I'm wondering if anyone has worked for, or is currently working at, Capita. I have an interview with them soon for a hybrid Customer Service Advisor role, and I'm a newly graduated college student looking to start my career and earn some money.
The role is 37.5 hours per week, with some days working from home. What surprised me is that the salary is only €27,000, which seems quite low compared to other graduate roles I've seen that start at around €30,000.
I've never worked in a call centre before, so I'm not really sure what to expect. One thing I'm worried about is whether the job involves making cold or sales calls. I really don't like scam or unsolicited calls myself, and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that kind of work.
Can anyone who has worked for Capita tell me what the job is actually like? Is it mainly answering incoming customer calls, or is there a lot of outbound calling and sales involved? I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience before my interview. Thanks!

Has anyone living on the North City Link noticed an increase in anti-social behaviour lately? I never really noticed it before but the past three months have been bad. Lots of yelling, interesting characters and needles/bags on the ground. Not complaining just want to see if I’m just being dramatic.

I've scoured Facebook groups, the dog sitter apps and I haven't been able to find anyone. I work 7.00am-8pm in CUH and it's a constant struggle to find someone to mind my beloved 4 year old cocker spaniel. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a dog sitter? Not interested in daycare as they don't open early enough or stay open late enough, also not interested in someone for dog walking. I need someone I can drop my dog to for the day that I know he'll be safe and well cared for. He enjoys the company of other dogs but usually just 1-3 in the house, more than that and he gets overwhelmed and withdrawn. If anyone can point me in the right direction to someone reputable that I could contact, I would greatly appreciate it 🙏🏼💕

What’s the deal with these two crossings by UCC?
An I right in thinking that they’re not official crossings where motorists must give way, that they’re courtesy crossings where pedestrians do not have an automatic right-of-way?

Hiya, trying to plan a funny trip for some of the girls has anyone used the pink hummers that would go around town or know of what service that is? The sites online are kind bonky ❤️

Seen this house go up 3 times now, once last year with barry auctioneers and then with Jeremy Murphy. Then sale agreed and now back up again with Jeremy Murphy. Just wondering if anyone knows why this house won't sell (from someone who's looking)
Looking for a decent Chinese that isn't pure grease and oil. Is Yong Mang Yang still the best?
If not, any recommendations? Where would a Chinese person go to eat?

They have to equally as annoying as the leprechauns. Shouting at people from across the street to come talk to them or walking into their path . Purely unregulated sector who apply guilt with no context !!

It makes me so sad that this is what Cork City Council left us with

It's awful to see the effects climate change is having on their natural habitat. The Paul Street goth population has been completely devastated.
In my day, you couldn't move without bumping into a goth in head-to-toe black, carrying a skateboard and drinking a can of Monster. At any given moment, there would be at least twenty of them sitting on the bike rail outside Tesco, smoking rollies and communicating through obscure band lyrics.
Now, sightings are increasingly rare. Experts say they had migrated to dark corners of the peace park but now that's been destroyed, it was the final nail in the coffin for Cork cities goth population. Now it's feared they've been absorbed into the wider population sustaining themselves on depop.
Cork City Council really needs to begin urgent conservation efforts. Paul Street should be restored to its natural ecosystem, with additional shaded areas where goths can rest without overheating and a protected supply of eyeliner, studded belts and a dedicated piercing artists.
If this fails we must take it into our own hands and start a grassroots breeding programme and see if the habitat is still viable by introducing that one cousin who gives off school shooter vibes.
Future generations deserve to witness the Paul Street goth in the wild, chain smoking in the rain while insisting that nobody understands them.

Hi all! Bought our house recently and the oven is in some state even though the sellers apparently got everything deep cleaned 🙃 would anyone have experience with getting an oven deep cleaned, and if so anyone they could recommend? Thanks!

Is there anyone at home doing nails in the Wilton/Bishopstown area? I don’t have time to head into town so I was wondering if there’s anyone I can reach out to do them before the weekend? Thanks!

Looking to order some pizza tomorrow and I'm wondering whats the best place to order a delivery from? I used to love Dominoes but they've gone to shit for me, like their sauce is just painted into the pizza or something.
