandon plans to do with him. "Discord" still being a possibility on the horizon of the Cosmere.

While the blog will cover several Plotweaver settings eventually, for right now it'll be Cosmere characters!
