Found a dog
galleryIs anyone missing a dog? I found him on Mary ave today around 11 am and there’s no tag on his collar. We are just hanging out in my backyard now.

Hey Cambridge,
After such a great turnout at our last event, I’m putting together another free social night for adults in Hespeler!
This time, we’re doing karaoke and board games. Whether you want to sing your favourite song, play a few games, or simply meet some new people, you’re welcome to join us.
The karaoke is completely judgment free, and you definitely do not have to sing. You’re also welcome to bring your favourite board game, snacks, or drinks.
The goal is simply to create a relaxed space where adults can meet new people and have a fun night out. Coming alone is completely normal and encouraged!
📅 When: Thursday, July 30, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
📍 Where: 215 Queen Street West, Cambridge, in Hespeler
🎤 What: Karaoke, board games, snacks, and drinks
💵 Cost: 100% free
🔞 Age: 18+
Space is limited, so please grab a free ticket through the Eventbrite link if you plan on coming. Hope to see you there!

About time somebody said it. We are lucky that in Canada we are free to practice our religion. Just don't push your nonsense on every one else.

Hi we have I believe a pretty high end wheel chair no longer needed, looking to give it to someone in need, curious if there is specific group or centre that will make sure it goes to those in need instead of someone trying to scrap the metal for $10. Thanks

For the past hour or 1.5 hours I've been tracking storms on weatherwise and Woodstock and Hamilton are under severe thunderstorm warnings and Cambridge and Kitchener aren't so the bubble is working somewhat

Any recommendations for a handyman that could trace & repair a leak in the roof?

Anyone have a recommendation for local roofers? I've got some quotes and they are outrageous so far. Thanks!

Hello Cambridge Reddit, I'm new to the area. I'm currently looking for a place to buy weed in Galt. What is your go-to place to buy weed in the Galt area? Are there any places that I should avoid? I live in one of the new developments near Hwy 8. Thank you in advance.

Waiting on the second generator and think I need a tripod

There are so many used car dealerships in town, I'm a bit overwhelmed. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go? Or maybe more importantly, where to avoid?

Saw this cat roaming around, might be helpful if someone is looking for a missing cat, it’s near Myers Creek public school
I tried calling humane services and they said they can’t come unless the cat is confined.
Pictures are the best I can do as the cat keeps running away.

Was hoping someone knew where to get good meatpies in the area. Looking for something similar to what are common in New Zealand. Usually 4 inches wide and taken to go, filled with beef or lamb woth gravy.

Looking for suggestions in Cambridge/KW for places that do IV infusions (Meyers Cocktail or B/C vitamins, etc.) I’ve found a few online so just looking for personal experiences with professionalism/cleanliness/etc. TIA!

Started the day off today with a bald eagle in the backyard this morning. My house backs on to Eagle street, so, makes sense I guess

What is wrong with Cambridge Food Bank from https://cambridgefoodbank.org! I've been trying to donate on a monthly basis and I am willing to get their input on that about the requirements and HOW MUCH they can HANDLE. It has been 2 weeks trying to reach them and these guys either don't answer or don't call back. Is there a food bank who really needs donations? Either they are receiving too much donations already or are not interested already. (At least not enough to call back after 3 calls).

This is the longest we’ve gone with the poorest air quality.
Canada rates air quality on a scale of 1 to 10. One is clean, 10 is the worst. When it goes past 10 they just call it "10+", because the scale doesn't go any higher. Think of it like a volume knob that only goes to 10.
Waterloo Region has been sitting at 10+ since Wednesday morning. It's Friday. We've been stuck at the maximum for about 30 hours straight without a break.
If you're heading out today:
- Check the AQHI number, not the sky. The haze can look mild and still be hard on you. Environment Canada updates it every hour.
- Wear an N95 if you have to be outside. Cloth and surgical masks don't catch this stuff.
- If you're 65 or older, pregnant, have a young kid, or live with asthma, COPD or a heart condition, please take today easy. Genuinely, not as a nice-to-have.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently looking for a French tutor in Waterloo Region, preferably someone who speaks Parisian French and is available to tutor two adult students.
We both have a basic understanding of French but would like to work toward fluency so we can confidently hold conversations while traveling.
We’re open to online lessons, but would prefer in-person sessions as we feel it would help keep us more accountable.
If you’re a tutor or know someone who might be a good fit, I’d really appreciate any recommendations.

This is the worst I’ve seen yet in Cambridge. It may feel silly wearing a mask but the risk isn’t worth it!
