Just a thought, but wasn't it extremely dangerous for Nacho to brutally insult the cartel and admit the plot on Hector's life? Well, not anymore for Nacho, but for his father, who already openly made himself an enemy by insulting Hector as well and by knowing too much. Surely knowing how bloodthirsty the Salamanca's are, even Gus and Mike's protection wouldn't be enough if push came to shove. Because wasn't the whole point of Nacho taking the fall to ensure Gus's crew would repay by protecting his father from the cartel? This makes no sense to me, because unless Gus were to admit the secret collusion with Nacho, there is no logical reason to try to sway the cartel away from Nacho's Dad. So it seems to me like his actions potentially endangered the purpose of the whole plan, and I don't really get the plan in the first place.

How did they meet Nacho? Are they all in a triad, or are they metamours? Do they really like him, or is it a Tiger King type of relationship? What do they do when he is gone? Do they ever leave his house? They are like human house cats and I am fascinated by them. It would totally be boring and useless to the plot, but I want to see more of them so bad.

ETA: A lot of you seem to think that drug addicted women have absolutely no personality or interests besides drugs. Obviously they are tweakers, but that doesn't mean its impossible to have anything else interesting in their lives. It's disappointing to see.

Much like Chuck, Jesse's brother has all these achievements and prizes and constantly works hard. According to Howard's call to Jimmy in s4 ep1, Chuck graduated high school at the age of 14, and then at university lead the debate team 3x to victory.

Jesse's brother Jake tells Jesse that he doesn't feel like being the favorite son. He says that actually, Jesse is all the parents ever talk about.

In both cases one of the brothers is overachiever, genius, too mature for his age, and the other brother seems to get much more
attention from the parents. (how much love each of the brother gets is debatable).

Why this choice?
Can't two brothers just be ... kinda similar?

I heard that one of the writers or makers of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul confirm the theory that “Danny” from Breaking Bad who runs the laser tag place, is actually Daniel Wormald aka Pryce, the guy who’s baseball cards Nacho stole.

Anyway this got me thinking, his character was about ready to crack with the cops just from being questioned about the robbery incident, so he definitely would’ve spilled all the beans once everyone got caught. In season 6 of BCS we hear that the laser tag place was shut down by the police, which definitely means Pryce was caught and definitely snitched because he would be facing money laundering charges and other charges too. Life sentence style charges so he would yap immediately.

Then this got me thinking, okay so we know that the police were aware that Saul was Walt’s lawyer. But what evidence did they have against him exactly? In BCS we see that he cleaned out his office before fleeing with the vacuum guy with all his money and everything and also told Francesca to shred all the documents, which we see she did and is taking the trash bags out.

The police don’t have anything on Saul. Walt was the one who was in deep shit after Hanks death, because Flynn called the cops and everything was spilled when Walt realized the only thing he could was try and protect Skyler from legal consequences. Saul was just a lawyer to everyone. Even dangerous drug lords have known lawyers who are just ordinary citizens sometimes.

But, Pryce knows a lot of shit, including crimes committed during the BCS era. Granted I don’t think those would be relevant at all since it was falsifying evidence all the way back in 2002 and this would be 2010 by now. But the whole laser tag joint and knowing that Saul has many money laundering operations. He says he can trust Danny in Breaking Bad, so maybe that means Saul told him a bit too much. Maybe that’s how the police were able to connect crimes to Saul. Pryce confession helped in tracking down all the illegal things Saul was doing. It started with laser tag and at many of his money laundering businesses, they probably found evidence of his crimes with Walt. In BCS we see they clear out his house at some point. That would lead them to even more evidence is his house. So I think Pryce snitching caused Saul to become wanted.

Most of Walt’s career was due to Saul. And Mike had warned Saul ahead of time that Walt was bad news. But Saul only saw dollar signs.

He said in the last episode if it wasn’t for his help, Walt would have been dead or in jail within a month, and that rings true to me. That’s not something we really see in Breaking Bad, though we know Saul plays a big part in Walt’s success.

We also learn that Saul was a persona, an alias, a fairly one-dimensional creation of James McGill, who is a much more complicated and tragic character.

It will make all my future watches of Breaking Bad a little more sad, knowing Saul isn’t just a wacky, hilarious, smooth talking criminal lawyer, but the broken shell of a man who suffered extreme trauma not long before.Most of Walt’s career was due to Saul. *Note, this is my second time watching BCS, so no worries about spoiling anything.

My working theory is that Bolsa called the twins after he found the envelope Mike planted in Nacho's safe with the phone number to Motel Ocotillo. For Gus, this proves Bolsa is more loyal to the Salamancas than to him (which he probably knew anyway).

