Dick-scrimination Is there different standards on Reddit and real life?

I’ve only had one girlfriend so I don’t have much experience but she thinks my penis is huge and never seen one so big, I’m 7.2 x 5.6 which I know is above average my doctor has even commented on it but when I say that on Reddit or just online people seem to think it’s not big and barely above average, don’t know if everyone one Reddit is just lying or has 8+ inches?

AskBDP How to deal with a really relly huge softi in suit trousers?

Yo, I'm 19 and have a wedding coming up (not mine)

I found a way to deal with my bulge in regular pants. I usually go for baggy pants, but the wedding has a strict dress code, so I can't hide behind baggy clothes.

Do you have any tips or tricks?🙏🤝

Story Trivia Game Question - Almost Lost a Friend

My wife and I have been together since 2004. When we first started dating, we had a game night with another couple. They heard us have sex all the time as my wife and the girl were roommates.
One night we were having drinks and playing a sex themed trivia game. When the question was asked “what’s your biggest fear in the bedroom?” Or something like that. My wife responded “a small dick!” Her friend responded “a big dick!” We laughed, but her BF had this defeated look on his face and it got super awkward. For a while, he kind of avoided me, but we were cordial.
Him and I ended up being really good friends without ever mentioning that game again. Since then, every time we would hang out, I would catch her glancing at my bulge.
Turns out, his size was discussed between her and my wife, and he did in fact have a small one. They are still together to this day; true love prevailed.

AskBDP Mental block with dating smaller guys

Hey all :) I barely use my reddit account but I’m hoping for a bit of perspective on this. I’ve got a bit of an anti-big dick problem I suppose. I consider myself not a shallow person, I value emotional intimacy and connection above a lot of things. I’m 23, educated, nice I think, and I work in conservation (currently doing wildlife research in the canadian rockies!). I have a decently high sex drive, which maybe has something to do with it. I meet guys and talk to them, maybe go on a few dates, but I’m always disappointed when they pull down their pants.

As soon as I learn they’re below what my mind perceives as big I immediately lose interest. I feel a little bit ashamed I suppose. I feel like I’m holding myself back from pursuing a quality relationship with someone just because I honestly have it in my mind that I want to date a guy who’s actually packing. I can handle the pain lol. Then, of course, there’s the issue with me looping a big chunk of the dating pool off since not that many guys are even bringing much to the table. Half of me feels like it’s just lust, I’m not actually dating the man if I’m dating the dick, but the other half of me feels like it’s okay for me to have preferences and knows that I am looking for deeper connection.

I don’t really have this requirement for anything else. I’ve dated guys shorter and taller than me, older and younger, no race hangups, just compatibility wants. I’d appreciate any perspective on this, thanks!

TellBDP Toys don't fit

I've been an occasional fleshlight/stroker user for maybe a year and a half now. I had an Oxballs stroker for most of my time until it broke and ripped in multiple places on me. For reference, I'm 8" long, 6.5" wide. Around 5.5" soft and maybe an inch less in girth. Not only did this stroker break open at the end but there were tears at the opening and eventually a rip going through the side.

I eventually knew it was time to get something better, so I bought a hard case Schag's. After clean and use for the first time, I was too thick to fit through the case. Like there was immense pain trying to fit halfway. The only thing I can do now is just use the stroker without the case but that was not something I thought about before buying (or at least I thought it was big enough).

I've had sex before, this trans guy I was in a relationship with for a few months had an issue once or twice with my size but things ended up fine. But now I wonder how extreme a size like mine really feels.

Anyone else have a similar issue?

TellBDP This one hurt…

For reference I’m 8”x6.5”

So I always knew there were certain things I couldn’t enjoy because of my size. You know the usual oral, anal, perfect condom sizing, etc. On top of that I have been used to and ok with the fact that i have to be cautious and frequency of sex can’t be as often as I’d like. To me all of these were “oh no my steak is too juicy and my lobster is too buttery” problems. I came to terms and it was ok.

Well today it stung. My wife all but explicitly told me she would appreciate and prefer if I was a smaller size. We’ve been married for 5 years and I always thought we had a great sex life with normal ups and downs. I know it probably feels worse that it is but this one hurt boys.. this one hurt.

Edit: This is a TellBDP post I’m not torn up about it it’s was an “ouch” in the moment. Appreciate all the advice and looking out. Great community!

Edit: Again. This is not an issue that’s detrimental to my marriage. It is not an arousal issue and nothing specific brought this on, it came up in conversation. This is not a “it hurts all the time” it’s a “only an issue with multiple times a week”. This was not said with malicious intention and it is a “damn that really sucks” problem not “wtf do I do problem”. I appreciate all the engagement but i didn’t post looking for advice. My marriage is strong and happy so don’t message me talking bad about my wife and telling me I should leave my marriage. I’d like to leave the post up because it’s sharing something others might have dealt with or will deal with and it is not an end all be all.

TellBDP Dick size perception throughout decades

I'm 43 and have an observation about size to share.

When teen I always thought I was mid. But I'd tell myself its fine. This came about with stress about "am I big enough", totally unnecessary in any case (and I don't say this due to endowement).

When adult the first time I heard I was big'ish around 30. That was a "wow, that girl is great" moment. Time went on.

