Is anyone starting the Bachelor of Applied Biotechnology (Honours) program this September?

I'd love to hear from current students or graduates about your experience. What are the pros and cons of the program?

How are the job opportunities after graduation? Is it relatively easy to find employment in the biotechnology field?

Also, I have a question for students who entered through the advanced pathway (Level 5). Do advanced pathway graduates have any advantage in the job market, or are they considered the same as students who completed all four years of the degree?

Can anyone speak on when the January start date offers are expected to go out? I applied to all campuses. I heard Sept start date got early offers if you had a 93+ average or something like that. Can anyone speak on either last year’s offers or if you’ve heard from admissions? Thanks! :)

I am trying to pay my deposit through Flywire to confirm my admission, but it requires my student email address. Where can I find my email address? I cannot find it on my LOA.

Where can I find the preplacements requirements such as health vaccines etc? Is it required?

I'm curious what Conestoga's rep is like these days. I know a while back they were under fire and getting a lot of flack for one reason or another, and I heard that because of that, Conestoga grads have been finding it difficult to get hired by employers because of the controversy.

I applied there because the program I want to take, Autism and Behavioural Science, is delivered asynchronously which best fits with my busy life and schedule without having to ask my kids to sacrifice their extracurriculars for a year. But I'm also nervous about spending money if the graduate certificate I earn wouldn't get me anywhere because of the controversy.

Has their reputation improved? Has anyone recently graduated from there? Did you have any difficulty or obstacles to employment?

I'm still waiting for my application to be reviewed and I've been accepted into the program at 2 other colleges so I do have options if Conestoga says no or if their rep is negatively impacting graduates.

Anyone in or know anyone in any of the Mechanical Engineering Technology programs? Design & analysis or Robotics and automation. Considering on accepting the offer but was curious about co-op and how easy or hard it is to find a placement and the job prospect after graduating. Any input is helpful!

I'm starting the Children's Mental Health program at the Conestoga Kitchener campus this September, and I'm trying to get a better feel for what to expect. If anyone has taken this program or is currently in it, I'd love to hear your experience!
I have a few specific questions:
What does the weekly timetable usually look like? Do you have to be on campus every single day, or are there online/asynchronous days?
Co-op/Placement: How does the practicum work in this program? What kind of roles or organizations do students usually get placed in?
Timeline: In which exact semester or timeframe does the co-op take place?

Hi!! I'm starting at Conestoga in the fall (the Doon campus). I was just wondering if anyone knew how I'm supposed to register for classes, I haven't gotten an e-mail for anything about and there is nothing on my student portal either. Thank you!

Has anyone else noticed the link provided for the event pictures taken before, during, and after have only whats maybe 10% of the picture actually taken? Conestoga has posted a few themselves that arnt even on the gallery provided

My course needed an average of 65 to apply. My conditional offer said 75. I got a 73. Am I going to be rejected? Does the 10% increase apply to degrees.

My girlfriend is interested in taking the public health program, she already has a public health degree from laurier but she likes how you can get the public health inspector license for this program. However her main question is how is the job market after graduating?

From our understanding is that it’s pretty difficult to get a public health inspector job right away, and you need some experience doing other stuff like health and safety jobs or ipac for example

If anyone can give us some insight that would be great!

Hey everyone, I'm currently enrolling in the Welding Techniques program at Conestoga College as an International Student, and I'm starting to wonder what the actual job market looks like after graduation.

I know welding is supposed to be a skilled trade with decent demand, but I want to hear from real people or recent grads, not just the college's recruitment pitch.

Some specific questions:

• Are employers actively recruiting from Conestoga's welding program?
• How quickly did you land a job after graduation?
• What's the salary range you're seeing? (I know it varies by location/employer)
• Are there specific companies or industries in Ontario hiring welders right now?
• Did you have to relocate, or were there opportunities in your area?
• Any surprises about the job market compared to what the program taught you?
• Is the apprenticeship route worth it, or should I look for other certifications?

I'm genuinely interested in this field and willing to put in the work, but I also want to be realistic about what I'm walking into (I chose this over Mohawk College). Any advice from recent grads or people in the industry would be super helpful.

I got this email today from Conestoga saying that my Urban Planning course for fall 2026 was suspended. Does anyone know why, or when it will be taking place?Just want to take a 2 year course at Cambridge in fall 2026. I see they offer a Civil Engineering Technician course, which is kind of similar. I already have a student number, email and paid a pre-deposit. How would I go about putting in civil engineering or another course? Just wondering about similar experiences with suspended courses. Could I just swap it out? I just don’t know what to do next, thanks in advance!
