FREE EVENT!!! Come say hi!
On August 2nd from 12-3, come join me at the first (hopefully) annual Geocaching Snack and Swap!
Located on the front yard of 229 Southview Road
The Geocaching Snack and Swap is an event I thought up where we can exchange our extra:
•SWAG
•Containers
•Craft Supplies
•Trackables
•Tools
While we all enjoy snacks and chat!
It is encouraged for you to bring yourself a lunch as well as any surplus Geocaching Supplies you'd like to get rid of. Chips, cookies, and water will be provided, and you're also welcome to bring food to share with other attendees. For those who don't bring anything to swap OR food to share, there will be a Freebies table that anyone is welcome to grab from.
Activities
•Main Swap- A few tables set up for everyone to get rid of old or unused Geocaching items and take home some new ones!
•Picnic- There will camping chairs and blankets set out on the lawn where everyone can sit, socialize, and snack away!
•Build a Cache Table- An empty table with paper and pens so you can assemble your Geocaches with your newly obtained containers and SWAG
•SWAG Buttons and Bracelets- A corner in the yard with Pony Bead Friendship Bracelet and 37mm button making supplies so you can make some cute handmade SWAG!
•Raffles- I'll be hosting a free to enter raffle for three baskets! There will be a SWAG basket, a tools of the trade basket, and a container basket! Every attendee will receive three tickets upon arrival to spread between the baskets as they please.
•Discovery Table- There will be a labeled table for any Travel Bugs that you want to have other attendees Discover, but not take. (You're also welcome to keep them on your person!)
•Trackable Send Off Table- A table for you to send off your trackable to start it's journey in the trusty hands of another cacher.
Rules
•Providing you have either brought things to donate to the swap or a snack to share with everyone, there is no limit to the amount of items you grab from the tables as long as you leave enough for other attendees. If you don't bring anything, you may still take from the Freebies table and come to socialize!
•Please don't bring any animals. My pup would probably bark his head clear off haha. (If you have a service animal, let me know in advance and I'll figure something out with your input)
•Please make sure to not leave garbage anywhere!
•Bringing food to share is optional! If you make something homemade, please bring a card with it's name and common allergens
•If you have stuff left on the table at the end of the event, you can chose to leave it with me or bring it home.
•Most importantly, be kind and stay a while to chat!

Residents of Barrie with a valid Waterfront Parking permit can park on the road or in the Minet's Point Park parking lot. If you don't have a permit but live in Barrie, the pass is free to obtain.
