Does anybody know this dog or its owner?

Hi, friends. Earlier today a man came into my work and handed over this dog, saying he had to surrender him. The dog was called a specific name by the man, but has a different name on his tag. Two different numbers are also on the collar and tag. My coworker and I have called the local beagle rescue, other rescues, and resources we have available here, and have made a lost pet report. The dog has a chip but it’s not registered. Does anyone know him?

Car Wash + Vacuum

I’m to the area and Google isn’t doing much to help my search. Are there any drive thru car washes with self-service vacuums in the area? I don’t need or want anything fancy and would like to do it myself. TIA

Edit to add: why are the reviews on all these car washes SO BAD?

Trying my luck here… Looking to make friends (and maybe find something meaningful) 😊

Hey everyone,
I’m a 28-year-old guy who moved to Hillsboro from Arizona almost a year ago. To be honest, it’s been harder than I expected to build a social circle. I have a few friends from work, but outside of that, I don’t really know many people, and it can get pretty lonely.
I’ve been wanting to make this post for a long time but kept talking myself out of it. I figured I’d finally give it a shot because I’ve heard the Hillsboro community is really kind and welcoming.

I’m hoping to make some genuine friendships, and if life eventually leads to a meaningful relationship with someone, that would be wonderful too. No pressure though—I’m mainly looking to meet good people, hang out, and enjoy life together.

A little about me:
I enjoy exploring Oregon, scenic drives, coffee, trying new food, movies, and EDM/music festivals.
I’m always down for a walk, grabbing food, checking out local events, or just having a good conversation.
I’m open to trying new hobbies too.
If anyone is in a similar situation, wants to hang out, or has recommendations for groups, events, or places where people actually meet and make friends, I’d really appreciate it.
Feel free to comment or send me a message. Hopefully this is the start of meeting some awesome people and leaving the loneliness behind.
Thanks for reading! ❤️

Sneakerhead Dad - anyone able to host a Nike HQ visit?

Hey everyone! My family and I are taking a road trip down from Canada with my family from July 31st to August 4th (dates are flexible). My dad has been a massive sneakerhead his whole life and seeing the Nike World HQ campus and checking out the store in Beaverton has been on his bucket list forever. I don't know if you need to have a pass or if someone has to physically let you in, but if an employee happens to have an extra guest pass for the store, or even wouldn't mind giving us a quick walk around on campus, I’d be super grateful! I promise we won't resell!!!

He has no idea I'm looking for a pass in, and it would be a suprise for him on the trip. Pls DM me if you have anything available or if you can help us out😛!!

Appreciate any help or advice you guys have!

And now I can’t find the thread! My bad. I shouldn’t have wandered off. I need to get cracked really good and am looking for both Portland and Beaverton recommendations. This would be Kaiser self-referred. Thank you.

Came across a Chinese Goose (domesticated breed) along with a couple of ducks that seemed out of place at Commonwealth. Can’t take them home but I’m worried about them.

Gyms with classes for fat people???

Hi yall,

I’m a plus size girly. I’m currently recovering from surgery (unrelated to weight don’t start) and figured now would be a good time to look at some gyms and get recs for when I can start being active again in a few weeks.

Right now my eta is mid august for picking something and getting into a class.

I have some medical stuff that I’ve finally got under control that lead to weight gain and I would like to get it off - that said I have some muscle but not a ton of stamina for most of it. I’m a hair dresser which is a pretty active job as far as muscle control and stamina in arms and core/back (standing) but as far as elevated heart rate style work out I get light headed so I need something that I can work up that stamina so I can do more aggressive things in the future like HIIT or something.

Really I’m looking for a body positive and time flexible (evening classes or choose which class(es) you attend week to week) options, and likely yoga or something that engages the muscles similarly. I’m open to any and all suggestions, but I would do best with a guide of some sort and I’m not looking to build crazy muscle right now.

TLDR: Looking for classes body positive and flexible times!