I'm confused how the twins arrived right after Nacho called Tyrus at the motel (after finding the spy). Was this purely coincidental timing that Bolsa told them where Nacho was and right after Nacho called Tyrus they showed up? Or, did Gus get word to the twins? And if so why would Gus do that? For someone who's almost always so in-control of the situation, would he really leave it to chance that the twins would kill Nacho instead of taking him alive as they planned to do?

One issue with my theory is Bolsa orchestrating the hit on Jimmy in 5.08. Eladio and Bolsa seem to view Lalo as a loose cannon, and they view the whole Salamanca family as scrubs. If Bolsa did call the twins in 6.02, what's his motive given that'd be contradictory to his actions in 5.08?

Hi everyone! I was halfway through my rewatch of Better Call Saul and I woke up this morning to find it, along with Breaking Bad, has disappeared from netflix (i’m in the UK). I was wondering if anybody has had this or if it’s just a glitch with my netflix specifically? El Camino is still available so i’m not quite sure what’s happening here. Any help/advice would be appreciated!

He did absoulutely nothing but i bet my guy will tell a lot of "untold" stories about his win .

out of all the amazing storylines and character development in this series, Nacho was by far the best out there right from the start. he was kinda like jesse as a sidekick throught the series up until his death, but way more depth and also Michael Mando's performance is outstanding. manipulated till the end by everyone, a great soldier overall.

loved the fact that he went out on his terms protecting is family

Recently reviewing and recognized first time that at beginning of season 6 Kim is the one who pushes Jimmy to cook Howard really badly.

Ok I get why she don't like Howard but she wants to destroy him. Why?

What the funniest pairing of characters that have never shared a scene (due to timeline/ death/ whether they're only in BCS or BB) that you can imagine?

The idea of a scene between Jesse and Howard is hilarious to me personally

Loved Breaking Bad to death and in a lot of ways BCS is even better. Jimmy and Chuck's relationship to me is one of the best in the whole of television. All of the main dynamics are so full of nuance and you really buy into these characters and the pathological nuances that tie them together.

Unfortunately I couldn't really care much for Nacho, to me at least he didn't exactly stand out (not to say that Micheal Mando didn't act his heart out). Really more of a compliment to the fantastic cast that they had.

I know Mike dies in BrB but I wish he also got more of a proper send-off in this one too, just love his character and seeing his downfall. I remember a long time ago that someone talked about how BCS is a very "white" show and I agree, especially when you see that Kim and Jimmy's "purgatory" is a stable if boring life in suburbia, the horror!

don't know about you, but i definitely did horrible things in the past, and yet, i never actually paid for that. and when this happens you end up stuck in this limbo where you're living a completely fine life and yet you dissociate the whole time cuz you can't let your past behind and so you can't even actually redeem. kim incapsulates this perfectly and she definitely is the character i felt worse for, even more than jesse, howard or skyler. now i'm gonna cry in the corner

I’m on my third rewatch and I don’t understand why Kim started to despise Mesa Verde since it was her bread and butter. I know when she was solo she was overburdened with work but once she joined Rich’s firm she was really successful. And then she starts making fun of Kevin and works against him with Mr Acker. Does she really care that guy gets to keep his house? She obviously changed her mind before the copyright infringement thing so she didn’t care that much about the old guy. Is jimmy just that much of an influence on her?
Also Kevin was squeaky clean according to the PI so even more reason not to hurt him :(

I just finished rewatching S6E7. Everyone can agree that Jimmy and Kimmy did Howard dirty, and he has one hell of a speech to give them--totally deserved!

However.

That moment when Lalo walks into the room, and Jimmy and Kim radiate fear and tell Howard to GTFO, Howard just continues to stand there and pontificate like he's in charge.

He doesn't have the sense to think, "These two must be terrified for a good reason. They know something I don't know, and I should take their advice."

Nah. Howard is the boss of these con artist mailroom proteges. He's stronger than them and he can take whatever's scaring them. He's the champion of the boxing ring, the owner of his law firm, and the scrappy architect of his own fate...

Until Lalo immediately ends him for being a bit player taking up too much space in Salamanca's story.

Howard has his reputation unfairly stolen by Jimmy and Kim's conspiracy.

But he loses his life by being the same tone-deaf egocentric child of privilege he's always been.

EDIT: For the record, since so many people seem to think this comes out of left field, the scriptwriters themselves wrote him as being "full of righteous piss and vinegar" in his first interaction with Lalo.

This dude literally soloed 8 assassins and could’ve killed gus if plot didn’t decide he already died like 18 years ago
