We are witnessing The Odyssey smash records, it has broken online booking sites in multiple countries, it is booked out for several weeks in some of the few countries that have Imax screens capable to showing it in full.
"Christopher Nolan’s epic "The Odyssey" shattered box office expectations on its opening weekend, grossing $124.5 million domestically and $264.1 million globally. It marks the biggest worldwide opening weekend of Nolan's career"
Yet in Bermuda it's opening week it has been delayed to run Moana, Supergirl and Minions (I get that it is school holidays, but The Odyssey in it's opening weekend almost made as much as all 3 combined in total, not just their opening weekends but box office so far).
The Lord of the rings 25th anniversary re-release in January;
"Massive Presales: The trilogy secured $5 million in domestic presales before the first screening even began, out-grossing multiple new 2026 releases.
Huge Global Opening: It brought in a strong $10.5 million global box office opening weekend, with $9 million coming from domestic theaters and $1.5 million from international markets"
I asked them around October if they would look at doing screenings for the Lord of the Rings, I was told they will "think about it"