Now I'm dating again at 40+ and cannot believe what's happening. One girl saw and touched my dick and would not believe its not implanted. Another says she needs a few day break from me each time because she's totally not used to the size.

Suddenly I'm enormous. Like wtf. I did grow a bit probably due to high usage but is it possible it grew that much it altered perception? Btw my ex would barely take it. She also would come from bare insertion..

Do dicks grow around 40? Or did the general dick perception shrink? I'm 6x5 flat and 7,5x6 up and did not measure myself the right way in the past so can't really tell if it changed.

AskBDP Flat shaped penis advantages or disadvantages?

Wondering if anyone here has a similarly shaped 'flat' penis which is wider than it is tall (in terms of cross section). My girth is 5.3 inches pretty consistently base to head, but due to the shape it is about 1.9 inches wide. Apparently that width would equate to ~6 inch girth assuming cylindrical shape. Does this have any advantage or disadvantage in terms of sex? I've never had any problems with it, and have received good feedback from women, saying that they feel properly stretched. Curious if anyone else has thoughts or experiences.

AskBDP Are escorts a dumb way to get laid?

I'm having physical problems with sex because of my girth. I've talked to a few escorts about this, they're all recommending me to inform anyone I see beforehand. A few have DMd me about my size, showing a lot of interest but I'm on the fence about paying for sex. I'm just worried about hurting someone who isn't expecting it, but I also find it creepy to bring it up in conversation. Porn doesn't imitate reality.

AskBDP How many are there really?

Just a wondering post due to personal experiences lately.

How many women have you guys been with that actually enjoyed having their cervix, hit either gently or roughly?

I've recently had a strange run in with multiples that enjoyed their's being hit, and while it has been interesting, I know it's not normal.

Story Surprise - You’re Big

I’m a 45-year-old man who has been in a monogamous relationship since 2004. Before meeting my wife, during high school and college, I had been with six other women, two of whom were virgins.
Based on conversations with friends, which I now realize were probably fueled by exaggeration and pornography, I always assumed I was on the low end of average size.

Throughout our marriage, my wife often complained about feeling dry during sex. The confusing part was that she would be incredibly wet beforehand but then say she felt dry once we started. Unfortunately, I internalized that and convinced myself it was because I wasn’t big enough.

Over time, I introduced toys in the hope that they would help, including an extender, which we used a handful of times. They did, especially the wand. I also learned to prioritize foreplay. My goal during sex became making sure she orgasmed, often leaving me to finish on my own because, after she came, she usually only wanted to continue for another minute or two.

Without really realizing it, the belief that I wasn’t “big enough” became a hidden part of my identity.
Fast forward to two weeks ago. My wife made a doctor’s appointment to discuss perimenopause. During the visit, she brought up the dryness, and at some point my penis came up. She told me her doctor seemed surprised by her description, especially the girth, and said that if what she was describing was accurate, she should be using a high-quality silicone lubricant because the friction from my girth was likely more than her body could comfortably compensate for.

When my wife got home, she told me what the doctor had said. I laughed and told her she must have exaggerated my size.
Out of curiosity, we decided to measure using the CalcSD instructions. The results were 6.4 inches in length and 6.1 inches in girth. The measurements were taken at around 90% erection because I started losing it while we were measuring.
The results completely blindsided me.
According to the calculator, that puts me around the 99.9th percentile by volume, the 99.8th percentile for girth, and around the 90th percentile for length.
My first reaction wasn’t excitement. It was wondering whether I’d somehow developed body dysmorphia after believing the opposite for so many years. So I actually scheduled an appointment with my own doctor.

I just got back.

Thankfully, my doctor didn’t think I had body dysmorphia. He said that while it’s more common for men to overestimate their size, underestimating isn’t unheard of. He also pointed out that the angle men normally see themselves from can make things appear smaller than they actually are.
The biggest surprise, though, was that I’m apparently an extreme grower. I more than double in size because of unusually elastic penile tissue. Basically, in a locker room I look completely average, which makes sense because gym showers were really my only point of comparison outside of porn. I’ve never actually seen another man erect in real life.
Needless to say, this has been a weird thing to process.

Looking back, I wonder if I dismissed signs from previous partners. I usually assumed compliments were just dirty talk or people trying to make me feel good.

Now it feels like a part of my self-image that I carried around for more than 20 years has been turned upside down. I’m sure this will eventually become my new normal, but I can’t help wondering what life might have been like if I’d known earlier, especially when it came to confidence.

I’ll admit I’ve even had the urge to post a picture anonymously on Reddit just to see whether what I’ve been told lines up with other people’s perceptions. I doubt my wife would appreciate that, though, so I don’t see it happening.
Has anyone else here had a realization like this, where you spent years believing something about your body that turned out to be completely wrong?

AskBDP Tilted Cervix??

Upvotes

A lady on here this week posted about having a tilted cervix and that's not having the issue of pain for example.

I found it pretty wild that I can get my fingers in and feel the cervix pretty much always on the top side of my lady. Also noticeable just in terms of getting there for some reason with three fingers I have much better access to the cervix. I'm presuming that's because of volume overall. Bring it closer?

Can someone explain to the ignorant?

I know about tenting, in which when aroused things move around. But are some ladies naturally capable of taking a larger one simply because the cervix is always on the top side rather than being all the way in the rear?

I know the obvious answer is yes, I just want to hear some discussion... 😂
